building looks worn out fr outside but the room we had is newly renovated , quiet, perfect place to crash...room has fridge n microwave...the surroundings is scary during the night...paid 5 usd for parking per day, which is awesome...its about 1.5-2 miles to downtown....its definitely worth the money! would recommend it👍

“Good clean room close to the center downtown LA”
I really recommend. Free breakfast included. Nice staff. The pool for the kids. Good price.

“The room has renovated but outside is poor and felt unsafe. No coffee or tea in the room.”
We asked hotel book a taxi, they booked a private car . We asked driver how do you charge , he ( a middle aged man with spinish accent) said he has a meter, he used his ipad as a meter. His meter run very fast . We found out and pointed the problem on the way . His meter was $83 with no mile ( on the way to the hotel from the same airport was $58). You can not trust them.

“Affordable hotel, but a little dated”
The hotel is a little dated, with mouldy carpets, and a musky smell. However it was good for a one-night stay.

“Great hotel”
If you're looking for something better than motel quality, this is the best deal in downtown LA. Very unassuming from the outside but very nice inside. The room was clean and had modern design. Bathroom was marvelous. Water pressure in the sink was low but it didnt matter much. Hallway was a bit noisy in the morning. If you're out enjoying the city during the day and most of the night it really shouldn't matter much to you. It is genuinely a good hotel and a comfy place to lay your head.

“Good breakfast”
- Good location, very close to downtown. - nice staff. no wifi in room (you can connect it but never work), only can use wifi in reception area; Air conditioner is a bit old, seems not function very well. but it was fine for us, as it wasnt that hot when we stayed there.

“Beware when Booking”
I booked 2 rooms through Agoda and Pay in advance. Invoice stated include Facilities Fee. I was shocked when they told us we have to pay USD220 for the 3 days stay. When questioned they said is for facility use which include USD30 per night for Parking

The bed sheets were stained so was the carpet. The furniture was beat up, looked liike gum or glue stuck to it. Wall paper coming off the trim from the wall and window. Smelled horrible.

“Great Staff bad Neighborhood”
The Hotel itself isn’t bad. A little old for some people tastes, however is good for the money you are paying. The problem with this property is the Neighborhood where it is located. You don’t feel secure to come back at the hotel at night by walking, even though train station is just three blocks away.

“すごく良い”
This is a good value for money hotel. It is well located, I was a bit concerned because of other reviews about the neighbourhood, yes, it is a latin area, but people, mexican people don’t eat anyone. There was a mexican food truck just few meters from the hotel dorection downtown, Arias Amai Catering, amazing food and kind people running it. The only bad thing of the hotel was that the pool was out of service and it was not advised at any moment of the reservation, quite annoying thinking about the hot weather, you spend all they visiting L.A. and it’d be amazing to be able to have a swim at the end of the journey.

“Facilities.”
Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable after we were moved from the noisiest room facing the main street to a ground floor facing carpark. Pool was empty and in state of disrepair. There was no garden area where a smoker could comfortably have a cigarette. A table and chair setting in outside area would have been nice. The only place to have a cigarette was standing in the car park. Not very friendly at all.

“Nice hotel for sweet price”
Area is okay and close to downtown (not as run down as other critics claim) - rooms are good with big showers, quite confortable beds. Reception was very nice and the security parking guy was quite cool

Nice hotel but know it is in a sketchy neighborhood. Okay to walk in day but not at night. Nice breakfast and can walk to train station if you’ve got thick skin.

“Very comfy”
As a last minute stay(within2hrs) this room was very clean the bed was super comfy and the staff were very friendly, my family and I would stay here again it was so close to universal studios

I stay here for 2 days. front desk staff (Alma)was really excellent and very helpful. She helped me to plan my trip x 1 1/2 days and advice me well . Location very close to downtown and well connected with city. Building is old but maintained well. Breakfast is also good. Surely will stay again and may be for long vacation.

“Close to downtown ”
Close to downtown, delux room is worth it. Parking is $5 overnight and worth it as neighbourhood a bit rough- good price for proximity to cbd but you have to weigh that up with neighbourhood. Felt safe on property though. 24 hr reception and well lit parking lot. Drlux room newly renovated and very clean. Have stayed here before and we came back and would come back.

“It's OK.”
Dicey neighborhood, not very clean, staff not very hospitable, breakfast was fruit and coffee, very minimal, noisy outside, rooms nicely redecorated though. I would look for a nice place next time.

“It's fine but the bathroom was a little gross”
I'd stayed here before and found it perfectly pleasant but I remember the breakfast being better a few years ago than it is now. It's all a bit synthetic. And they should probably invest in real plates and cutlery instead of pumping all those plastic knives and forks and paper plates out into the world. The waste is really off-putting.

“Nice but a little out”
Staff were super friendly. Easy to walk a 2-3 blocks to main train line and get anywhere. Local area is a little dingey but easy to get an uber or train. City is a 10-15min walk. This place is simple and good for people coming and going, not so much soaky up the luxuries.

“It’s nice for what it’s worth. ”
Too much city noise. $5 charge for using hotel parking space even if you don’t park there because there is no space. Rooms are comfortable. Fridge and microwave are included which make the room better.

Terrible hotel dodgy area all we could hear was police sirens and people screaming walls paper thin can hear person next door having shower hotel extremely stuffy and smelt weird air con was crap and breakfast hardly a buffet dong stay

“Excellent room and cable.”
Have stayed here before, staff are always polite and helpful, the rooms are very good and clean. The negatives are the area outside the hotel is unclean in a poor neibourhood, there is a laundromat close, and the metro is a 5 minute walk. There is only one lift in the hotel, and this time it broke down and I had to carry a heavy suitcase down two flights of stairs, but I will continue to stay here if the price is right.

“Good choice ”
Not in an amicable neighborhood, but the hotel is secure. Very close to the downtown, price is affordable, breakfast is an advantage. The first day I arrived I found a cockroach in my room, disgusting situation, but staff was disposable to solutions (cleaning properly, accommodation in another room if available); the situation did not happen again and since then everything was well. They ask you for a deposit, very understandable and warned since you book online. In the end, recommended.

“Bad location but good service abd facilities”
I have visited to LA for business. The location is bad, if one would use the metro station at the 7th street. It's quite far, maybe 15 minutes by walking. In contrast, it's near from another station (about 5 minutes). Service is good and the front desk is kind. Facilities are also good. Room is clean. However, breakfast is bad because of just only a few-kinds of breads, coffees, and juice and the eating space is too small.

“Hotel Experience”
Our room was very disappointing. Bathtub paint was chipping away, lamp was not working, room took forever to cool down once we were in there, water pressure was horrible, stains on the floor and several other things we noticed. I think for the price of this room as well as the $125.00 deposit it is not worth it. I did hear the lady behind the counter talking about upgraded room we obviously did not get one. We were told that was breakfast as well but when we got downstairs around 8am there wasn't anything there besides tea and coffee. Very disappointing stay at your facility.

“Great staff. Has potential but needs some serious TLC.”
On our arrival we was welcomed by a friendly young man on reception, we was checked in quickly and shown to our room, unfortunately the room was disappointing , wallpaper peeling off the walls in places, dirty carpets and needed a good hoovering in places which had been clearly missed, there was a coffee maker in the room and hairdryer,clean towels. The bath looked worn out. The next morning we went for the breakfast which was fine for us, it consisted of eggs, yoghurts,bagels, muffins, pastries, bread, jam, cream cheese,bananas, apples, oranges,3 types of cereal,milk, tea.coffee, juice and a waffle maker.. no complaints there! we wanted to use the pool but it is just so un-inviting, so we gave it a miss, i didnt see anyone use it the whole time we were there. such a shame because it is a good size, just desperately needs renovating. The building looks tired, dirty carpets and everywhere needs a lick of paint..inside and out. We only used it as a base so was ok but unfortunately i probably would not have booked this hotel if i had seen it first.based on the poor state of it.

“left after the first night”
horrible place, dirty and unsafe. Aircon front panel fell and hit the bed exposing all the electrical. The electrical outlets were falling apart, unsafe. I never thought that Agoda would support these hotels, disgrace
