Eco Valley Lodge is a lovely place to stay. A bit off the main road, but still in close proximity to quite a number of the places of interest in Khao Yai. Staff is very friendly and food was delicious. The only unfortunate for us was that the entrance to Khao Yai Natural Park close to the resort was not open during our stay, but this should be a temporary issue.
The lodge has nice and cosy huts. The restaurant serves good food (breakfast and diner). The location is a bit isolated, you'll need transport to reach the NP and the city of Pak Chong. The lodge offers tours and you can rent a bike. Make sure you ask for James's surprise tour!
Thank you for the endorsement, Arnaud. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It was great to meet you and spend some time together.
Environment is great, staff is friendly but line coverage is very poor except dining area. The unit floor is a bit dusty and the light is very limited in the unit, it can be improved by adding some table lamp or light in the unit. The way to our unit is full of greenery path, but not easy for roller luggage to move. We have to carry the luggage instead of pulling. Breakfast is nice. Overall is acceptable.
Thank you for your review. Such comments help us improve. And thanks for staying with us!
Nice and quiet, with views towards the forested hills whilst having (an excellent) breakfast.
Thanks, Oliver! Hope you enjoyed the jungle adventure. You are always welcome back.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. I was able to get vegetarian food that was not on the menu. We also got good advice about places to visit. It's a good place to chill out. Great value.
Thanks, Karen! It was a pleasure to meet you two. You know you are always welcome back any old time. Thanks for the boost.
The manager was great, as our arrival was really late like 1am, he and his staff was there to wait for us and be sure the rooms assigned to us was totally fine, we requested to change a room as the room was quite far away from us. He changed for us immediately. Just sad that we did not have a chance to have our dinner there. Cosy place, great for families bonding at the cafe.
Thanks, Khor. Your words are really very encouraging. Thanks for choosing us.
Lovely laid back resort in beautiful natural surroundings. The rooms are simple but comfortable, private and a good size. James and his team gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful in arranging a child friendly tour to visit a nearby maze and cave. The kids loved roaming around the garden and had a great time with Jack, the resident dog. We enjoyed being able to sit outside our room with views over the pool and gardens with the mountain scenery in the background. The on-site restaurant provided delicious Thai food and drinks at reasonable prices. Only 2 hours from Bangkok, Eco Valley Lodge feels a world away. Highly recommended for a great value, friendly, relaxing escape, we’ll be back.
Thank you, Megan! Your supportive words are very encouraging. Your family were great guests. We look forward to a return visit.
Very peaceful location. Very helpful manager ( James. Who is Canadain and lived in Thailand many years so has good local knowledge) . Great communication and help with our stay Although we didn’t eat at ECo valley we had good wine. Hope to be back and see the local White squirrels
Thank you for the supportive review, Monica. It was a pleasure to meet you. And to think you didn't even sample our best wines! Hee hee. Thanks again. Best wishes for safe travels back home. Would love to see you again.
This is a budget place with basic facilities. Location is not far for the most of the places, many popular places are within 20-30min drive which is normal for khao yai. Recommended to have your own car (for khao yai in general, as everything is spread out). Staff was very friendly. James, hotel manager, was very helpful, he suggest us for places to visit and hidden gems on khai yai. rooms were clean. there were some mosquitoes so have to put coil in our room.
Thanks for the detailed and honest comments! It was a pleasure to meet you and your young family, Saurabh. Thanks for choosing to stay with us and sharing your impression. Cheers!
Cozy flair, good breakfast, very helpful staff, amazing management.
Thanks, Markus. Hope to see you again before too long!
This resort is still enjoying quiet location. Very relaxing and comfortable stay. Thank you, will come again
Thanks Krys! It was great to meet you and Goi. You know you are always welcome. Thanks again, for the endorsement.
We stayed for just 1 night, but would have liked to have stayed longer. It was peaceful and Steve the Manager was very personable. We were expecting a bit more of an eco feel though. Plastic shower gel and shampoo bottles !
Thanks for the review, Stuart. Your comment regarding plastic dispensers is noted. Cheers!
This is a really nice resort for a couple of nights in Khao Yai. The staff and management are really friendly. The rooms are very basic and so is the breakfast. However the nice pool and quiet, lush green garden makes up for it.
Thanks for the review, Pascal. We are grateful.
Fantastic stay, out of the beaten track but close enough to many attractions. The manager, James, and the staff were out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The food on the menu was simple and delicious, breakfast was plentiful, and freshly cooked. Very relaxing atmosphere, highly recommend.
Thank you, David. Your kind words are an encouragement.
The apartment we stayed in was a bit inconvenient with a steep staircase. 2 bedrooms on the upper floor. Food was good.
Thanks, Jennie. Hope to see you again!
If any trouble ask for James the manager everything GREAT in the lodge. Good breakfast and coffee in mornings all can eat
We stay only one night, but staff are very friendly and take care good. would like to come back again
Great for private / need the place far from crowd
A little loud as group was up late in restaurant (seemed to be owner and friends), but clean rooms and nice garden setting. About 45 minutes to park, and off the main road quite a ways. Value about 2.5 stars.
The room is suitable for a solo traveller and a couple traveller. I have no complaints really. I love everything about it! Especially the shower head - bliss :)
No Wi-Fi in the room
I met the owner of Eco Valley on a golf course last year. He invited us to come and stay. We have been back four more times since then. We enjoy the quiet atmosphere away from the main roads. We like the clean facilities, with good free WiFi, good food, good wine and bar, friendly staff.
Expensive and disappointing. Miles from Khao Yai. Trips also over-priced. They should make a living and not a killing. Stay elsewhere, please!
5 Families 5 units private pool usage & BBQ in the night...... My 3rd return.....

We all enjoyed our stay at this lovely, friendly resort in a beautiful location in Khao Yai National Park. Our Bungalow was nice, clean and overlooked the pretty, well maintained garden and pool. The room was a little small, and it would be nice to have a fridge for cold drinks, but the beds were very comfortable and the view outside was lovely. The Restaraunt served delicious Western and Thai food at reasonable prices and their is a good selection of beverages on the menu. Breakfast was very good and there was a good selection of Western style food, and some Thai dishes as well. Excellent fresh tea, coffee, juices and milk as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and the customer Hostess, Meaw speaks good English and is very attentive and helpful. Our daughter enjoyed her company tremendously! We enjoyed our stay very much and plan a return trip soon with some friends.
nice stay, a relaxing place...
It was very comfortable and cozy as always.
The staff was great..staff was very friendly and the meals very good....rooms very clean..I will stay again for sure...
Enjoyed three relaxing nights at the lodge. Most tourist attractions were a short drive from the lodge. We had the place to ourselves for the three days so had sole use of pool, breakfast etc.. and it was very peaceful sitting by the pool in the eves. I would say the biggest downside was that the rooms had no fridge, the drinks were quite expensive there and there was a charge if you brought drinks in from outside the hotel. It was quiet difficult to find at first but then was easy once you knew that way. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Okay! So Naturall and very quiet, greeny garden, clean room and restauran But too samll room and no have freezer and hot pot, hair dryer. If you have long hair that you need to a dryer. Anyway, my young kids enjoyed at the hotel and with dog.
Great accommodation for family. Worth the money, but a little too far from the main road. Good service.
This hotel is not worth the price. You can get a better deal elsewhere. It's also a bit out of the way and far from Khao Yai. The one saving grace was the breakfast, which was decent. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Why 2 bedrooms have 1 restroom?
Eco valley is a nice place if you want to get out of the noisy and busy city lives. I had a hard time locating it, it's best if you drive cos the place is a distance away from the main road. Eco valley is cool and it's quiet at night, its really a comfortable get away from the city and indulge yourself in nature.
I stayed in the 2 bedroom villa. The 2 rooms is superb for my parents and 2 kids. However the Wifi is weak only able to connect when we are at the garden. The kitchen is splendid but would be better with microwave. The weather was chillin as its recorded about 15C and the pool is well maintain. Love to be back .
Very nice. The staffs were nice as always.
We decided to have company outing at Khao Yai quite late so there was no choice for group booking and this hotel was the best choice at that time. Anyway, this was a second time I stayed. They already renovated some rooms so the room I stayed was quite new. We also could have a small party by the pool at night. Hotel's breakfast was not bad, although only a few choice. Location is a bit difficult to find, it is far from main road.

Far from main road
I have stayed at the Eco valley lodge on five different occasions now. We always enjoy our stay as the staff are helpful, the rooms are good value, the food is good and it is close to lots of things to do.
relaxing place to unwind with lovely pool and restaurant. Loved the staff and hotel dog!
Relaxing and good staging point to National forest.
This is the second time we've stayed here. Peaceful location in a comfortable garden, with two pools. Lovely verandah for breakfast and any other time. Wifi is OK on the verandah area, and reachable from some of the bungalows. Nice staff, and enjoyable stay. We will be back again.
We are a mixed couple; Thai and English. Upon arrival, the staff didn't really address my Thai husband, only me in broken English. I thought that a bit peculiar but didn't read too much into it. However, throughout our weekend's stay, we noticed more and more that Eco Valley Lodge much prefers tourists/foreigners than their own kind (Thais). I happen to speak Thai and overheard staff promising a late check-out of 2pm to a foreign couple (the reason being that nobody else (!) would be checking in that day anyway) but 10 minutes later they said, to a Thai couple, that there was no late check-out allowed. That said, the surroundings are stunning. They have a gorgeous garden with a nice (small) pool and loungers. It is wonderfully peaceful and the bungalows are simple, yet comfortable. We haven't had dinner there because we were out most evenings, but breakfast was good; buffet style with bread, fruit, cereal, yogurt, fresh bacon, sausages and ham and coffee/tea/juices. There is wifi internet around the restaurant and pool area, although it is a weak and slow signal. There is one other point I might mention. If you're not a dog lover, perhaps this is not the best place to stay. There is a family that lives at the resort with two bigger dogs, but they are locked in their patio. The owner has a little Jack Russel that follows you around everywhere and does not leave. He's not doing much besides harmlessly sitting next to people (with muddy paws), wanting attention, but I would understand some people didn't like that when they're having breakfast or lounging by the pool or sitting on their front porch of the bungalows.
Eco Valley Lodge had its ups and downs for us during our stay there. The positives were that the layout of the place was fantastic with wooden huts circling a lovely garden complete with swimming pool. We didn't try to pool as it was much too cold to swim while we were there! The staff were also excellent. They worked so hard to try and find a decent motorbike rental place in nearby Pak Chong and even negotiated with the owners for me to use my driver's license instead of my passport for a deposit. They also fixed the broken hot water heater in the room very quickly indeed. Top job, guys! As for the negatives, this mainly boiled down to the food. The buffet breakfast got very repetitive after the third day there. Selection was very limited with only ham, sausages, fried eggs and scrambled eggs to choose from in the hot meal section. There was toast and cereal too but I've been to cheaper hotels in Thailand that had a far wider selection to choose from. The same applied to the New Year's Eve feast that we were forced to pay for. 700 Baht per person is VERY expensive for Thailand so we figured we'd at least get some complementary soft drinks thrown in. That wasn't the case though as beverages were extra. The food selection here was again very limited. I've been to buffets in Bangkok for 400 Baht per person with a MUCH wider choice in food. So yeah, this was a disappointment as well. As you can see, the resort was a mixed bag. If you don't eat there though, and have a car to dine elsewhere, I'd still recommend it!
