“I paid money but I can’t sleep in the hotel ”
I alive at the hotel. I waited for hotelier check in but nobody. I called them 3 times with the number that them gave also nobody answered the phone. I wanted 30 minutes and I have to leave and find new hotel to sleep.......very bed for me I paid money but I cannot check in to sleep... so very too bad

“Worst!!!!!”
Air condition is not working. Very hot inside the room, even electric fan is not working! In short, facilities inside this hotel were not well maintained. No maintenance!! The room actually are not as described! Wash room and comfort room were not that clean. Bad smell! Really disappointed with our stay here.!

“This place is a mess! ”
Frequent power interruption and cannot contact the number indicated at the reception area. It was stated to contact 8663854 but no one is answering. Then I contact the number 83855079 posted on the door for check-in to assist us on power interruption and the guy saying it is a wrong number. Good thing I saw the safety box and try to play with the switch. Lucky enough I was able to get back the power or else we will die in heat and darkness inside the room. I was waiting for the receptionist but until we checked out at 9 am - Feb 13, no one showed up. P.S. On our 5 days stay, power interruption happened 3 times. 1st is on Sunday, 7 am; 2nd is on Tue, 8 pm; 3rd is on Wed, 1 am.

The price is very cheap so the facilities are not good. Washrooms need to be cleaned more often as it’s smelly.

“Budget stay for family”
The hostel is at good location, walking distance to MRT and eateries, central location to various interesting place. The family room is located downstairs which is convenience for family with kids. The room was clean, however air-conditioning not cold and will need service to improve the ventilation in the room.

“Understaff and No Security ”
When we arrive, we waited outside as the door was locked and there was no staff or receptionist inside. Luckily, a tenant came to our aid and called the number they put on their door advising them that there are people waiting at the lobby to check in. Fee minutes more, the receptionist arrived and showed us our room. It was an 8 dormitory room and not the triple room we originally booked. A group of Filipino traveller stayed in the same room with us and advise us to be careful and bring our important things. Yjey shared about their stole chocolates for "pasalubong" the day before. They reported it the management but got no response at all. They noticed also that staff members of the hotel comes and go everynight. Getting inside the room and sleeping on empty beds. The room is not clean, bedsheets not clean too. A couple from sweden checked in together with us and shared the same scenario about booking a room privately by indeed up staying in a dormitory. Very bad experience with this hostel. Will not go back on my next travel to SG.

“Nice location”
I don't know how to feel about this hostel. When we arrived, we almost get mixed dorm but we actually booked for 6 bed female only dorm. In the end, we were given the 8 bed female only dorm which is much better than mixed dorm. My first night there, the hostel blacked out more than 10 times.... We didn't know what to do. There were no staff after 12am... I seriously can't brain this. However, they're always can be contacted. I kinda understand the hectic situation bcos I went there for BTS concert and the hostel was overbooked. The room is kinda dusty because I believe the staffs only change the bedsheet when the guests check out but they didn't even sweep the trash under the bed. The good sides of this hostel are the staffs are kinda friendly, good location as it's very near to Boon Keng MRT. What I can conclude, you get what you pay :)

“Needs overhaul”
The room we stayed at had a really pungent smell for the whole duration of our stay and so our clothes had the same smell which made us uncomfortable. They had a common bathroom for all of their guests on each floor which made it difficult for us since we have small children. Their guests in another room decided to hog the bathroom so we weren’t able to use it for hours and ended up not showering ‘til we came back to Malaysia. The pictures shown here are different from when you arrive as the place has probably seen it’s heyday and now needs to be overhauled.

“Great value for money.”
Singapore is quite expensive but Drop Inn offers great prices. The staff is amazing. Highly recommended!

“Feel so Hommy.. !!”
I love its Dining Room, I love to have my Dinner there, together with my family , meet some new friends there, talk about something interesting , The minus thing that my room is for 4 person , consist of 1 large / queen bed & 2 dormitory bed. The Mattress of queen bed is not spring bed, but like foam mattress, not so comfort to sleep there... . The Place about 300m from MRT Boon Keng, exit C.

“BAD SERVICE AND SPOILED FACILITIES”

“Not suitable for family”
We booked a family room of 4 persons. When we first open the door, there is a male inside the room. We suspect he is smoking inside when the rule stated not allow to smoke. End up the room full of cigarettes smell. Room very dusty. We keep sneezing if we move the mattress slightly harder. Pillow cover and mattress condition very black as never properly washed and disinfect. Fan broken. Location quite good as near to Bendemeer MRT. Overall not a good option for family.

“Good value for money”
We had a short trouble checking-in because they were having their lunch but we had to do a self-check-in. The room is exactly what the picture looks like. Although, they made us move to another room that doesn't look like the room I had reserved :( ... The beds are comfortable and the bathroom had a heater for water :) The staff is nice and the place is not noisy. The Train stations are a few minutes walk away and you can buy food around the block. I will recommend them to friends.

“Bad experience”
WC and bathroom is so dirty, broken and smelling. There's no amenity inside. Although the host and receptionist is friendly, we can not stand those days we live here. There was one night that the electrics turned off but no one was there. We had to sleep without conditioner and my parent's health went bad. I don't want to come back anymore!

“Cleanliness of hostel need to improve ”
Location is good, near MRT station, 10mins walking distance. No car park. Hostel room is very dusty. Bedsheet is not clean, cause body itchiness. request staff to change bedsheet. They change new bedsheet but still the same. Floor is not clean. Toilet is terrible. Very smelly.

“You pay for what you get”
It is a basic hostel. The building is run down and the bathrooms look like they need a deep clean. When I booked my bed, I specified a gender-specific room but when I arrived, I was given a mixed dorm. Apparently a group took one entire room. The staff was apologetic but there was nothing he could do to correct the situation. 3-5 mins walk to either a bus or MRT station. Hostel front door is along a very busy street.

“Pay for what you get”
I had to stop in Singapore unexpectedly and didn't have alot of cash so I booked this hostel. The room was fine. It's not the Hilton but you pay for what you get. I would stay here again if i went to singapore and didn't have much money.

“The most amazing pay it forward!”
I booked Drop Inn 1 day before arrival and instead of 27th July, I didn't realize it was booked for 27th August! So happen on that weekend in July some major Emglish football teams were playing in SG and all hostels/hotels were fully booked. I had no where to go and late for my friends wedding. The hosts were so gracious to allow me to use their facilities to wash off my travel sweat, charge my phone, store my bags safely and help me get to my wedding venue. All for free! What beautiful people. Thank you so much. I decided to let the booking go through on the 27th August to repay their kindness <3. Thanks again guys. - Sundar (The Malaysian biker)

On August 7, 2018. We had gone to outside. And came back to our room late at night. But the staff enters our room without permission and goes through our things. ( toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo) So, we sent the message to the staff but no answer from them until now!! And at the early morning on August 8, 2018. We check out. We can’t brush our teeth all day. Until back our home. It’s a bad experience in Drop inn Singapore.

“Nice hospitality”
The place is worth with the price and location are near with Boon Keng MRT, only walk for 5 - 10 minute. Would stay here if i come to Singapore again :)

The room was okay - a small double bunk bed in a small room. The bathroom was very unclean and the one shower didn’t really lock properly. After showering a middle aged Indian man was trying to get into my room whilst I was in my towel. Maybe another guest. On the last day the host came and told us that check out was at 11 at 11:45, despite all signs around telling us check out was at 12.

“great location accessible”
mrt is walking distance.. mustafa center and city square mall is just 15 mins away by feet.. staffs are friendly... place is quiet and convenient to find. instructions given for late check in which is good since no reception adter 830 pm. place is quiet which can give rest... towels are for rent so i suggest u bring ur own if u want to save couple of dollars.. :) would definety recommend this place... grear value for money as well.

“Good value for money”
This is the second hotel i have booked in my 1 week stay in Singapore. I should have chosen this hotel for our whole stay. THis is better than the previous hotel we stayed in our trip. The room is spacious and clean. Since this is a backpacker hotel, we had to go 1 floor to go to the shared bathroom. there is no toilet in the same floor. But the staff are approachable and you can even use their provided utensils and unlimited water in pantry.

“Probably the worst hostel I've seen in some time”
Reception was messy, beds weren't done, floors were full of dust accumulated from days, unclean toilets and shower rooms (there were a pile of shampoo sachets from days of use), unusable furniture spread out everywhere, no staff available almost at all times, no sign of breakfast (not sure if it's included). One of the worst staying experiences ever. I know it's cheap, but there are places that try to be clean for the same money.

“Valuable & nice staff ”
The staff there is nice, helpful & kind. Room is comfortable & suit for those travelers who come in group/family, AC is cold, there is 2 common toilet which can be used. All in all, it is good to recommend to others.

“Above expectation, commendation place and service”
My friend and I are happy and love this place. It was comfy, the room's fragranced, the air-condition surprisingly cold. The beds in spring mattresses, with white bed sheet and the covers are immaculately matched with the same patterns. Those reviews on this hostel on bedbugs, and one toilet bowl are preposterous. We stayed on our bed for more than 8 hours, sleeping and surfing the net for our next trip to Penang, and we spot nothing! When we arrived, we nook our beds and just shocking the beds are fine and clean. The shower room's small but it is unlike mixed all in one room. It is separated by each door and room, ultimately clean. Drop Inn gave us a free breakfast because there were other families with breakfast included, though ours was a promotion price and did not come with it. The lounge area was spacious and bright place for chilling, the staffs, Leo and Mustafa, gave us good pointers, what to cover and eat do for a one day in Singapore. These men are friendly, and always suggestive. They allowed us to check into our room 3 hours before the check in hours, at no additional charges, but warned us that nap during the check out hours can be unsettling as the other guests are busy getting ready. We appreciate on this little reminder that prepared our mind, and my friend Tina just wept having to be reminded of her mom. We can say Drop Inn is in a good location, and accessibility is the key. With 8 minutes walk to the Boon Keng MRT station and the purple train line served most attraction places that takes you in less than 30 minutes journey. “Not great”
Great location- but so are the tons of other hostels in the area. I booked for a twin room on the first floor for the same price as a private room in hotel 81 which was also around the area. Ive stayed in hostels and inns before but this inn isnt just for me. They really should improve their bathrooms. There was also clutter in the hallway- mostly cleaning materials and spare spring beds. Other than material clutter- there was human "clutter" as well- I dont know how and why 2 men decided/ were allowed to sleep in the hallway! Quite a sight when you want to use the bathroom at night. The cherry on top of the pie is the way they handled my complaint about the bug bites on my body after my first night stay. According to the Agoda rep I spoke to, the Inn wanted proof of bugs as if my numerous bites including those in my eye werent enough. They wanted actual pics of the bugs, apparently. As if bed bugs are easily seen by the naked eye.

We cannot just create storeroom and storerooms by calling a handyman. The rooms in the hostel are approved by engineers, building authority and fire department. Our sheets on the hallway are folded and stacked neatly on shelves, maybe you like them not visible. Secondly Kristine, it is very rude to even quote us human as clutter. You checked in around 11am-1pm, there are people who just wants to have power nap on our comfy sofa. We cannot stop them from doing that, even if Ms Philippines are going to come in. Where you are from the population of people are huge, if you dislike crowd you should try booking for Amara Sanctuary Hotel Sentosa, away from the city. Lastly, we FREE upgraded you to a bigger clean room,for the tiny price you are paying. Ultimately, bed bugs are visible! Before bed bugs there are black spots on the concentrated area.

“Value for money - recommended”
The place is small but nice and clean. We booked a room for 6 pax but it can accommodate up to 8 pax. Bathroom is ok and it's shared bathroom so you have take turns. The staffs are friendly and helpful, they even help us with direction on the places we wanted to go. They also sell tickets on a discounted price for USS; Singapore Zoo, Gardens by the Bay etc. All in all, its a nice stay and recommend for those who have tight budget and backpackers.

“Glad we only spent 1 night”
The receptionist was barely there when we needed him (even we checked in by ourselves). Let alone being there when we wanted to rent towel (yes it was our first trip eve not taking a bath in the morning). The family room, instead of having 1 double bed & 2 single bunk, had 2 double bunk (it was an awkward night). The bathroom was lacking of amenities. The location was so far away from Lavender SMRT, but it was walking distance from Boon Keng. So,location is ok. (false information here on Agoda, do stop at Boon Keng). In short, there are better places with the same price.

“When i came to the inn at night there is nobody open the door. Luckily somebody (guest) help us to open the door. If not we can not get inside the inn. ”
Need to change the pillow case since it's smelly

Very good location. Owner is very approachable. They helped us in many things like booking in theme parks etc.

“Don’t stay at this hostel ”
I’m booked for 4 bed family room but once I reached there the receptionist girl said the room was fully booked and only provide us 10bed mix room. I’m pissed off as the location not convenience at all :far from the mrt and difficult to find it. I said I ald booked the room how come u all just give the rooms to others. The reason given saying that forgot to inform me. I was like #%^¥! I cancelled the room and request to get refund immediately and only giving me back SGD69 which I paid RM250. The currency exchange was so much different but I’m given up cuz my family was so tired and I’m hurry to find another hotel. Don’t stay at this hostel !
