“One night at Hotel G-7”

I had a very positive experience. The staff was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in arranging transportation, the use of cutlery outside of the breakfast area and wake-up calls. The breakfast buffet was decent and had a nice mix of traditional and Western food choices. My room was quite spacious and comfortable and had lovely views of the city. I highly recommend this property to leisure travelers.

“Excellent service, amenities and beds.”

There was no request too large for the staff. They always were able to accommodate us with whatever we needed. They even peeled our grapefruit we bought from the outdoor market. They brought us bananas everyday in the afternoon. Breakfast was delicious and a full buffet. We were very pleased with our stay at G-Seven and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Mandalay.

“Far from perfect ”

We were happy when we checked in as our room was nice and clean and the bathroom looked good. We showered afternoon and morning and there was no hot water either time. Our room lost power a couple of times and we believe it was just our room as the hallway was still well lit. Breakfast was a variety of tired food offered in cold warming trays.Wont be back.

“Nice Place”

We enjoyed our stay at G-Seven. Nice place with friendly, helpful staff. Not a huge fan of the bathroom, though - it was a shower over the bath (which is nit usually a problem), but it was quite difficult as the bath was very deep and there was nothing to hold on to. Also, the water from the shower tended to pool on the floor and flood the bathroom. Other than the bathroom issue, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Absolute recommendation for Mandalay”

Amazing value for money. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional, speaking good english. They have booked the boat trip to Bagan (our next stop) for us and the taxi to the port. Unfortunately, we have forgot a bag in the taxi with our go pro, sunglasses, money etc. We gave the Hotel a quick call from the boat and they immediately contacted the driver and sent a package to our Hotel in Bagan, which was already there when we arrived some hours later that day. Absolutely incredible. We asked to cover the costs, but Hotel G-Seven just wrote that its their service.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Pros: location is great, nice clean room, really comfortable beds, lovely friendly staff (some speak better English then others) amazing breakfast with a variety of good food! Wifi worked well. Cons: no hot water in the evening.

“Not sincere Stuff”

The best thing of this hotel are the room is clean and functionable except the television which no cable ,only 15 chanels with only Chinese language so you cannot enjoy and entertain from TV in the night and the breakfast is good but 30 USD is expensive if compare with another hotel in the same area. The worst things in this hotel should to improve is the "STUFF" they can speak a little bit in English and you shoud to aware if you ask them to book a Taxi, the price will be very high maybe plus 40-50% from the normal price and I surprised that the stuff don't tell me that its have a share Taxi and Bus to go to Airport, the price is only Kyat 4,000 but they tell me to use private Taxi with the price kyat 12,000, I know the information of the share taxi from my taxi driver and my thai friend who stay in another hotel the same area but the stuff of her hotel tell her everything and help her to get the reasonable price of Taxi. For me only one time is enough, will not come back again.

“Mandalay”

The room is big and value for money. Water pressure was the best among our stays in Myanmar. Lift is precious in a country which is under developed. Staff is helpful and even helped to buy medicine for my friend.

“Poor staff service”

The staff has no accountability. When our bus arrived at the hotel to pick us up to Bagan, the staff wrongly took 2 of our bags to the wrong bus without checking. When we arrived at Bagan, we noticed 2 bags were not in our bus. When we called the hotel about our lost bags which their had carried to the wrong bus, surprisingly the hotel staff told us that it's not their responsibility once the luaggage was being carried out to the hotel. This is absurd !!!!

“Clean, big room, close to food market”

It was my second time staying at g-seven. The breakfast buffet was great. Many choice. The staff were great and helpful. The room was clean and they delivery free fruit every afternoon in your room. Hotel located near the night market with street food and shopping mall and about 1.5km to train station. You can walk to the train station if you have light backpack. Have a bicycle for rent for 3000 kyat a day. Its very near mandalay palace. Will stay here again for 3rd time

“Amazing bed and view!”

Superior double room was very clean (including bathroom) and the bed was very very comfortable (most comfy bed we had since we started Asia trip 5 weeks ago)! We had a really big and nice window with the city view! Beautiful sunrise when leaving early to catch the boat to Bagan. Breakfast with good selection of fresh fruits, good coffee, breads and breakfast confectionery. Friendly staff. Travel shop two doors down and good Italian just in front of the hotel.

I like staffs, always eager to help, the most. It's really overestimated comparing with the price! Stuffs in room are ready for u! There is everything indeed. Breakfast is nice. Love this hotel!!

Very small but super clean and perfect room, large bathroom, very helpful and super friendly staff, specially Mr Pyae Phyo Ko who arranged all our trips around Mandalay - just perfect. We can highly recommend going to the marionette theatre, that was just a great experience, also because of the drive with a bicycletaxi of back - seemed first not nice to use an old mens service to get home but he was sooo happy because we were his first clients this day and otherwise he would have waited until midnight if he can get another job (also better than in the midday heat and cheaper than a taxi).PLEASE SUPPORT THIS OLD MEN GIVING HIM A JOB - he will be there every evening :) If you want some good food and don't want to walk that far than there is just a restaurant next door to the Hotel in direction of 34th Street ,very good and cheap food and very friendly owner.

Excellent value for money, it is centrally located in Downtown Mandalay, therefore it is sometimes noisy from the street but not too bad. Highly recommended.

“Good hotel with very helpful staff”

Although we arrived very early in the morning (4:30 am), we could already enter our room, with no additional charge! Breakfast was good, with a nice view over Mandalay. Room was good, although a you heard quite some noise from the street. Best was the staff, that could organise everything we wanted at very reasonable prices (driver to Amarapura etc., ship tickets to Bagan, theater tickets) - just perfect!!

“Great value”

Extremely clean. Laundry service available and cheap. Minibar cheap (but not cold). Good breakfast buffet on top floor, included in price. Helpful staff arranged a private driver for a day-trip exploring the greater Myanmar area, though this could easily be done without their help as well. They also arranged our onward taxi to Pyin Oo Lwin. We ate at a good local restaurant nearby, The Beer King, good food, good beer, a super fun vibe. We had a "superior double." Room a little small. Great place overall.

“Hotel G Seven”

The hotel is smart, clean and tidy, with reasonable breakfasts, but a fairly new block and not a great deal of character. Staff are very keen and competent, though limited English speakers. Location near rail station was good for me, but maybe not so good for other activities or facilities. The best thing overall was value for money, at the end of high season.

“Decent hotel to stay for a few nights”

We spent two nights at the G-Seven, which was overall a good experience. Breakfast is one of the better I've seen in SE Asia. The rooms are not special, but clean. Hot water may be an issue.. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is ok, but you still have to get a bike to get to the major sights like king's palace.

Stayed in a hotel in Feb 2016 hotel is clean, room was comfortable. Breakfast is good with several choices. location is Ok however in mandalay it is difficult to state which location is good and which isn't as most of the sttactions are out of town (bar a couple of pagoda mandalay hill and the zegyo market- which I recommend) plus there isn't any public transport so I guess as far as you're not too far from mandalay palace and there are restaurants nearby your hotel then location is Ok (I have to say I wasn't overly impressed by mandalay) wifi is Ok (better at the reception than in the room). The only thing I would say the staff should help more tourists in terms of transport, th is to do and see, restaurants etc All in all, a good decently priced hotel with attentive staff and clean and quiet rooms. I would probably go back again

We arrived at 5 AM and staff welcomed us friendly and let us in the room immediately! Very spacious room with comfortable beds, lots of toiletries, full mini-bar and a hot bath :) Best room we have had in Myanmar for this price!

This place is highly rated for Myanmar, a country with poor internet and electricity issues. The room has a generator, good AC, ok hot water. Overall the place is very clean, well located, with great staff. Breakfast not so great.

“Good place for short stay in fairly central spot”

I needed a place for one night myself after my friends left Mandalay and this was just about right. Very helpful staff who gave me a lift to a bicycle rental place five blocks away. Clean room, well furnished for the price. As the hotel caters mainly to Chinese groups you may prefer to skip breakfast unless you like noise and noodles early in the morning, but in the surrounding streets there are lots of local options (mostly noodles again but much tastier). Considering how sprawling Mandalay is 77 street is quite a good location, with a lively morning market.

“Don't hestate, the best money can buy!”

....if you have a room on the 6th floor, the scenery is just incredible, water might no be very hot, but it's a detail, breakfast is a bice east and west buffet. Good deal in Mandalay, merci beaucoup!

It was great. The staff was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel is a modern 7 floor building, furnished with a nice wooden locally made furniture. Our room was much bigger than we had been expecting seeing the photos on Agoda. The TV was nice and A/C was quiet. Shower had a nice hot water though sometimes you had to wait a few minutes for it to come. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very nice to sleep in. Having the fridge was convenient, but unfortunately it was switching off each time we left the room (as you need to have the key inside the room, for electricity). There was some dried glue at the bottom of the bath tube, but it wasn't unhygienic, just bit unaesthetic. Overall impression very good, especially for the price. After all we stayed there for another two nights.

Very nice staff, WiFi good for myanmar standars, clean room, breakfast average. The only - thing is that the sccoter we rented form the reception wasn't in good condition, speacially the breaks. Finally I would recommend the hotel!

We stayed one night in this hotel. The staff was amazing, and let us check in early. They also helped out when our atm card wasn't working, which is a huge problem in Myanmar. The breakfast was a big buffet. Wifi was decent, for Myanmar. Located a bit far from attractions, but Mandalay is a huge city. Attractions are easily reachable if you rent a bike. The hotel is very close to a good night market. We would stay here again.

The hotel is brand new and nice, it has good beds in the rooms, nice buffet breakfast. They allowed us to check in at 8 a.m! Because they had a free room and we were very tired after overnight train from Yangon. Thanks a lot!
