Refused to allocate the room booked though it was empty... it was fully paid in advance as we were (family) traveling with our friends (family) visiting from Republic of Ireland... it was totally unexpected and unacceptable as we had confirmed our booking schedule two days before and before our travelling day
Lovely building and room, but missing a trick with grotty old furniture and broken fixtures. You pay for what you get, so don’t expect your room to look like the one in the photo! The paintwork was fresh, but the carpet stained, drawers broken, furniture chipped. However the bed was comfy, and for 4 of us it was a great price and close to Archway tube station, only 15mins from Leicester Square.
So noisy - my wife couldn't sleep. People banging around all night, the thinnest walls known to man.
There is air conditioning but not working cool mood for all rooms, when I asked to fix it they said our engineer in vacation we cannot do anything right now. WIFI is very poor.
I booked here and when I was in the cab on the way, I received an email that due to “maintenance issues” we were being rerouted to a sister property. The sister property was horrible! It was tiny and filthy with no air conditioning. The street noise was so loud sleep was impossible. Waited to speak to manager after she came in and front desk clerk pretended she want there. Finally she said she would refund the difference in price, which remains to be seen. We ended up at SO Paddington. Location was good but again, room was awful. Carpet was filthy. Barely room enough to open our suitcases. Shower wouldn’t stay on and was so small you couldn’t raise your arms. Apparently from looking at other reviews, this bait and switch is quite common become they overbook their rooms then claim to have maintence issues. Stay away from these properties!!!!
I find this hotel very overpriced, as during my stance (four nights in the hotel, at a cost of GBP 95 per night) they never cleaned neither the room nor the bathroom, not even made the bed. I asked the staff and they said that it is their policy to clean the rooms every three days (never heard of something like that in a hotel), but it was not my case anyway, as I stayed four nights and my room was not cleaned once. Also the AC remote control was broken, so it was quite complex to turn it on/off. On the bright side, the staff was very helpful and charming (Lee was great) and the room was nice (a comfortable mattress and very nice bathroom) In a nutshell, I found this hotel overpriced and I would not recommend it unless you need to stay near Archway.
No hot water ruined our entire stay couldn’t get ready to go out absolutely devestated our anniversary weekend away
They never told us that there was a heater in the bathroom until the day we checked out. Had to complain several times about the room heating too. No labels for switches and instructions. Terribly administered.
Great location for the event I was participating in, but also directly opposite the high st so a good location for shops. The room was very clean and the space was vast which was good value for money (I had 2 floors together with kitchenette, living space and bedroom) - my only complaint was that it was very cold. Apart from the bathroom which had under floor heating.
The 'hotel' sells itself as a studio-roomed place. Don't bother thinking you can cook here: no cooker, no oven, one fridge, a tiny microwave that didn't work, one knife and a spoon! Paper thin walls and very noisy. Poor service.
I was really pleased with my booking here, I was a bit hesitant at first, as it was my first time using Agoda, and the fact it was next to a church and the pictures looked too good to be true made me have second thoughts. However, it lived up and exceeded expectations, the staff was really nice, and the rooms were extremely well kept with good quality furnishings and interior decor. Would highly recommend.
I booked an executive apartment on a Saturday night. Clean and basic accommodation. Plenty space and good facilities in the apartments. Water was hot, bed was comfortable and the room was a good temperature. The carpets were very stained, as others have commented, but it was clear efforts had been made to remove the stains, unsuccessfully unfortunately. I was disappointed that at 2pm my room wasn't ready for check in, despite checking the check in time, and receiving a confirmation email stating a 2pm check in was fine. We had a wait an hour, which slightly interrupted our plans. This spoilt an otherwise good stay.
Clean spacious room with above average facilities and free parking in a fairly convenient area of London.
Great location. Clean and tidy.
We arrived the hotel at about 9pm and the reception guy behaved like he hated working there and treated us like we were not welcome and a burden to him. Not one word of welcome. That's just the start. The duplex room upstairs had no windows & the air conditioner rumbled like there was a construction site inside the room. Sounded like it had never been serviced for a long time. The worst was there was no hot water in the bathroom for a shower in our second night & despite us requesting the same reception guy the problem he kept saying he informed the maintenance & he was coming to repair but nothing was done the whole night & was still not repaired & no hot water for shower when we checked out. Awful experience !
Hotel was over booked, so after the 6 hour flight and then the 3 hour drive in peak hour traffic, when we arrived they told us, then sent us to their other hotel on the other side of London with no apologies, after another one hour drive we arrived and still no apologies.
Not a four star hotel as described, it was a two star hotel at the most
need more car parking space
I used to live in this neighbourhood hence making me a bit biased and nostalgic. It's close to the archway tube (zone 2), convenient bus routes into the city and beyond, supermarkets and off lisences nearby, eateries etc... The room we got was a duplex with a double bed upstairs overlooking the common room with another bed and the kitchenette. It was catered to those with disabilities hence the massive bathroom. Unfortunately after showering, the whole bathroom floor would be soaked. Beds were comfy and there were power sockets galore. Would definitely come back to stay here when we're back in London.
Really enjoyable
It would be ideal for the place to fix some shower screen so that the bathroom and toilet will not be wet all over on the floor, and they should also provide at least 2 chairs and a table in the duplex unit.
Looks the same as the picture. Well impressed.
All in all a nice comfortable stay. shame about the result !!!
Hotel clearly run on very tight margins. Our room was cold and the window broken. When we told the staff we found that it had been 'fixed' by jamming it shut with the net curtain.
I arrived late to a warm and helpful welcome. The accommodation in the garden suite was more spacious than I expected, and would have been a good family base. The building, next to the Church had an old character I didn't expect and was pleasantly surprised. I'd return again.
Great stay. Would stay again.
Stayed for 4 nights in their duplex room, total 4 adults and 1 infant. The double floor made it a cool room, with a master bed upstairs. Rooms were spanking new and clean. Felt extremely comfortable. Location was alright, about 8 mins walk to the nearest underground (Archway). It was located directly next to an old church in a quiet and charming neighbourhood. Had free private parking too.
Location is quite convenience, walking distance to subway and have a few supermarkets around. Room in clean and newly renovated, but rather small. Bed is comfortable and facilities is very simple but at least have a microwave. No restaurant in the complex, but you can find places to eat around easily. Had free outdoor parking.
We are having trouble finding the location because we are not local and the information on the internet is quite misleading. When we reached king's cross station we were asking around for the hotel location and no one have a clue, so we decided to take a cab. The taxi driver was quite friendly and told us it is nowhere near king's cross or convenient for a night out in the city and he also agreed the information is quite misleading. It was around 20pounds worth of cab ride away from King's cross station But luckily we had an happy accident, the hotel was new/undergoing renovation, we were relocated to south kensington area, which is so much more convenient with no extra charge.
The room is comfortable and I was satisfied with my stay. One thing need to be improved is the house keeping service. We have four people staying for four nights but only two rolls of toilet paper and one tiny bottle of shower gel were provided. Upon request, they provided additional shower gel but only additional half roll of toilet paper is provided.
We were overall happy with our stay. The hotel has been recently renovated and is not completely finished. The rooms are very basic but clean. If you are a fussy hotel guest, I don't recommend you stay here. We were happy to commute into central London and so this suited our needs well. The staff really tried to help with all our requests, though there are definitely a few teething problems. We enjoyed some lovely meals nearby and can especially recommend the Sitara Indian restaurant close by. The location is quiet and the church bells next door are atmospheric.
it was an absolutely lovely stay, clean room, good stores nearby, good location. i loved it, would definitely stay again.
I chose the hotel thinking it was near Kings Cross, in fact it is in Islington which is some distance away. The hotel owners are still in the process of furnishing the hotel rooms. There were no bedside tables, no chair in the room. The room was clean, bed new and comfortable. The staff were friendly and told me that the hotel would have the missing furniture in the next week or so. I had a problem connecting to the internet which was a nuisance as I had work to do which required email access. The hotel is more designed as micro apartments or maisonette, there is a microwave oven and tiny sink which would be suitable for heating a meal and cleaning afterwards. here was a reasonable sized flat screen tv.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The receptionist was lovely and helpful, the room was exceptionally clean. This was a new hotel, so there was still some construction going on around the building, but we didn't mind.
These apartments are brand new. We had a few teething problems but the staff have been outstanding in correcting these. The bed was one if the best I have slept in. The apartment is very good value for money. It is a 2 minute walk to the tube station (northern line). I would recommend staying at these apartments. Great for a shopping and show weekend.

Really nice staff and service. The location is close to the underground.
Todo resultó muy bien. Facil check in y check out.

“Probably the worst place I’ve stayed ”
No heat then given a heater No hot water for my entire stay for 3 days And a bad leak in room over electrics place is dangerous Then told the hotel don’t give out any reduction Shocking I don’t care attitude of staff the place looks tired and was bitten in the room
