Stayed two nights. There was nothing wrong with the facility itself, but the smell in the room was quite strange. Not sure what it was — it seemed like they used a strong perfume diffuser to cover up an odor from the toilet. Both of us had sore throats the next morning. We won’t stay here again. Can’t complain too much given the price — you get what you pay for.

Building is a bit old but everything seems to be well kept. The location is great too, less than 10min walk to Westfield Newmarket mall and also near to bus stops and the train. Good recommendation if you want an accessible and affordable place!

“Wouldn’t recommend ”
Expected a nicer hotel for the price we paid which was also discounted. We weren’t assigned a car park even though I had asked about one prior to our arrival. Felt like we were sleeping in a small dungeon. We thought we only literally needed somewhere to sleep and shower for the night. I would not recommend this cheaply built hotel.

When we arrived we were told we haven’t booked in although we had confirmation email and booking number from Agoda and already paid. The staff was nice and calm and talked to the manager . We don’t know why it happened. The ending was good but it was not nice experience.

도미토리라고 써있길래 혹시나 했는데 역시나 2인 벙커베드가 두 개 있어서 나는 백팩커스를 떠나 도미토리로 왔구나... 싶었지만 쓰는 5일 동안 아무도 들어오지 않아서 그제서야 여기는 그냥 도미토리 방을 혼자 쓰라고 주는구나. 하고 깨달았습니다... 편하게 잘 썼네요. 먼지 냄새가 좀 나는 걸 제외하고는 화장실도 깨끗하고 좋았습니다. 대신 공용 주방 쓸 거 생각하고 오시면 좀 실망하실 수도 있다는 점... 좀 지저분?합니다. 아무튼 지낼 곳 애매할 때 잠깐 살다가기 좋아요. 근처에 있는 타이 식당 맛있음.

The hotel is located at the corner of the busy road and the window is a single glazed glass so can hear every noise coming from outside. Felt like a sleeping on the road so we couldn’t get sleep well. They should do something with the noise e.g replacing glasses to soundproof one.

“Booked the wrong date well in advance, no refund or understanding ”
I booked this last minute room, got the wrong date for the following week and was advised by the staff that I could get a refund. I booked another motel instead as I needed a place to stay. I requested a refund justifying why, showed evidence of the hotel I booked for another place on the same night and got rejected. I don’t see why when I requested this the very next day.

We spent three nights in Auckland. At first, we thought the price was reasonable; however, after spotting cockroaches in the room every night, we changed our view. The location was great, but the price wasn’t that much of a deal when you factor in the $15 nightly parking fee.
