Good for overnight only. Staff are very helpful. While close to the airport it is not walking distance to points of interest, eateries etc. Area very difficult to navigate with very poor signage and road markings. Need your wits about you.
II wanted to change my booking over the phone but had to face a stupid automated answer machine that does not have all the options. This led to losing my booking without even going to the hotel as I could not speak to anyone !!
Returned e’mail twice asking for refund as I wasn’t happy to go to an alternative. Hotel. Heard nothing since
great
Stayed one night as we were meeting friends who were flying from Glasgow. Just needed a comfy bed and that's what we got! Room was good size for 3 adults, bathroom was functioning and there was kettle and hairdryer 😃 Ideal for an overnight sleep... wouldn't choose it if I wanted a weekend break or a more indulgent stay...but it was what we needed at a reasonable price!! Check-in and out was simple...staff were friendly....we were happy!!
A very nice hotel with a very clean room. Ideal if you looking for a hotel close to the airport for a short stay. The airport is 15 min walk, so if you don't have big luggage with you then it a very short walk.
Nothing stood out
Hello, We arrived a bit earlier to our room, but the hotel was closed even though it is an airport hotel and has a sign for late or early check-ins. Eventually someone answered and we asked to check-in, but the lady said no. She said they don’t offer early check-ins. They should write that on their website! Because airport hotels usually accommodate travelers with strange check-in times. During my four day stay, not once did I get fresh towels and it seems like no one ever cleans the place. Another issue is, no one is ever at the front desk. So you can never ask questions or for towels. They only nice thing was the location, it was close to the airport and train station. It is one stop away from the central station. The location is also it’s downfall because it is located next to a club or dancehall. You will hear people partying late at night, especially on weekends. Finally, with the heatwave it is important to know that they have no AC! So you will have a toasty room!
There were a lot of 'rules' on signs everywhere which was a bit off putting and then the staff were very laid back, which was a relief. The room was spacious and the sheets and towels were clean. The shower was ok but you had to wait a little while to get completely wet. It wasn't immaculate by any means, but wasn't expensive either. In the front room you could hear everything happening at reception and in the hallway. A bit odd! I liked the place more the longer we stayed. You started to feel more at home.
Handy for town Airport an Glasgow City centre 10 min along motorway
Staff fine quiet but issues at last stay not injoyuable due to the shower and TV couuld not use I would expect a free stay or discount if I stay again at scottie hotel
Lovely building and friendly and useful night manager. Situated in the middle of an industrial estate (although I’m sure it’s location in 1824 was beautiful).
Traveling all the time, it isn't that often that I find such a nice place to overnight. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, was able to rest very well. Was treated with such friendly & professional manner by the staff, I was very impressed. Highly recommend the Scotia Airport Hotel.
As somewhere that markets itself as an "airport hotel", you'd imagine it gets its share of foreign guests as well as arrivals at unsociable times. As such, the lack of a 24-hour check-in or staff presence might be a problem. If you arrive outside of the prescribed time, or if the staff are not present, there is a mobile phone number to call. That was fine for me, and likely would be for any other British guest, but it shouldn't be assumed that a foreigner would have a UK mobile sim to hand. If they don't, they will have a problem. Otherwise, the hotel is good value for its standard. I wasn't there for the airport, rather for Paisley town centre, so its location is fine for that. Room compact but clean and comfortable. Strong wifi, weak shower.
I chose the Scotia for an overnight stay because of its location and room rate. The location in relation to the airport and train stations is perfect and the hotel is clean and neat, offering a basic room, and wifi. My only complaint about the hotel is the lack of staff, especially after 2:00 p.m. or 1400. I wasn't made aware of this prior to arriving and was told that I hadn't included my phone number or email when I made my reservation or I would have received instructions on how to check in. When I made my reservation Having provided both those things, I'm not sure where the mix up occured. My flight was delayed and by the time I made it to the hotel, it was after 9 p.m. When no one responded to my ringing a bell on the desk, I decided to call the number on a note that said to call if there was a problem. I called, had to ask if I had reached someone connected to the hotel, was told someone would be there in about five minutes to check me in- not very welcoming.
An excellent hotel within easy reach of airport and city. Clean, tidy and very pleasant with very good staff. Would recommend very highly for value and quality.
I have been working a lot recently so decided not book a room with breakfast so my wife and I could get a lie in and upon checking in the person at reception called me a cheapskate for not booking breakfast with them, the beds are terrible , one night I slept on the floor my back was hurting so much, they don’t have a bar or ice machine and don’t do lunches or dinner, the staff were very nice and helpful though. But you can’t call this place a hotel .
The place was super cute, close to the airport, I loved all the tartan curtains and pillows, very cultural. Loved it!
Quiet location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable beds and a good breakfast. Would be happy to stay there again.
My wife and I were returning from a longhaul flight and was not allowed check in an hour before when we informed that my wife suffers from a swollen ankle . The guy who is. apparently a builder who was manning the reception with no other staff requested ten pounds for early entry or comeback after an hour . They even did not have a lounge or rest room to sit and relax. I dont mean to say the staff was rude but he was helpless with no sense of courtesy or hospitality. No restaurant here and the nearest eatery was about half a mile away. Breakfast here was very very basic and the same guy manning the reception runs around attending to everything. He said that he was filling in for someone who was away on holiday. Please avoid this place .
The room was dirty. Smashed bugs on the bed sheets. The bathrooms appeared to be recently remodeled, yet the shower did not drain and you have to stand in water. The staff acted weird. Not necessarily unfriendly, but something was off about them. The place was cheap, but looked nothing like the pictures in the ad. I'd say find somewhere else if you can.
Within walking distance to downtown Paisley. Lots of restaurants within 10minute walk. Short taxi ride to airport.
I booked this hotel ages before going overseas and just as i went to check in i thought i better read some more reviews. I started to panic as i read many people were getting charged twice and not getting the money back. I prepaid with agoda, once i arrived the staff were friendly and very helpful, they did ask for me to pay but i just made sure i had my agoda receipt with me and it was all okay. We got the front room, its very spacious and clean. heating wasn't the best and when you open the curtain anyone pulling in the car park (free parking) could see you. You would need a car as there wasn't anything in walking distance. Its perfect for an early flight to the airport. The staff pre ordered a taxi for us also.
If you are coming from the airport at night time, I would suggest taking the bus or a taxi, since it can be a bit hard to orient yourself and find the hotel. The hotel feels like a B&B, it has large, pretty rooms with large windows. We loved that its a bit away from the airport and you can walk 10-15 minutes towards Paisley where there are great restaurants/pubs. The room and bed were comfortable. The bed comforter is a bit on the small side (for 2 people), so if you are two people, maybe ask for a second one. Nice clean bathroom, linens and towels. Simply, but good breakfast. I would stay here again anytime. Excellent value for the price.
Wifi is very good, and good breakfast
My GPS found it difficult to locate. Go on mainish road towards Paisley railway station and turn left at Bank of Scotland where bold sign says Moncrief St only later does it say: New Sneddon St lower down in small writing. Old building done up; close to railway to Glasgow (10 min. walk). Room fine and adequate; about 10 mins drive to airport and car rental return. Wanted to leave early and lady promised to be up well before (" usually up by 5.30" )to give us breakfast but did not show. We waited until 6.20 then had to leave. Could have given us cereal, milk and bread the night before when we came in and saw her at 7.30pm to prepare in our room but did not. Hope you liked the Devon Strawberry Jam (brand new) and the Lemon Butter we left you. Would stay again but would prefer to have breakfast.
Great for a stop of one night before heading to the airport. The rooms are very comfortable and the internet is also good. Bad thing there is no restaurant or bar at the hotel and u definetly need a car to get some food.
Wifi is very slow. Sometimes cannot find signal. Breakfast is not much variety.
I was very comfortable here with a clean and well presented room, friendly and helpful staff and good location.
very kind with the reception. and very good in breakfast
The staff performance is good but the rooms are not so comfortable. The bed is very very small. Also during night time the projector light at outside projected a bright light into the rooms. This make the room are still bright at night time. The wifi signal is relatively weak in the room.

Following a week touring Scotland the Scotia Hotel met our needs for a place to refresh and regroup prior to our trip back to the US. We checked in then walked less than ten minutes to catch the train to center city Glasgow. Once there we enjoyed getting to spend some time in a vibrant city. We ended our stay in Scotland with a tour of Tennent's brewery and a meal at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Very good, highly recommended. If you are elderly there is no lift and the breakfast is served downstairs, but having said that I bet the staff would bring the breakfast to your room. The staff make this place great, the rooms are spotless.
A éviter
Mauvaise organisation?
“Location good for people who is catching next morning flight.”
