“Fabulous location”

This motel was ideal for a stay in Queenstown.. So close to everything Queenstown has to offer. Staff were great and very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. The price was great and would recommend this motel.

For location, value and cleanliness, you simply can not beat this motel. Yes, some features are "older style" but everything is in perfect working condition, and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful.

Very good location, close to the central of queenstown and skyline. Also have free car park. Room is big. Only the minor thing is the water pressure is not enough.

Have stayed at this motel 3 years ago with overseas visitors when we had the bedroom unit upstairs, no complaints in that visit, clean room. But this time, on 2nd visit with family, allotted a rear-side ground floor 'studio' for a family of 3. Noticed a number of issues- *No milk in the fridge or creamer in the tray-on checking was told there was no milk delivery that day, got a small bottle late at night after reminder. When a room is rented out and paid for, it becomes obligatory for the owner/manager to provide all required facilities or inform the guest if there is an issue with something and rectify it soon. *No tea towel and cleaning cloth provided, despite reminding. *The hob very slow in heating, hardly of any use to travellers waiting to cook a quick meal and go out sightseeing. *3 of us in family and only 2 forks in the kitchen drawers. *The reception hardly manned- each time for any query, had to send a txt message to the manager or had to wait outside. Not worth the money.

Proximity to town, Easy access and cosy accomodation. Rooms were heated on arrival and milk was provided for morning coffee. Not very big but very functional for what I was after. Cheers

“The best thing about Amber Lodge is location!”

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights, parked the car in the car park provided and left it there the whole time, walked everywhere! The room was clean and we had everything we needed. Didn’t see much of the staff but when we did they were helpful and friendly.

Room is a bit old, but overall was good. Superb location, , just 3 min walk to the main street. They provide parking space, good for those driving a car as parking space is so limited and expensive in town.

“Good Budgeted Hotel”

Room is big, clean and tidy. Kictenware are sufficient. Location is excellent as Hotel is close to bus stop and downtown. Staff are good and nice.

The motel was conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from shotover street where the restaurants and booking centers were! We had a great time in queenstown and always looked forward to head back to our clean and spacious room for a good night's rest.

Motel located near township just 3 mins walk. And there was free parking that I think it is very good for travelling in very busy town like Queenstown. Room condition is ok. But kitchen and toilet are dated.

Stayed at Amber Lodge for 6 nights. Clean and comfortable room, nice hot shower, warm and toasty bed. Great location, just a 4-min walk away from the town center. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

No reception nbr for enquiries. Gotta run down slope to reception. Wife gave service without smiles. Son told us not to meddle with heater wch does not run continuously even though we were freezing. Husband scolded us for wetting toilet floor! Gave warning will chase us out for bal 2 nights prepaid!!

Great sized room. clean, quiet, family friendly. it doesn't have a view but that wasn;t important to us. SUPER SUPER convenient, in terms of location.

Unfortunately it had some very noisy tenants. Raining so external stairway was wet getting to and from. Car parked next door.

great stay, friendly staff who provided great sightseeing tips. accommodating with requests for luggage to be left until return stay and also when checking out. kithcen has a microwave, but no dedicated microwave dishes.

“Great Location, everything we needed”

Hotel was nice and clean and the 2 bedroom room we booked had enough room for 5 of us. the living area was large enough for us all to sit in. shower and toilet were clean and in good condition. Location wise, it is less than a 4 minute walk and you are pretty much in the middle of town. with this in mind, the location is nice and quiet. would stay here again if i needed a place that could sleep five. couldnt find better value for money at any of the other hotels on here.

가격이 저렴한 만큼 시설은 매우 낙후하였습니다. 그러나 주방 및 식기시설이 잘 갖추어져 있어 요리를 해먹기에 좋고 동전 투입 후 이용할 수 있는 세탁기와 건조기가 있어 편리합니가. 시설 및 분위기는 호텔이나 한국 모텔에 비해 떨어지지만 아늑하고 조용하며 지내기에 불편한 점은 없었습니다. 버스정류장과 슈퍼,아시안 슈퍼와 매우 가깝습니다.

겨울에 간터라 호텔 방에 들어가자마자 엄청난 추위가 기다리고 있었습니다. 작은 규모 호텔이면 투숙객을 배려해서 조금 난방기구를 켜놓았었으면 좋았었을텐데... 또한 리셉션 분을 만나기가 하늘의 별따기 였습니다. 하지만 위치는 좋았습니다.

“Centrally located accom”

Great place to stay , our host was so kind as to help us out with a late check in via email. Room was more than sufficient and exactly as advertised, shower pressure was excellent and we were located just a short walk into town and the shops. Most importantly, the cute little doggies there were the BEST! They kept feeding me their ball over the fence, it was so much fun entertaining them :) :) :)

We had a studio and it was spacious. The kitchen was also well equipped. Wifi was good. Unfortunately we had a ground floor unit and it was near to the car park, so it can be noisy at times. Location was great for the amount you pay. Dont mind staying here again if back to Queenstown.
