“Nice place only 2 small problems”
Lots of stairs (no big deal) and locked doors when I got back late. (They eventually let me in) otherwise good spot.

“A nice homestay in central Hue”
We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and reasonably priced. There is no elevator, so be prepared to clim a few stairs if your room is located on the top floor. Also we could do laundry for 25k per kilo. The host English is not perfect, but she is always willing and trying to help you.

“Would 100% recommend”
The owner was so so nice and helpful, we felt like home. Breakfast was amazing and only 1,50$. We would definitely come again!

“Absolutely fantastic guesthouse”
We had a wonderful time at this guesthouse. The staff were kind and friendly, offering us advice where required and always had big smiles when we saw them. The room rate was very competitive, included a good sized room, clean bathroom, good shower, comfortable beds, good WiFi and free water refills. No complaints from the owners when we got back in late on a couple of nights. The location is perfect - right on the walking street with lots of restaurants around the area. Can't recommend enough.

“Nice hotel and super friendly owner”
I arrived Hue quite early (7AM) on the first day of the booking, the owner still allowed me to check in. The room is nice, clean and with a window. Location is perfect, on the walking street, near to city center, you can find lots of bars and restaurants around. Motorbike renting was fast and easy because it belongs to the hotel owner. The toilet is a bit dark but still acceptable. I am impressed by the owner, she is really supportive, cared about my experience at Hue and gave recommendations about what to eat and where to go.

“Wonderful stay”
The hotel has the best shower head ever :) Also, In a great location where all action takes place so it might be noisy even after 12. The hostess is very welcoming and nice. Ask for a room with a balcony, it’s smaller but much nicer. A small issue, there are ants in the rooms (we switched 2 rooms but not because of that) not much of a bother more an FYI.

“Nice hotel but avoid the tour-seller ”
The hotel and staff were very nice and helpful :) It was very clean and perfect location in the walking street. The only thing: Don't let yourself be pushed into a tour from the man which is sometimes there. Our trip with one of his driver's ended in an total chaos..

“Perfect homestay, amazing people ”
Such friendly, genuine and warm service. Helpful with things to see in a Hue and helped us rent a bike. Breakfast was great. Perfect location and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend for a short stay in Hue :) thank you so much x

“Home from home”
We stayed for 1 week and the lady who owns the hotel is lovely and will make sure your stay is comfortable. Hotel is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was very filling which was a fantastic start to our day. Motorbike rental and laundry services available for competitive prices. The absolute best part of this hotel is their resident pug. He is the cutest most placid dog ever. He loves a cuddle! Thank you for a lovely stay we hope to return one day soon. <3

“Lovely”
Good location. It's easy to get from all the main attractions and restaurants. Room bright and clean. Excellent breakfast. Scooter and bike for rent available for a good price. Family staff really lovely, helpful and kind Everything for a honest right price. We would definitly come back. Highly raccomended!!

“Perfect little guesthouse ”
Great location and perfectly clean with a comfy bed. I recommend lying the $1.50 for unlimited fresh bread, eggs and fruit. The family who own it are very accommodating we booked one night through Agoda and stayed one extra before we headed on to Phong Nha. They also have a friendly Pug which makes life all the better.

“Affordable guest house with good service”
The guest house's location is very convenient where most of the cafe, restaurants and pubs are within walking diatance. The host was very helpful and flexible. We requested early breakfast and they arranged for us. The room was very clean too.

“Very welcoming”
The room was large, clean and comfortable but above all we were charmed by our host who spoke to us in Vietnamese but communicated perfectly! Of course she was assisted by others who spoke English well, but she made us feel really welcome and took good care of us in our short stay. It was more like a home stay which was rather nice.

“Cute place, top location, family feeling”
Though in the middle of the busy streets Minh Tam is cozy thanks to the location in a small alley. The living room and the rooms are as in local families, spacious light and clean. Don‘t espect a modern western hotel, there is no lift or separate toilet/shower. Really nice host, reliable advice and help to book private cars around Hue or to Hoi An. Cute dog. Good breakfast.

“overwhelming”
I was neither extremely happy not upset with my stay here. when we got there we were given a room for 5 people, which was nice. we were on a strict time schedule the next day and hired a motorbike which turned out to stall every 300m. we got 9km away until this started happening so had to waste an hour pushing the bike back to get a new one. they got us a new one with happy faces. they then asked us to switch rooms when I was already running behind on time so this annoyed me.the shower was broken in this room. the breakfast was good but the couple was very over whelming. they would not accept that I didn't want a drink with my breakfast and they (very nicely) gave us extra pancakes, but we really didn't want but felt we had to eat them. they also let us check out an hour later. so I would stay here again out of convinence but I wouldn't rush back. the worst thing was that the man pushed me to buy a bus ticket through him (which he said went directly to Ha Long bay) which didn't and left us waiting in Hanoi for hours (after a night of no sleep and the previous night had no sleep because there are no curtains on the door so our room was very bright). I asked for a direct ticket and if someone had told me we waited in Hanoi I would have booked accomodation there . Queen cafe open tour -- don't book bus service through them.

“非常に満足”
The guesthouse owners didn't speak english but after one phone call, their niece came and helped us plan the next day, made us change our plans for the buses with better location for the next place we wanted to go. Very good breakfast for an aditional fee (1,5$, which is nothing). Very satisfied with our stay

“Nên ở Minh Tâm nếu du lịch Huế”
Mình ở 3 ngày 2 đêm ở Minh Tâm. Cô chủ tốt tính, 8h sáng mình tới vẫn được checkin sớm mà không tính phí. Phòng luôn được dọn sạch, khách sạn ở ngay khu phố đi bộ, trung tâm các hoạt động cafe và quán ăn. Giá thành rẻ đối với 1 địa điểm ở trung tâm, gần cầu Trường Tiền và các địa điểm khác. Recommend cho ai đi du lịch Huế

“Very bad experience ”
We booked this hotel for my parent through Agoda, however when my parents came, they told them that there was no room and sent them to the nearby guesthouse name Nhat Thanh address 17 Chu Van An. Unbelievable, the hotel staff did bargain the price in order to pass my parents - heard about 200000 vnd. They have also encountered the bad service at that guesthouse as they were considered as cheap stay.

“Great location”
It's located in a good area, not super close to the Imperial City (about a 30-minute walk but a cheap taxi ride) however it's close to lots of nice restaurants, bars, and shops. So I found it a really enjoyable location to stay in. I was actually surprised by just how nice Hue is! Plus, on the weekend they closed the street and surrounding couple of streets off to traffic in the evenings and didn't even allow motorbikes in, so it was a lovely atmosphere shopping / eating there. And there was a dragon stilts show on the street with drums and music. The room was basic but great for the price and the breakfast was good. The only negative for me was that they offer tours and were a little overly persuasive suggesting I book one, but I had already booked a different tour before I arrived so couldn't try it out.

“Best room during our 1 month trip through Vietnam!”
Nice and very clean room, great shower! Breakfast was amazing and the hosts are great people! Shops and restaurants nearby. The guesthouse can organize tours, bike and motorbike rental for you. Everything was perfect, we would definitely stay again! Thank you :)

“Pleasant stay”
Location is great, the family is very friendly and eager to help. Rooms were clean. The bed was extremely hard but the pillows were ok. They offer laundry services for next to nothing. I would stay here again.

“Perfect Little Place”
I stayed here when I was just getting over a bad flu, and it was actually perfect. My own little room with patio and bathroom. They gave me a towel and a blowdryer, free breakfast in the morning (the coffee with milk is actually amazing). Feels like home because you are actually in someone's house. Made it an even better experience.

“Great value for budget stay.”
For somewhere to sleep at a great price it's hard to beat. Friendly and helpful owners. Boys loved the pug dog and 'security' bird was entertaining. Easy walk to sites and eating / walking street nearby on weekend nights. After staying at more expensive hotels it was great to have a shower that surpassed them. Easy to recommend.

“Great place to stay in Hué”
The room was super clean and quite big, the staff very nice (though a bit pushy when they offer you city tours and day trips but I guess it’s quite the same everywhere ^^). Great location with plenty of restaurants and bars around, and in a quiet little alley so not bothered at night when the neighborhood is quite animated 😊 Great value for money!!

“Brilliant value for money. Brilliant owners. ”
We stayed at a different hotel the night before, that cost nearly double the Minh Tam, and was no where near as good. The place is clean, the staff are very friendly, the breakfast is lovely and MASSIVE, beds are comfy, rooms are clean and it's really cheap. Can't go wrong.

“So good!”
This place is perfect! We stayed two nights. The room is big and clean, with AC, fan... the toilet is fine, with hot water working perfectly. The stuff so kind and helpful, they rent us motorbikes for a cheap price. The breakfast, not included, is cheap but very tasty and in good quantity. The only thing I would mention, lot of noisy roosters nearby that wake up us early, but it was funny.

“The Best of Hue!!”
While the hotel is not going to dazzle you with its beauty, it's an insanely good value and the family that runs the place are super kind, generous, attentive, and clean. The beds could be softer, but this seems to be a theme in Vietnam ;) Breakfast was really good and they gave us a huuuuge pancake for free!! Plus the best part is they have an adorable pet pug!! 10/10 would stay here again. Thanks everyone!!

“What a delight”
We stayed here for one night and left very early the next day. Wish we spent longer here as the owner is just wonderful. Room is clean and comfortable, little loud with the birds in the morning but apart from that it's just great! The pug is the cutest, absolutely harmless. We had a HUGE breakfast it was very tasty! Even got a lovely hug off the owner as we left, felt like she was our mum sending her kids away! Beautiful!

“Comfortable & clean”
The room was very good for the price; spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also great, very clean. The room was cleaned every day and it had a balcony. The location is close to lots of cafes and restaurants, but not noisy since it's in a small alley. The staffs were very nice, they also gave me a water bottle when i checked in but unfortunately don't speak much english. But they had packaged tour brochures in the hotel (didn't use them though so can't review about the tours). The guesthouse has a pug and it's lovely :)

“Excellent”
Awesome place! Room was big, clean and bright, beds were comfy, bathroom was very clean with a great shower. Room was cleaned every day. Family who runs this guesthouse is incredible nice and they made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast was good too for just $1.5 they serve you good portions. You can rent motorbikes as well for a very cheap price here. Really good place to stay, definitely would come back here.

“Great cheap place to stay in the middle of hue”
The staff/owners where incredible, they couldn't help enough, it's located so close shops etc. I didn't like Hue at all, too many hustlers trying to sell you stuff etc, shop around, I decided to try the 5 stop hop on hop off bus, prices ranged from $80 usd to what I ended up paying $25

“Staff were great”
This guest house is in the back packer area about 20min walk from the old centre. The staff here are great and welcoming ,they serve a BIG breakfast each morning which is eggs , banana pancake and a big plate of fruit plus coffee . The rooms although a little dated are clean and tidy. Everything you need food and drinking wise is very close by ..

“Your home away from home in Hue”
We had such a great time at Minh Tam Guesthouse. Our host was so welcoming and during our stay we truly felt like part of the family. They also have an extremely cute pug and six month old baby. The rooms are cozy and very clean and there is great wifi. Do not miss out!
