good hotel
Nice park front of the hotel, pity that no view from room window.
NOT GOOD
Overall good
We e joy staying at Lien Phuong because the proximity to so many key attractions. This is our fourth time staying here. The staff are very helpful. There’s a few little things that could be made to improve the hotel but their minor. I wish they had an English news channel on their TV like BBC or CNN.
Pros, good staff, the suite was very spacious and clean, the location was perfect for us needing to get to the US Consulate. Lawyer Office, and FV hospital, directly across from a park which is nice except when there are events like the fair at night it was booming bass noise like a techno beat, not a fan. Cons, the bed though huge was too firm for me, the pillows were equal to an 80 lbs. bag of cement I couldn't sleep on them, made a pillow from the robes and pillowcase , next time would bring our own pillows, food was average at best or a little below, no frills in the room plain simple no nice soaps, or toiletries for a suite you would expect a little more, the street rooms have a lot of street noise I was on the 5th floor, the cliche "you get what you pay for" applied for 50$ a night it was fair.
My review in detailed scores: (8 is satisfied) Staff: 9/10 (very helpful and always smiling) Breakfast: 5/10 (If you want something tasty to enjoy in the morning, just go eat outside, or else, for a busy business person, it's acceptable) Toalet: 9/10 (have bath tub, and very clean) Air conditioner: 6/10 (old, have little noise and hard to control using the remote) Bed: 8/10 (clean but not quite comfortable) Other facilities on overall: 8/10 (new and clean) Others: Ironing fee for a white T-shirt is only VND 5000
It was in a convenient location. We arrived there about 2hours earlier to check-in time, but they let us in our room easily. Day time stuff was kind and fluent in English, but not reliable....We needed to leave the hotel around 5:00am to catch a 7:30am flight next day, so asked an estimate transportation to the airport. She said she won’t be here tomorrow morning, but somebody in the shift will be able to call a grab(cheaper cab - like Uber) for us, it’s gonna be around 60.000vdn and takes about 30mins. I double checked with her before we go to bed. However, in the morning we came down to the entrance, a guy in a t-shirt & sweat pants was sleeping in the reception corner floor, he said he doesn’t know how to call Grab, and if you like, wait another 30mins and a porter will come in and he can do that for us.....no communication between daytime person & night one. We ended up using a local white cab which costs 120.000vdn. Luckily we had a just enough cash to pay. It was 15mins ride.
it's near by the " pink" church But the room is not really clean Abit old. So far still ok !
nice place to stay
friendly reception and nice facility with unlimited breakfast
Without doubt, the single worst experience in hcmc. Room was unclean, sheets not changed, and the night manager tried to extort more money for the room upon arrival in the evening. Do yourself a favor, stay elsewhere!
We choose Lien Phuong for its location, price ND reviews. As soon as we arrived we were upgraded from a standard room to a family suite. The room was perfect and had a bathtub. Wifi, TV and AC all worked great. Breakfast was a ttpical Vietnamese style but you could order as much as you wanted. Food was good. The service was helpful and the front desk were friendly. Le Van Tham park was right across the street. Which we went every morning to exercise. Coop market, ATMs and hundreds of restaurants were all close. We're staying here again on our next visit to HCMC.
This is the place to stay if you want to experience Vietnamese culture first hand. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. No request was ignored and each member of the Evergreen staff responded graciously whenever we prevailed upon them. Unfortunately, I had a medical emergency while staying at the hotel which required hospitalization. Ms. Lien's staff jumped into action at her direction and helped me into a waiting vehicle that sped me away to the hospital. The doctors told me that had I not arrived as quickly as I did the outcome would have been severe. Upon my return, I informed Ms. Lien that I was scheduled to move into an apartment the following day. I asked her if I could hire one of her men to help me carry suitcases into my new home as I was physically unable. Not only did she make a man available; she insisted that she would do this at no charge in order to help me. Thank you, Ms. Lien, and your fine staff! You literally saved my life. For those of you who do not require a visit to the hospital during your stay, make sure you venture across the street to the public park to see how the locals spend their free time and just how warm and friendly the people are.The location also affords easy access to all the top sites to visit during a short or long stay. I only wish that I could give this facility, Ms. Lien and her wonderful staff a 10 star review rather than 5.
Great hotel and few steps away from district 1 A bit noisy if you choose the room facing the park, otherwise the rooms on the other side has a wall/neighbor view Friendly staff and decent breakfast Would recommend this to fellow travelers
Nice furnishings and clean rooms and hotel. I liked that it's located next to a beautiful park and also really easy to find. Only thing I didn't like was that it's a smoking hotel, someone was smoking in the hallway and I could smell it in my room. The smell left eventually.
Friendly and helpful staff made the vacation easier. Good variety for the included breakfast
Receptionist was very helpful, recommending a cost effective tour company for trips to the Mekong delta, thank you. Parking attendant was helpful in directing me to a motorcycle wash and oil change garage, thank you.
overall was good
Friendly staff and overall helpful. The bathroom could do with an upgrade; the Toto flush is super silent(big plus).
Check in late ( around 1AM ) still had warm welcome by the staff and a speedy check-in progress for us ( took us less than 5mins to have our paperwork done ) . Nice and clean room , except for the window view . Would recommend
Overall satisfied.
Good good service clean rooms
My room was nice inside - the only drawback is that you have to decide between park view (nice view, but noisy street) and quiet room (with no or non-beautiful view). Furniture is not new, but totally OK. The fridge was a little noisy at night, AC was OK. The cabinet had some dusty corners... you get what you pay for. Breakfast was nice - no buffet, but free-flow à la carte. Some Western dishes (Toast, french toast, pancakes, different variations of egg), some fruits, a big choice of vietnamese soups and nice drinks. Service was a little bit unorganized sometimes (a few times accidentally served stuff no one had ordered / maybe wrong table?), but I always got everything I had ordered, and that's the important part. They were friendly as well. Next time I will check competition's websites again, but I can imagine well to come back.
You can very well hear noise coming from the street
A little to far from main action district 1
Within walking distance to museums, super clean, and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Beside the location and the friendly staff the Evergreen Hotel was not good at all. The interior is absolute obsolete and does not support a well-being feeling. The air conditioner in our room was defective. During our trip through Vietnam this was the most expensive hotel but also the worst.
Wanted a decent place close to airport for a comfortable rest before catching an early flight out next morning. Housed in a nondescript building, first impression of Lien Phuong was not profound. Greeted by a friendly receptionist, presented my agoda booking and was checked in within minutes. Got a room at the rear annex without elevator access. Thankfully my luggage was light. Room was basic - double bed, flat screen tv, shower with bath tub. No water kettle and instant hot beverages provided but these were not important. Sheets and towels were clean. Air con, hot shower and cable tv worked fine. These mattered more. A la carte breakfast had more Vietnamese options than western ones. Sufficient to say the least. Given the rate per night, it definitely makes Lien Phuong a hotel worth returning to.
Well located, great staff
Cheap room in central location, yet nicely away from the tourist hub. Bed was clean, hot shower and good internet. Hairdryer wasn't working, but I'm sure they would replace it if we would ask.
I stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and I was satisfied about my stay. The personel is providing a good service and is very helpful adn able to speak English on a good level. The food in the hotel's restaurant I found to my satisfaction. I did not make it for breakfast every morning but I can recommend the omelette. As the hotel is just next to a road with lots of traffic, some trafic noise may occur. If you spend most of your time in district 1, you will have to calculate 50,000 Dong each way as this hotel located in district 3
Great staff, good location, clean.
Great location but ITCHY BED and no electronic kettle provided.
Great price, very good service, good fod
Great price, very very good service, very clean
Great for a quick trip, large rooms, fast wifi.
The place is across the street from Le Van Tam park, a good ways away from the bustle of District 1. Best reason to stay here is that you wake up to the smell of roasting coffee beans from the little indie coffee shop that's a couple of doors away!
It was lucky to be there.
I will recommend anyone who is looking for a hotel with great value to stay here. I will definitely be staying here on my next trips.
Great Location, quite clean, but a little bit noisy in the morning (8-10a.m). Some staffs not friendly.
Great value, clean and with every in-room facility you'd want.
A fifteen minute walk from the main centre.A large park across the road, and a smaller market three minutes away. Breakfast is very good. Good value and will stay here again
we stayed here for 4 nights. we asked for 2 single beds. single bed is smaller than we thought but we put 2 beds together and used it as 1 king size bed. room was clean, has air conditioner, fridge, TV,,, not so fancy but very clean and neat. nothing to complain about it! if I be more specific, bath mat be wet somehow even we used shower curtain correctly. but shower works perfect. bath tub is a bit shallow though. in front of this hotel, there's a park which local people enjoy some activities in morning and night (like any other small parks in Vietnam) . at night they have small amusement ground for child that we also enjoyed it like local kids. I choose this hotel because I wanted to go to park. and this hotel is also walkable to some of the main spot in HCMC. was a right decision to stay here. all staffs are very friendly and helpful.they told me that someone is always at the reception ( we checked in almost midnight ). a guy looks like manager even help me call to the hotel in next destination to ask for airport-pick-up. Breakfasts are delicious and we could choose from many kind of Vietnamese noodles(they also have rice soup, western style breakfast). eating place is on the top of this building that you can eat in balcony if you want to.
We stayed there one night and were satisfied with the location close to the center, the room was clean, staff at the reception very helpfull, breakfast was tasty and situated in the highest floor with nice view. It is a good place to stay.
Excellent breakfast, convenient location (16 minutes / 1.2 km to Notre Dame Cathedral and other tourist stuff in District 1; 4 minutes / 350 meters to local Tan Dinh Market; closer to aiport than all that hotels in District 1), polite stuff, good cleanliness, nice view from the roof, low prices at the hotel restorant. I will definitely use this hotel again!
I choose this hotel after 2-night stay at Mai Vuong Hotel, hoping for a quieter place to replace before journey back the next day. It was 42k VDN taxi fare from central District 1 (Ben Thanh market), not too bad. Big park opposite the hotel for you to spend your leisure time. You can buy prawn spring roll for snack at 5k VDN. Morning and night there are street food stall- spring roll at night and bahmi in the morning. You will love the breakfast-good western and vietnamese style to select from the menu. Cons is blur screen for the TV channels, somehow you get used to it after a while. Another cons is I choose the window room but at midnight from 12-1.30, I hear constant renovation and drilling sound which the staff claims to be sewage truck sound. I complain for the 2nd time and he gives me another room to continue my sleep (Which I have difficulty to sleep afterward). Perhaps the room is windowless, that's why the noise is reduced. That is why I can't rate this hotel for 7.9. I will give it a 6.5 because good night sleep is important to guest.
Only there for one night, but staff very helpful and I re-booked same hotel for flight to return home.
The staff is standard. They not help too much but do the main things.
“最高!”
This hotel is situated in District 3 and is walking distance to things like the Remnants War Museum. There is a lively park to explore across the road. We found it perfect for our needs when in Ho Chi Minh and have booked in again for a few more days when we return
