The hotel was good overall with some of the staff being really nice and friendly while others were extremely rude. The hotel's location is good for people who have a flight to catch but not for someone who has to commute alot to the city since it is very far even by Car. The room size was good and all the necessary facilities were present. So overall a nice choice with good and free Parking

Never again took specially this hotel to be close to airport but my flight was at 6:00 … no shuttle available I had to pay 35€ and begged for a taxi … instead of taxi a friend of the staff came 15 minutes I had to wait almost missed my flight … staff was yelling at me and insulted me
Perfect for my one night stay before moving closer into the city center. Easy bus ride and a short walk from the airport
It was easy to catch the shutt bus. Checkin was smooth. Room was clean and quiet . Breakfast was excellent.
The best part about this hotel is the free bus service to and from the airport/train station. Other airports nearby will charge you 5 euro per trip
As a frequent traveler i feel extremely disappointed with hotel staff who treated me badly and very disrespectful. I had stayed the night of June 13 , 2024 and due to fly out of Schiphol the next morning. On June 13 evening I called reception and asked them to reserve a taxi to pick me up from the hotel at 04:15 as hotel shuttle only starts at 6 a.m. I asked if the taxi will be the ones using taxi meter and the reception staff confirmed it. I asked how much would it cost approximately and she said 20 - 25 euros to which I said fine. The following morning I was picked by a black van and the driver did not open the meter and so I asked how much will it cost so he replied 30 euros and I was already halfway , by that time , to the airport. I felt cheated and I discussed this matter with the driver to which he said he cannot do anything because the hotel reception made the arrangements as such. And he took me back to the hotel as he says he will not drop me at airport. Upon entering the hotel the lady staff at reception started yelling at me and talked very rudely and said her colleague made the arrangements and not her. This is unacceptable, if you cannot provide your customers with such arrangements truthfully and correctly then please say you cannot help out in this matter rather than having your customers get cheated as it affects the hotel image. I am a frequent traveler and been traveling in Europe for the past 23 years , with honesty, this is the worst experience i had and for sure will never stay at Bastion hotel in the Netherlands. Frankly , I did read a review similar to my experience but never imagined it would happen to me . For those who have an early flight and not able to use hotel shuttle I recommend to download Uber App and book a ride with them the morning you need to go to airport. It cost me approximately 19 euros. DON'T let the people working at reception and van drivers take advantage of you or scam you. Shameful behavior!!!

Bed could be cleaner. Lots of hair etc. Rooms are big and has all essentials

I lived in hell for two days
Clean hotel and a Decent hotel, free shuttle to Airport every 30min. Mcdonalds is downstairs and you can have some food. Hotel does have their own restaurant and bar but they don't do room service, that is the only drawback.
Everything was ok about this hotel. Price, room and location. Except the room was 23.5 deg Celsius. WITH THE A/C ON. The receptionist was kind enough to give us a different room. But even that was the same. We can't the difference because we just moved from the hotel beside it (Best Western) and had to turn down the air con.. It was so cold. At the bastion, the receptionist gave me a garbled explanation as to why the air con is not working. Everything was ok with this hotel if you are prepared to sweat a bit at night. Outside temp was 16 Celsius, room temp 23 Celsius. Bastion, learn from the Best Western please.
It's a really nice hotel near the airport. Has the free shuttle bus! Pretty good. And the staffs are all nice! Recommend it!
Although the location is outside of the Amsterdam city central, but the hotel itself I would say is great. It’s clean and comfortable, the staff are very nice and helpful. It is near a bus station to get to airport and city destination. My stay there was enjoyable enough.
Stayed here after a long flight. Super comfy and deluxe size bed. Coffee machine in the room, only no boiler to brew some tea.
We spent 4 nights here. Service was good and breakfast was good. They offer shuttle bus to the airport which was amazing
Overall all good stay. AC was making some noise and had to switch it off.
We hesitated where to stay a few nights in Amsterdam but it was a right decision. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had many luggages and staff told us our room was ready so they let us check in earlier. Shuttle bus was great and free. Available every 30 mins 24/7 - negative point = no kettle
Not good customer service, not very helpfull. In agoda, tget mentioned its 4 star hotel with swimming pool with gym. But they dont have it. Early checkin was not possible, but they kept our luggages safe in their toilet. Its not acceptable, to keep our expensive luggage in their toilet. They said their toilet is their store room. Whts this service.. On 2 nd may we checked in after 10.00 pm. A male receptionist was not very helpful. He was arguing with us about the store room facility. They charged 18.75 euro extra from us as city tax for 3 nights. We paid all the tax and charges when we made tye booking with agoda. We need the refund of 18.75 as soon as possible. Thank you ASHLY
Great location with free shuttle bus to the airport
Compared to ozo hotel this had better amenities ..with gym, WiFi, free parking.
The location was convenient with the transfer service provided by the hotel. The staff were average. The facilities provided were decent with good Wi-Fi. The safety locker didn’t function in our room. Breakfast didn’t meet our expectations and was below average and very limited option if you are a vegetarian especially. All in all, it was an average stay.
Clean, friendly staff, easy to go to and come from airport with free shuttle service. I recommend this hotel.

Everything was good, near to the airport. View was very pleasant from your our room we could see planes taking off. We didn’t really like the cleanliness in the room it’s always looked very dusty not changing bedsheets or even towels sometimes, not sweeping either.
The place is close to the bus stop, is very easy to go to Amsterdam by bus. Also, the shuttle to airport is a good advantage. I paid breakfast one day and worth it a lot. Room very comfortable and clean.
I was charged twice my dinner, please double check and return to my credit card. I was charged at night and at checkout, the lady said I had to pay in order to check out, there was no one at the reception to claim.

Hotel location is close to the airport. Free shuttle service makes things easy especially if you are planning to visit central Amsterdam. One point to mention is the local tax fees which was not mentioned during my booking thorough Agoda. Each night you will need to pay 6.5 euro. Agoda claimed that they do not have control on these taxes even though my booking clearly mentioned that taxes are included!
I booked it for 4 nights and it’s so nice. There’s a free shuttle bus to the airport and back, very easy to travel. The staff are really nice. I left my suitcases there until the time of my flight.
Location is excellent and economical option even if you want to explore the city
The staff was very rude and racist. Upon asking for towels which they forgot to put during cleaning, they ask me to go to the reception to get it because they don't have staff. They also laughed at the fact that I was wet after cleaning myself and didn't have towel to dry myself! When they did deliver after negotiating, they gave me the ones that is put on the floor not the ones used for wiping the body. Repeated calls to the reception went unanswered. Finally when they delivered they came with 4 towels for the solo me, indirectly meaning I need too many towels! Hotels should realise we don't pay for going to the reception to get this and that, especially things that they themselves didn't put in the room. If no staff is available then the hotel owner/CEO needs to deliver it to the guest's room! Also, the breakfast didn't have enough choices to have a proper breakfast. I had to go to a kebab shop to have a proper breakfast as I was left hungry after eating at the hotel. Also, cleanliness is not maintained with the breakfast, the eggs for example were not washed and cleaned and there was still lot of dirt on it which disgusted me to my core. This hotel is the best place to have a sour experience on your vacation meant to relax your mind.
It is at best a transit hotel but not a great one
A decent option for an overnight before flying out
No sympathy towards tired young children, refused to release room till 3pm. Even had to asked twice after 3pm. Staff dont smile and even witnessed a front desk staff having a dispute with a guest and asked him not to come back.
I stayed at the Bastion Hotel Amsterdam a few weeks ago. It was a repeat visit and again this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel has a free shuttle to AMS Airport (departs every 30 minutes) and property is maintained nicely. The room was quite clean, and well appointed with strong wifi, in room safe, and power outlet near the nightstand. The staff was exceptional in their prompt, professional and frinedly demeanor, especially Emily. I look forward to my next visit, and recommend to any traveler needing a clean comfortable room for a short stay near AMS.
