“I think it's more of a lodge than a Hotel. ”
The place is well kept, clean and peaceful. Staff friendly and eager to assist. We had a great time, my daughter enjoyed the swimming pool. My only concern was security due to the layout of the rooms. Security doors will put a plus.

“Average”
Prior to check in I called the establishment to ensure that the rooms we booked had 2 sigle beds in them as opposed to double beds. I also advised them that we were a group of vegetarians and since we booked with breakfast, they need to make adequate adjustments to accommodate us. This was done in advance and the lady said notes have been added to the system and the kitchen will be notified as well. Upon arrival, our request for separate beds in the room was not adhered to. We were then told there are no rooms available that could meet our request. After some noise they were able to accommodate us. The rooms, bathroom and beds were clean and bedding laundered as well. In 1 bathroom the extractor didn't work, whilst in the other room the shower spray was more of an open tap however we just ignored the little

Expensive for nothing 👇🏽No Wi-Fi connection tv channels sabc only, food horrible no variety.rooms very small no swimming pool seating area loungers at least. It looks like an unkept hostel

“Could have done better”
The venue lacked maintenance. They were out of stock on quite a few items. Facilities such as the spa were not available. Venue was unclean.

“They could do better with their services and wifi”
We waited for the buffet supper, it was an hour late and the manager did not bother to do any apologies, starch that was served was brown rice and very poor quality pap, steak and chicken hard as rubber and expect you to eat it with a butter knife. The rooms are clean, pretty standard, well maintained property, great location.

Beautiful Place....Food was Delicious & Staff was Friendly & Very Helpful. Had a problem with the aircon as it was leaking, called Reception. Maintenance guy was there in no time & later they came and moved us to another Room. Will definitely go again, one night was not enough to explore our Surroundings... I went on a weekend away with my fiancé and hoping to have an unforgettable stay only to be disappointed. Staff is not friendly. At the reception they gave me key for the room and tell u to go and find that room.Staff don’t care about the visitors.

The Venue hotel and spa is the entry point to Bakwena spa. How lever we had an amazing experience at the spa, it will be very unlikely that we will return, as the accommodation was not worth the money we paid. Our room was not ready upon arrival (Check-in time was 14:00) we only got our key at 15:30. The room was for 2 people, but towels and ammunities were for 1 person. Our bedding wasn't clean and the shower curtain was torn. Reception staff wasn't very accommodating or helpful regarding our spa experience, where we should go or in fact that we would be picked up a specificlocation.

“Noise”
The hotel doesn't have a bar fridge. They stipulated that No Drinks Allowed in the hotel premises BUT people brought their cooler boxes and drank some alcohol near the pool and made noise with portable speakers it was like we were booked in some township.

“Totally the best”
Awesome staff from reception right through to the kitchen. Breakfast was great and so was dinner. Very friendly, even my kiddo was happiest. Very peaceful, beautiful views.

Wifi does not cover all areas , only reception. If you arrive late for breakfast fast or dinner you won't get a complete meals.

“All round bad. Not family friendly at all”
The shower in out room was not working they had a water problem, the wifi and room phone was not working as well. I was allocated a room with two very small single beds with no cot for my 2year old. I had to squeeze myself with my 2year on a single bed ,I had to wash in the basin using kettle boiled water in the morning. The breakfast was not good as well. You cnt eat to your heart's desire. Very limited options ,they prepare limited food and dnt have porridge for small kids. The juice is a concentrated one not 100% juice. You only get cheese if u ask for an omlete. I won't book this place again

“Complain”
1.The towels was not clean. 2.The bathroom is not clean. 3.The bed was not even made up probably. 4. There was two different groups that was partying until 04:00 the next morning. To make noise until 24:00 is still fine but to allow it to go on until 04:00 the next morning is unacceptable!! After you asked nicely they carried on. 5.Breakfast was very nice just to short and didn’t had enough food for all the guest.

Venue lovely but our room was filthy, had a very smelly bathroom, cracked basin very dangerous if pushed on towels disgusting old and looked dirty, can up the cleanliness of the rooms, and need security to control people partying after 12, so other guests can sleep.

“The rooms are super small, Hance the coffee tray with cups were inside the wardrobe, ”
The shower with a plastic curtain took the cup for me....less facilities for kids( no kids pool or games rooms ). Suggestiond for management , please condider more indoor activities incase of rainy weather for your guests. A ramp for Luggage trolley, disabled and elderly citizens can be appreciated. Thank you the cleaning staff who kept our room super clean during our stay. The chef also did a splinded job...big up's to them.

“Spa day with stay over the evening”
Went to the Bwakhena Spar that were excellent and enjoyed that. and a very nice venue. The hotel on the other hand need an upgrade and staff that's controlled better. The noice factor were unpleasant at the bar with guest that were allowed to play load music and shout till around 2 in the morning.

“Best Weekend with my cousins”
This place is well maintained, beautiful and perfectly located. Friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities. They should reinstall the shower doors though in standard rooms. Water flowed to our bedroom but other than that, I had crazy fun! Place is lovely. I’m brinhing my friends and family now that I know about it.

“Not happy ”
The only things good about the place was breakfast. I paid more than what was advertised, my request was not entertained, everytime you need something you need to go to the reception. The room was just empty in comparison to other hotels

“Not Value for Money!”
Spent R3000.00 for two nights with breakfast and there were way more negatives than positives. 1. Shower is small and didn't have a door. The whole bathroom was flooding from showering. We could not be moved to a different room and a maintenance person kept coming...I'm sure he's still coming! 2. TV had SABC 2 playing only and some weird music channel 3. Tea/Coffee station is the clothes closet 4. No charging points alongside headboard. 5. No fridge or microwave 6. Hot tub was covered, not for use. 7. Breakfast was nothing close to peaceful, it was so loud and we ordered French coasts which we got but we had to wait whilst eggs and omelets orders for people behind us were prioritized. Definitely not worth the money I spent!

My husband and I booked our anniversary celebration at the Venue Lodge and it was so disappointing. The only reason we booked the hotel is we had a night spa at Bakwena Spa. The room was a decent size with a nice big bed, although the mattress was very uneven. There is no safe in the room so I had to carry my valuables with me everywhere I went. The bathroom was horrific! It is so small, if you are a bigger person, you will feel absolutely claustophobic. The toilets were stained so bad and the bathroom had lots of black grime on the walls - that was a turn off! The shower floor was one of those plastic square moulds which was so uneven, someone can really misbalance and fall! The shower heads are ancient! The bath accessories are so small, it will not be enough for one person. There was only one bath towel, when we asked for another, the lady was insisting there were two as she checked all rooms 😖 almost suggesting we lying 😡 The towel that they gave was so stained, that was an even further turn off! Wifi does not work in the rooms, only around reception area so what is the use of having wifi! The hotel surrounding is beautiful with nice views but the place does not look well maintained. The pool was not cleaned or prepared for guests to use. It looked like there was a party before we got there so there were still deflated or burst balloon debris on the grounds. What is concerning is that it is a family resort but people are allowed to drink alcohol in the open park, next day there were beer bottles around the park area and entertainment area (billiards and darts room). The nights are filled with loud music around the entertainment area, there are also rooms next to it so if you booked a room in that area, you will have to wait for quiet when the party is over! The food is very basic, does not cater much for other options which does not include beef or pork. We only had a chicken schnitzel option that too with bacon which we had to make a special request to remove. No salads or other startches except chips. Breakfast was nice but limited options too. The service, it seems it depends on who you are. Staff are not very attentative or friendly. The gentleman and breakfast staff, they get my kudos as they friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome 👏👏 My opinion, the rate paid for dinner, bed and breakfast with that kind of value and service is too high. Sadly, I will definitely not be returning!

“Best stay”
The best hotel with excellent service from the staff,they are very friendly and helpful,great food and clean rooms,comfortable beds,everything about them is the best.
