“Terrible experience”
Extremely unfriendly ！ Horrible hospitality， When I got at this place at 2 o’clock in the morning，one staff （white old man named Neil or something）roughly treat me saying You can not at this building without. I said even in a five star hotel I can stay at the lobby when I arrive too early. But that man just simply won't let me in and banish me outside to the street. He Ruined the reputation of this city. For international visiter travel by midnight air flight please Consider carefully when you booking this so called hotel.

“Never ever again”

“Good value for money, suitable for solo travelers for a short night,”
The location is good, the price is cheap, but it is noisy, especially the lobby on the first floor, it is noisy at night, maybe it is related to the New Year's Eve, The privacy is average and unobstructed.。

“For London, it's a good deal ! ”
The reception was very accommodating, we can leave our luggages in the morning before checkin and after check out. There are no lifts at all, but the staff helped carry our luggages up. The stairs can be confusing, rooms are not cramped, just enough space. Clean toilets and nice chill out space at the lobby! Location is good for shopping and Chinatown! We had nice breakfast as well !

“Mixed feelings, could be awesome or could be bad.”
The hostel itself is at an unbeatable location, the building is big, very clean, has great facilities, staff is fantastic (very unusual for London),, the restaurant is nice, prices are very reasonable, they even have a small games room with some arcades for extra fun, a small room to use computer and another place for girls to do their makeup, is nicely decorated too.. Also their luggage room is very safe. So why the mixed feelings? well, the purpose of a hostel is, at the end of the day, to sleep and I must say that the beds are bad, very shaky and the mattress thin, you have to be a very deep sleeper to rest well, I stayed at 2 different rooms, one had plugs and USBs on every bed, the other did not. Also the Wifi is quite slow. So, if you go for a short stay and can sleep well on an average bed, by all means, stay there. They have a massive amount of Koreans going there if that is your thing too :)

“Clean, right beside train station and Chinatown, breakfast included, friendly helpful staff. ”
Not many cons although an option could be provided regarding provision of soap/shampoo. Hot water supply was poor at times but minimal occurrence. Otherwise it was a great stay.

“Good location and clean ”
The location of the hostel is extremely convenient! Room is clean and tidy and the staffs are very helpful with every needs of yours. Girls would especially love the pamper room there, they provide plenty of hair dryers and hair straighteners. One con would be that the bed and pillow is not so very comfortable but eh it’s a hostel bed and it not that terrible indeed.

“Super good location and acceptable price”
Very good location. Close to Metro station and walkable distance to the shopping area and British museum. The public shower room is acceptable. I am a girl on a single trip, while the three roommates are all men. Luckily they are nice, or it would be very strange and uncomfortable. Only beds in the room. No other equipment or table or closet. Everyone put luggage on the floor. No safe actually. And the biggest problem is socket only available for the lower bed. If you sleep on upper bed, u need to talk to the guy sleeps under you to help you with the charging, which is quite inconvenient.

“ Only location but very bad bed tiny room”
The bed is very bad shaking right and left for every your tiny move or other person on top or bottom bed , also bed size is small while i not fat guy but comparing with other brand hostels (like wombats) sohostel has a very tide bed and poor quality as well . Bed linen were not clean the room has either no window or tiny window ,no air condition . I would not recommend at all unless for teenage whom purchasing location regardless to their sleep

“Good place except room”
Right in Soho around pubs and restaurants. Small bar and hang out room. The room was bad though. Zero space and worst bed I stayed at in a month of traveling. Hope you’re not picky when it comes to sleep.

“Great! Will definitely come back”
The location is perfect, only 10 minutes walk from main attraction in West End. There's a lot of restaurant nearby, and if you already had breakfast in your package, you can pay £1 extra to get hot meal. The staff very helpful, and they clean the room and the bathroom (even in the dorm one) every day.

“I dont recommend to stay here”
The reception staff is rude. Although i received a confirmation from the hotel that my early check in request has been approved, they just made me waiting until 2pm. The room is stuffy and very basic which doesnt worth for every single pennies that you spend. Will not recommend this place.

“Très bon séjour! ”
Accueil agréable, staff is very nice and helpful. Beds are surprisingly comfortable. The room is tiny, but sufficient. We were here to visit, not stay indoors! Shower rooms seemed cleaned. Despite the many doors and corridors, the nights were quite! No noise, shouting or door banging. Location is fantastic . The price is rather good for the location you get. Only problem, we had to go all the way down from blue zone to the street to smoke and that is a long way! ;) We recommend the gin rubharbe/ginger cocktail :)

“HORRIBLE”
Booked for two nights; stench of the shared shower and toilet in the Lime zone of level 1 was unbearable and the bottom part of the standing shower was peeling off; a common shower/toilet to share between several dorm rooms (not just several people in one dorm); left after a night and had to find a last min alternative accommodation; agoda customer service was of no help in aiding a refund for the 2nd night; absolutely wont be returning; never had such a hostel experience before; sohostel did not feel apologetic over the state of the shower/toilets and insisted on sticking to policy (not even as a one time exception)

“Place to stay after a night out in London”
Basically used this as a place to put my stuff, shower, go out to the theatre (very close by as excellent location), join a friend's party and then come back for a bit of a snooze. Facilities are basic, and a bit hot (was July) but clean, not noisy and location can't be faulted.

“Best location”
Location wise really it’s closeby most places. You can save transportation fee. Facility wasn’t bad but I gave 3 stars b/c of the elevator. I was on ground 4 for my last night stay, which is the same as 5th fl (had to change room cuz the room i was in was already full on that date - checking out before 10am and re-checking in after 2pm) - going up and down the stair carrying my heavy luggage!! Well, the staff who helped me checked out was really srry about it and i understand it’s not the staffs’ fault that the elevator is out of service. But it’s just that i was already really exhausted after my several days of touring; my feet were on fire. Otherwise, mostly good.

“Room is super small and no place can store personal staff”
Room is super small and no place can store personal staff, which like a store room and super crowded for 6 people. Need to walk 10min to underground station, not that convenient.

The location of the hostel is excellent but rooms are not properly ventilated. I could not sleep in the night as I was feeling difficulty in breathing due to poor ventilation. I highlighted this matter with staff available on the reception, they told me that this matter is already highlighted with Hostel management but no actehas been taken so far.

“Shower rooms were not available for my 4 nights trip...”
I had to use showers in other zones. Anyways it was super near to SOHO and Picadilly Circus so I could fully enjoy my London. Thank you. :)

“LGBT+ So Hostel”
The hostel’s location is great, all soho under the feet, a few minutes walk underground, nice building, great breakfast, a very kind, polite staff done my check in and showed my bedroom so thank you.

“Nice place”
The place was okay. Rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and overall it was a good experience. Location is great because it's right next to night life so if you wanna hit a bar, there's no better place to be.

“City Centre Hostel”
Not very cheap but I took 6-ppl dorm (female only), city centre of London with a Metro Tesco just a few steps away, free luggage storage, very large locker that can fit a 26" suitcase beneath the bed, individual usb/socket for each bed space...very safe and kinda home-like...so would highly recommend this. The British Museum is nearby also and can walk to the west end, very convinient

“Location, Location, Location”
Sohostel is a sprawling mess of rooms located in Soho, Central London. The location is superb, only a few minutes walk from multiple underground stations. There's a supermarket across the road, open 8am-11pm! Prices have crept up, and the value proposition is not as good as it once was. Rooms are kept clean, there's lots of showers with hot water and ok pressure and toilets. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cons: When dorm bed rates are 25-30pounds/night you expect perhaps a little more than a thin piece of foam through which you can feel the metal bunk. Power points at each bed, but no shelf to rest your phone for charging. The breakfast is convenient but expensive - basically just cereal, toast, tea/coffee and yoghourt for 6 pounds. With a captive audience and bulk buying surely they can offer better - a range of fruits, real bread rather than the current cheap sliced offering A school group was staying, 15 year olds, v noisy all night and at breakfast. No attempt made to control.

“非常に満足”
Location is excellent — a 15-minute walk to Trafalgar Square. SoHo is a vibrant neighborhood. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to friends. Met some other travelers at the living room, but meeting people here is hit and miss — there are a lot of groups. And this is one of my cons: there are too many groups of very young people who scream, listen to the music, and make phone calls on a loudspeaker in the rooms both late in the night or early in the morning. Another cons is the fact staff couldn't manage my request to change room. I was told the hostel was 100% full for my entire stay, but one of the beds in my room was empty the whole time. Staff is friendly and invited me to play some board games. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay, the location is superb, but there's a younger crowd in groups staying at this hostel which is not the best for a solo traveler.

“Great location, great hostel!”
My 18 years old daughter stayed 10 days in the hostel and had the most great experience! Location couldn't be better. She walked everywhere. The staff was really nice and food was delicious! There was only a bad smell in the bedroom but they solved the problem by opening the window a bit. They had a karaoke night where she mingled and made new friends... and she is a shy person!! She really loved it and recommends it to everyone!!

“Toilet and bathroom are a bit dirty”
Ventilation in room is bad, big bad smell because my roommate put the sock on the heater ....

“Perfect choice in london! ”
The location is perfect - esp if you want to watch west end shows at night! Near Oxford Circus and it is convenient to go out whenever you want! Staff are super friendly and they are always willing to offer help. There is also free luggage storage service before check in and check out which helped me a lot ! The price really worth and will definitely choose this hostel if I travel to London again!
