“A bit disappointed”
Upon entering the room, heat already welcomed me because the air conditioning was having a problem. I reported it immediately but they took action 2 days after. Besides that, the staff were accommodating. Comfort Room was clean. Value for money check! Overall I give it 3/5

“The best staff!”
A huge shoutout to the staff who went above and beyond to help me when I had issues with key access, beyond their working hours! I just hope they fixed the AC as water was leaking/dripping the entire time of my stay, had to put a pail underneath it.

“Bedbugs”
The location is very convenient—just a short walk to the beach and close to the party area. However, the dormitory beds were infested with bedbugs and cockroaches, which completely ruined my holiday . I woke up with a swollen eye and painful bites all over my back. I informed the staff about it, and they admitted they were already aware of the issue. They said they’ve been trying to get rid of the bedbugs using spray, but clearly, it hasn’t worked. It was very traumatic for me, and I lost my confidence—especially after realizing how many bites I had only once I got home.

“Great Location and Accommodating staff”
Staying here was great. The place is strategically located near the beach and near all the establishments which we truly appreciate. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Plus their coffee is so good.

“Very accomodating staff! ”
We are so grateful for the staff for accommodating. Despite the overbooking incident we experienced, they went the extra mile to give us a better experience. The coffee and food in their cafe was so delish and very much recommendable! Thank you to Sir Bong and the team of ates for doing their best effort to accommodate us.

“I wouldn't recommend this hostel. Unfortunately, our stay was extremely uncomfortable for several reasons:”
Bed Bugs and Hygiene Issues: We experienced severe skin redness and itching, with scars that are still visible even after three months. We saw actual bed bugs on the curtains, beddings, and pillows, which was deeply concerning. Unpleasant Odor: The room had a strong, foul smell, which the staff suspected was due to a dead rat. Despite our stay, they couldn't locate or resolve the issue. Towel Rental: Towels are not provided for free, and considering the hygiene concerns, I’d recommend bringing your own to avoid potential skin conditions. Unaccommodating Staff: The staff was not welcoming or helpful, which added to our frustration. Noise Levels: The neighboring café played extremely loud music throughout the day. Afternoon naps were impossible, likely because the walls were too thin to block out the noise. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I hope management takes serious action to improve their hygiene, facilities, and service.

“Not Accommodated by Staff”
Westcoast staff have not responded back when i reached there. We spoke earlier around 8pm that i will be heading and checking in late, & the staff told me to just take the key from the reception but when i reached to the place late night, they were closed. I tried calling them few times but they wouldn't answer my calls or text. So i have to find another place urgently to stay for the night. I kept contacting them the following day but they won't answer also requested for a refund but they kept silent. This is really a bad guesture as we had agreed i'll arrive late night as confirmed earlier over the phone. Not a good place to book as well, they don't have a parking space too. Terrible experience. Good thing Ohlala Hostel accommodated me even it was late night. She was very helpful. Hats off to Ohlala Hostel!

Nice place the Wi-Fi was excellent. The food was good. The staff was really nice. , hot water worked, but the showerhead needs to be replaced for better water flow ? I didn’t know my room would be so tiny. ? I misjudged it.😹 , it’s conveniently located in a small town setting , few places to choose from to eat ? “Cute little place , ”
It’s in a great location, walking distance to a lot of different places to eat ? The Wi-Fi was excellent in the room, which was important to me. , they have a pretty good restaurant , I had a Philipino breakfast one morning , the area is quiet at night , I think I probably had one of the worst rooms because it was very close to the street but even with that being what it is, it was still quiet. It wasn’t as bad as you would think.? I have nothing but great things to say about their staff, which was really cool ? I’ve had no issues. I was had a great stay ,

“Superb location, value for money”
Enjoyed our stay at West Coast beach house very much. The staff were really accommodating and friendly. The place is right smacked in the middle of everything. Super accessible to the beach too

“Cozy Place for Solo Travelers”
It's one of the best hostels in Moalboal with value for money. It's in the main road and the cafe is separate from the hostel, so it's not that noisy at night (except for the street noise and the cafe across). They have a hot and cold shower and a bidet in the common toilet and bath. The wifi is good enough for remote working as long as you are not taking online calls.

“Exceptional staff service”
Maintenance should do something with the ac dripping inside the room as it floods the floor. Smell of sewer in the bathroom is very strong. Ants all over the place. Dogs roaming around / customers table while we’re eating.

“We had a mouse in our room! TWICE!”
The night before last we suddenly saw something ranning in our room. We saw a mouse under the sofa! We eventually succeeded to get him out but our thought was that we never saw it come in so he must have been in our room for the past 3 nights. And then, night later (our last night) we suddenly heard a noise coming from the garbage - when we went to get the garbage out a mouse came from it! So 2 mouse in 2 days! He also ate some chocolate we had in our room. We packed and left immediately. The only good thing is the location.

We had a great stay at WestCoast. Their staff were all accommodating. Though room was a little bit smaller than I expected. But location was the best. It was near everything!

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The location is perfect, with everything conveniently nearby. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it.

Super Clean facility, Friendly staff, May free drinking water, malakas wifi, Hot shower, airconditioned room, Tv with netflix, super comfy bed, accesible sa lahat. Paglabas kainan, massage, bar agad. May mga nagooffer din sa tour, Malapit sa sardines and turtle spot. Super sulit ang bayad. I recommend this hotel. If ever we go back we will still choose this place. Thank you 🫰

“Best affordable stay!”
Staffs are friendly and cooperative for tourists like us. The room we had was clean and complete with basic needs. We were also close to the beach itself where we had sea turtle viewing and sardines run. Recommended!
