“One of the best in Deira Area”

Considering the neighbourhood and the Price: it is a perfect fusion. Rooms are clean. Bathroom is soacious and clean. Few channels coming on TV. Good place for budgeted travellers and yes it is near to metro and restaurants. Good Stay as a whole.

Hmmmmm. I would recommend for others with a young family to look for somewhere else. The rooms and the whole building smells like cigarettes. The first room they gave us the air-conditioner wasn't functioning. The technician told me that it was getting colder, but I'm not that stupid. I insisted they change our room because we were tired, just got off the plane, and we wanted to rest asap... The 2nd room was a bit better and bigger and was their suite. Upgrade at no charge. The room was cold and the air-con was working well. The bathroom was nicer too. Location was okay because it was surrounded by malls so if you were hungry, you'd have a place to eat fast... All-in-all it was almost ok...

“Good Hotel in a prime location with a very spacious room”

The Hotel was really good. I enjoyed my stay. I will highlight the + and - points: + Location is prime. Metro is like 2 mins walk. Bus stop and taxi stop in front of the Hotel. Economical restaurants, pharmacy, grocery stores and shopping centers just below the Hotel. Room was very spacious. The bed was comfy, the couch was comfy, a large study table and an LED. WIFI - The Hotel has like three to four different Bars. I was in the fifth floor and still was able to hear the Bass so I guess the people on the lower floors will have to bear a little more sound (May Be). It would be better if they try to keep the volume completely away from the rooms. I am not saying it was very noisy, it was totally ignore-able but I am just wondering that may be the people on the lower flour might have some inconvenience. The room had no microwave and Tea Kettle which I think is a necessary stuff, at least an electric tea kettle to boil some water. Also no slippers, tooth brush and tooth paste.

“Awesome location & Near to metro station but not suitable for families ”

Hotel is located in Deira , close to all attractions, walkable distance to metro , hassle free access to cabs . All major tourist destinations are just 4 to 5 KMS distance . For other locations can use metro . Hotel has four or five night clubs , lot of other ---- activities i guess so i felt its unsafe for ladies and families. Night clubs run till 3 or 4 am with loud music. Luckily we got rokm in fourth

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to any one. It was so dirty , the lifts were always broken and they were closing all the fire exits and stairs at night. Very noisy hotel. I will never visit this hotel again.

“Only one positive thing - Metro Station ”

Are you looking forward to book city star hotel? Think twice because you will be living in a room with dirty and very awful rugs and don't forget to bring your kettle like us because they don't provide any facilities. If you are planning to relax then simply forget about it if you are in city star hotel because they have got 4 night clubs which are working from 9 Pm to 3 am with heavy bass. You won't be able to sleep. If you think you will call reception to reduce the volume, forget it because it simply doesn't work they don't do anything at all regarding this matter. And I found the world's most irritating Internet in this hotel because it keeps disconnecting all the time and you need to call reception three times in a day to keep your Internet running. Ah yes there is a disco type router in the room which will irritate your eyes like hell when you turn off the lights -Ah sorry they don't have proper lights just three lamps in the room. In the non smoking room you will always have smell of smoking so you need to keep the exhaust fan running 24h and it's noisy like an engine and AC is also very noisy. I would recommend this hotel just for one or maximum two nights stay.

Kind of hotel, not good enough to stay, until its in v good price Internet is free but gets expired too often and doesn't work on mobile if its on standby....so it has to get logged in again n again Daily cleaning is only change of towels or utensils....nothing else Rooms r too short, so as bath rooms Staff is ok, on reception, but a few times they chased me, either m really staying in hotel or m a stranger.......its bit embarrassing Bottled water is only free on arrival, nothing later..... Location is fine, its near fish round about, so metro is just nearby

The location is nice, near to shopping center and 10 mins away only to airport. But it was noisy coz of the bar, you can hear the sound til 3am. No kettle, coffee or tea.

It smells like cigarettes as soon as you enter the lobby, workers are not nice, when we checked in, there was still stuff from the last guest in the small fridge, towels were old, and smoked weird in the hotel, there are 2 clubs there, one indian and one iranian(at the time we were there) so it was kinda noisy at nights Not recommending it to anyone

“The worst hotel I've ever experienced ”

2 bottle of water for 4 days staying in hotel, no free wifi, payable but very expensive. Room still dirty after cleaning. Funiture was old, self serving tea, coffee is not available. No towels in the last day staying in the hotel. Room was smoking smell a though we was not smoking. Dust bin was still full after room was making up. The only thing was not bad that the location is near metro station, and bus stop. It is convinient to buy something, because many shop is around. Never come back

“The affordable Dubai hotel”

One night stay is sufficient if guests do not want to pay for mineral water on the second day onwards. The room has sofa, bed and additional table. The toilet is equipped with water heater, bathtub, soap, shampoo and hair dryer. Bring toothbrush and toothpaste. Breakfast is a nutritious and delicious variety. By surprise the hotel restaurant celebrated a guest's birthday and shared the cake with other guests including me. Guests can order outside fastfood from their rooms through the hotel. Overall service is better than Ibis Deira City Centre Hotel, Dubai.

“Very rude staff”

Very bad experience!! -Extremely rude reception staff. She is very unwelcoming & unfriendly & doesn't smile at all. She even raise her voice at the guest. No customer service at all. Very hostile body language. -There are about 4 or 5 nightclubs in the hotel itself with a lot of "activities" going on. Very loud music. -No WIFI in the room(payable) -No hot water flask in room. According to reception staff hot water is chargeable. -Came back to room after it was cleaned and blanket had a weird body odour to it! Bellboys were very helpful to find us ladies taxi whenever we want to go out. Housekeeping was efficient after we complained about dust and dirty blankets. Only good thing is the proximity to metro and many convenience stores nearby.

it was very bad experience to stay in city star hotel, during my stay I made another hotel booking outside I spend stay 2 tonight. first time in my life attitude of reception staff very bad. before I made booking already I mention that guest stay with me. reception staff and others they allow for guest only those who pay money under table they allow for everything and arrange. specially they are giving preference to arab national to get good tips, those who not pay anything they show us rules for Dubai. Note: they not give good response those who people booking throw agoda, reception staff informed us your booking price is so less compare to our cash customer, if you any complain contact to agoda.

Overall okay. Staff need to be trained to open the barrier gate for the basement car park on time without making the customer get down the vehicle and walk to hotel lobby and seek staff's assistance to get the gate opened, everytime the customer drives in & out of hotel. More milk is certainly required in Tea with Milk (AED 7.00) to have a lovely cup of milk tea. Complimentary 2 water bottles are small. Please replace them with 2 large water bottles. We would like to see variety of food in Breakfast buffet. We usually stay at City Star hotel whenever we get a holiday. Most of the time, the breakfast buffet has the same type of food. Please make it with different types of food items. The basement car park door to hotel is locked & closed by 09.30pm. According to hotel staff, it's due to security reasons, which is good & appreciated, but the issue is after the hotel staff opens the barrier gate to basement car park they never informs the relevant staff to come down & open the locked basement car park door to hotel for the just arrived customer at the car park. Everytime we, the customer has to call the front desk and ask to send someone down to get the locked hotel door open from the basement car park if we arrive at the car park after 09.30pm. Why cannot the staff opens the barrier gate informs it to the relevant staff member? The staff opens the barrier gate even checks for guest's room key if it's available with the customer to see if it's the genuine customer enters the car park after 09.30pm, which if alright, but why does he keeps the same genuine customer waiting in the car park at night without opening the locked door to hotel from the basement, until customer calls the front desk? CUSTOMER SERVICE aspect really needs to be improved in some staff members. We look forward to have a more pleasant stay with better customer service when we arrive at City Star hotel the next time. The hotel is very close to station and mall. The room was good size and clean. We liked the hotel but ask for room on the 7th floor other way it may be too noisy from the clubs.
