“Disappointed ”

Very rundown room, photos must be 20 years old. Breakfast is either noodle soup or 2 eggs and a bread roll, no restaurant just a room with 2 menu options. The hotel description is outdated.

“Good value and location”

Right in center of city by Ben Thanh market. Very convenient.

Do not recommend! We asked for a non-smoking room and the room we got smelled so much like smoke. We couldn’t get a different room but luckily we only stayed for a night. Mediocre at best.

Location was right next to Ben Thanh market. The majority of the staff was nice but I didn’t like the transparency of pricing when I asked to stayed half a day extra. Because of that, I’ll stay at another hotel nearby next time. Also, the door locks need to be updated from manual lock to card swipe.

This hotel is located in an area with a lot of restaurants, shops and massage salons. Next door is a big market which transforms into a night market after sunset. It's close to all the tourist hotspots. The staff is very helpful, and if you need anything they can arrange it for you.

The hotel is valuable for money and location is amazing from restaurant and market been thanh and saigon center .but I had to ask staff to clean the floor of my room .breakfast is basic Vietnamese and same as every day . about the facilities room is very small you can't have your stuff easily in the room unless you have some mess around .about the staff .all of them.are fine and smily than maybe Hoang she was agreesive and not good listener .I had once to take taxi and he didn't have change and I asked reception to change so receptionist guy Thai was very friendly and he paid me 34000 don't which is 1.5 USD and when I was checking out this Hoang was insisted that they pay 64000 which is not real unless I had history for grab taxi and I never had such amount .she was agreesive and doesn't want to listen .she made me angry at last minute .

Ive stayed here 10 times over the past 3 years. I dont recommend staying on the ground floor as it's noisy but otherwise no complaints about this hotel. super friendly staff and good value for money rooms. amazing location. make sure you try 4P's pizza restaurant around the corner ...best pizza in town

pros - near must see areas cons - staff not helpful. chung even shouted at us when we requested him to assist us in weighing our baggage. unlike other hotels that we stayed inHCMC, staff are helpful and jolly fellows. lower floor rooms are noisy.

“Strategic location and reasonable hotel room rate”

We reserved a family room so that my daughter can have her own space and bathroom. This room is interconnected with each other so space is enough for the three of us. Breakfast is not appealing though with 4 selections to choose and repeated for the entire duration of our stay, 6 nights. The dining area is at 10th floor that you have to use the stairs from 8th floor to 10th floor. Elevator is only up to 8th floor. No free bottled water in room. The staff are nice esp the housekeeping staff. Although the kind of cleaning they do esp making the bed is not as neat and well organized. Noise from the outside your room can be heard but bec you will be tired after the whole day, it doesnt matter. Ben tanh market is so near! The famous Street Food Market is walking distance only. You can actually walk going to Saigon Center, Saigon Square!

This is a great location central to what I needed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I only wish all rooms would come with a safety box.

This is by far the best value for money stay in HCMC for me on my travels... and ive been travelling for 17 years. Great location with spacious rooms with seperate bathroom and which is RARE for HCMC. I would highly recommend this place!

My friend and I had a great time in saigon. We are regular travellers and normally I use Air BnB but for this trip I wanted to be very centrally located and this hotel didn't dissapoint :) Staff on front desk are super friendly and kind and helped us in every way possible. Maid service could do with not waking us at 9:30am everyday but otherwise fine Showers are very low so tall guys goodluck Was traveling with my Vietnamese gf and not always easy to stay in hotels unless married but this hotel is accepting of all female guests Good value, would definately stay again

“Distance/Amenities”

Hotel was a one min walking distance to Ben Thanh market. Service was great with very helpful and accomodating staffs attending to us throughout the whole trip. Slightly disappointed when there was no flask in our family room. Requested for one but was instead given a thermos. However, since daily replenishment (upon request) of thermos was quick, the stay throughout was good.

Becareful wheb you ask the staff to help you make a booking for transport or any booking, the price they charge is higher than normal.

Guest friendly! Bathroom a bit awkward with the way the doors swing. Bath sink and vanity not attached to the wall. Wants to fall forward very easily. Could get ugly real quick!

Convenient location 5 Min walk to Ben Than market. Grab Taxi and Grab Moto available. Staff service is excellent. Although room small but value for money. You pay for what you get. Local food available with walking distance. You can get a transport to airport at USD9 for maximum 5 people. Check with the reception.

Really enjoyed my stay at Lien An Saigon Hotel, the location is excellent, the staff are fantastic and really helpful with tours, information and directions, breakfast was great, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

“Too cramped”

The room is too small that there is no space for you to walk. Feels like one of those cheap budget hotel. If you could imagine, there are only 3 rooms to each floor. The sheets are dirty like they've not changed it after the previous occupant. There is no complimentary bottled water in the room. The staff wanted me to pay VND 10,000 after using her tape to seal my box! As I was asking the staff where to get the bahn mi, he was giving me directions half way and just walked away to have his breakfast in the room. I'll never recommend this hotel to anyone who visits HCMC.

“Don't bother staying here”

It's an old fashion hotel, like those you would find in olden days Peking. For slightly more money, you can get much better hotel around the area, eg. The Luxe or Avanti. The room is so small, there's hardly place to even walk or sit. Really, don't bother.

overall a good experience at the hotel. the room was very clean clean, it had a clean, dry bathroom and a shower with strong water flow. There were several English channels (but no news channels) on TV. Unfortunately the standard room was claustrophobically tiny and it had a very small window facing the side wall of the next hotel, making it very dark. It felt like a windowless room. Pay a little more for a higher standard room with bigger windows and space, and try booking from the hotel's website for better value. The staff were friendly and the receptionist was helpful and spoke very good english. It is located within walking distance to all the central tourist areas.

“OK stay in HCMC”

Our stay at the Lien An Hotel was a decent value for the money. We booked a double room, but it was much smaller than most other rooms we have stayed in throughout SE Asia. The shower in the bathroom was great and had excellent hot water, however, we had trouble with our toilet running and leaking throughout our 3-day stay. We also had a lot of trouble with the WiFi on our floor. The breakfast was OK—about 3-4 options available to order (not buffet style). Mostly noodles/Vietnamese style dishes. The location of the hotel, however, was great. We paid $30 a night, and felt like this was a fair value for the money. Living and working as English teachers in Hue, we knew to expect higher prices in the city. Overall, I'd say that this place will probably be satisfactory for most people. No huge complaints, but it wasn't the best value for the money either. Felt like we should have been paying closer to $20/night here. But we were still pretty content with our stay here.

staff perfomance was very poor, they speak very little english. they demand you to surrender your passport at the counter. if you feel uncomfortable about handing over your passport to a stranger, dont stay in this hotel.
