Place is nice
I thought the room was very dated. And old. It was clean. Had a nice meal at the restaurant. But breakfast was very average. One staff member was on his phone all the time txting. Staff at front desk were not very helpful.
Would recommend to anyone. Clean and great location
Stayed for a couple nights. Room was adequate and location was good enough to access places
The reception staff were helpful and friendly, room a bit tired but bed comfortable. Very easy walk to downtown.
Good clean accommodation and staff helpful and courteous. Meals good and hotel well situated.
Dear Richard Thank for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us while in Auckland. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind regards Nick L General Manager
Good for the price. The staff were very helpful. Nice gin bar downstairs and the restaurant was convenient although we didn't eat there so can't comment on food. The rooms and the hotel generally were a little bit shabby but clean and had all the facilities you'd expect including a nice big screen tv and very comfy bed.
Nice bed and everything is acceptable. Near to car rental
The room is quite spacious that I can open up two large luggage beside the beds. Near to city center, around 15 minutes walk to sky tower. There’s also hotel car park for the guests with minimal charges. Great choice for family with young kids!
Due to the number of guests are over the capability of hotel. Breakfast tables are not enough for guests during 8:00-9:00 am and check in is long queue. Some cleaning or room service incomplete or overlooked.
Good location and clean hotel
Clean rooms in a handy area to the city.
For a brand name, this stay has been a real disappointment. Much better choices in Auckland for that same kind of pricing
Warm reception by friendly staff. Excellent bfast!
Room was clean and tidy, staff are helpful and efficient. Pays to check in early if possible as there is limited car parking and you have to pay for it which isnt mentioned on the website.
Staff were really friendly and accommodating. They made sure we were well versed with the info we needed to know.
Location is a bit off the CBD, but great value, comfortable bed and room is adequate.
Thank you really lovely time at the hotel.
We picked this hotel as it was on the cheaper side but had a good reputation. The paint peeling off the door frames in our rooms, rooms spelt like stale cigarette smoke, I’d requested single beds in each room and both rooms were set up with doubles instead. On top of all this, check in took a lot longer than necessary considering it was midnight when we checked in and there was no one one else around. Would not come back here. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable.
We got a great rate, it was close to town, good facilities. Loved it.
Hi Kirk, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a glowing review. We are glad to know our location was handy for you and that our facilities met your needs. Our team will be delighted to know we provide excellent value and hope to welcome you back in future. Enjoy the rest of your week ahead! Kind Regards, Sophia Liu Operations Manager
For the money, you can't go wrong. There's a restaurant with good food & a bar. The staff are very efficient & friendly. The beds are very comfortable. French doors onto a balcony enables fresh air to come into the room. Would definitely stay again.
Hi Sigrid, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a glowing review. We are glad to hear our food and bar was enjoyable along with our comfy beds and balcony access. We are also delighted to hear that our customer service was up to standard as we pride ourselves on meeting our guests needs. Look forward to welcoming you back in the near future - we have updated our restaurant menu since, come swing by if you're in the area next. Kind Regards, Sophia Liu Operations Manager
Location is great and within walking distance of the waterfront, Queens Street, and various other places. One thing that the management should consider is clearly indicating where to tap the swipe card in the elevator. It is not obvious at all.
This is a pleasant and well-placed hotel in a lively part of the city and a good stroll into town or to the museum. Nothing special about the room, but everything worked and was clean and staff were very pleasant.
Unfortunately there is no air conditioning although it states that it does. The heat in the room especially on level 5 and 6 was unbearable at times you couldn't even breath in there it was so hot. Very disappointing , no problem with the staff or food just really need to get the air conditioning sorted.
Very disappointing experience as the last time I was here it was exellent. When I checked in the staff were at pains to ensure that we would be in for breakfast early and we would be checking out promptly in morning as they would be closing hotel for Christmas. Felt very strange to be treated this way. Then I booked a restaurant for 5 for dinner. I asked if my guests could park at the hotel while we had dinner. Of course they said but they would have to pay $20. Seemed really miserable to say the least considering the carpark was pretty much empty. We arrived for dinner and were told a couple of thing were off the menu again because the hotel was closing for Xmas. So we ordered what was available. It took 30 mins to recieve starters. Then another 45 mins to get our mains. They didn't come out together
Small unit but great view of the harbour and small balcony to let in the fresh air, close to town and great brekkie
Clean and well appointed room, friendly and co-operative staff, well situated, reasonable tariff.
Good value for money and staff very helpful. I’m
It was good for the price and food was good at the restaurant
Rooms clean, a bit outdated but beds comfy. Staff helpful. Rooms abit noisy. Fine for 1 night stay.
The hotel has some age to her but shes still a great old girl. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant is not only good food, but value for money. I can't say enough about the staff. Especially one of the managers. Sophie or Sophia (I'm so sorry, as I should know which it is) who always makes you feel like a good friend come for an overdue visit.
Not the best hotel experience. The carpet was grubby and I didn't want to walk on it without shoes. The bathroom had tiles that were coming away, grout was missing and it was all very tired and unimpressive. The shower rose was chest height. The room was cold despite the heating saying it was on well over 25, it felt like 18 at best. The duvet was also pretty thin, so not a warm night. It was pretty disappointing on the whole. I was in and out for work, but if I was staying for the weekend I wouldn't have hung about in that room at all. Room 311.
Good location for Spark Arena and Strand Railway Station. Has reasonably priced restaurant/room service, but we didn't try anything. Cleanliness not great, hair on shower wall and beard? shavings around edge of sink. But I guess kind of cheap price
My room smelled of damp, as did the corridor outside my room. Not a pleasant experience I won’t stay again
Facility is dated & on the tired side, pillows could be better, but was clean & all that was needed for a short overnight stay to see a concert - easy location to get to & from. Ok for the price but not if higher rate. Worked for us.
Close walk to Queen St and Britomart. Lovely staff. Nice breakfast buffet. Especially loved having a balcony with our room to get fresh air. Only downfall was the car parking.
Very old place and a little bit too far if wanting to walk to venues in britomart/viaduct Overflow parking quite a way down road too
Great staff, great location, great value
If you need well priced hotel, close to Auckland CBD, for a brief stay, then this Copthorne could suit your needs. It is starting to show it's age and is nothing flash, but was clean, and the bed was very comfertable. Brand new and large flatscreen TV was a feature. I didn't partake, but the breakfast was well priced.
Well situated, large older Hotel close to Central Auckland. A little tired and worn, but staff were excellent.
Hotel exceptionally tired. Needs a full renovation.
Rude service holes in the walls and ceilings and cramped and noisy rooms, it was an extremely uncomfortable stay and would not recommend.
Our room smelled musty and stale. The air-conditioner made a lot of noise but didn't even blow the slightest of breeze let alone cooling air. Therefore the room got hot and we slept with the patio door open, using earplugs to block out the noise. We asked for a 6.30am wakeup call which didn't happen.
clean rooms good service, shower was only for midgets though.
For the cost I would have expected a bigger room. The rooms need updated and bathroom needs repainted. However downstairs in the bar is lovely and buffet breakfast was great
Great staff and nice stay. The breakfast was really nice
Hotel was easy to locate and I was given a corner room with views across the port and harbour. The car park can be a little tight, but is good value for money. Comfortable bed meant a slept through the night. Am already looking at my next stay.
Got a real good price off agoda. Hotel is dated but nice and clean, lovely young lady on reception. Breakfast delicious. Would stay again.
We stayed at the Copthorne for one night only. The staff were very friendly and remembered our conversations when we returned to the desk the following day at check-out, which was nice. So very personal service. Lovely breakfast and attentive service. Comfortable beds and great wifi. Superb location for the city, but very quiet, which we wanted.
“すごく良い”
Didn't able to sleep well because of the air conditioner is not that cold, but all else is good.
