“最高の誕生日になりました”
誕生日ということを伝えていたら、ケーキとcavaのボトルが部屋に用意されていました。念願のジンベエザメと一緒に泳ぐこともできて最高の誕生日になりました。スタッフの方のおもてなしもさすが５つ星という印象を受けました。また機会があれば滞在したいです。素敵なモルディブの思い出をありがとうござました。一生の宝物になると思います。

“Happy and memorable holidays”
A family of 4 persons, spent 4 nights in two overwater villas with half board meals. Daily snorkeling at high and low tides, meeting big and small fishes, sharks and turtle. Doing kayaking and paddle boarding in the calm sea near the water sports center. Though calm, the water did have a current which drifted us away from the shore, but thanks to the resort staffs who quickly came to rescue us.

“Great Hotel ”
So i had booked a water villa with private pool over 2 months ago and we were very thrilled upon our arrival. The hotek is lovely, staff are very friendly and the food and facilities were great. I faced Two issues that i have to write down, upon arrival the staff informed me that my room had issues and they would switch me to a different room for the first night which was very dissapointing keeping in mind that i booked only 4 night in a water villa and they relocated me to a beach villa for the first night regardless of the price per night. Second, after our checkout while waiting for the sea plane, a staff approached us twice and claimed that 2 towels were missing from the beach villa which is very unprofessional, we got very frustated and told them they can open our luggage if they want proof that we disdt take any. Other than these 2 issues, the hotek was nice, staff were friendly especially Irfan from the Club and i recommend this hotel to couples as well as families.

“Bad Experience ”
The Resort is excellent simply everything's but one of the manager working in there who is from India. He is very rude. He loves to prefer Indian people. I am from Bangladesh and he destroyed my trip. My flight was Dhaka from Maldives at 4:30 but without informing me he fixed our sea plain schedule at 6:30. I have requested so many times but he did not listen me. Unfortunately 2nd day was raining so did not be able to have pictures. Manager just killed my trip. I hope authority will take action about it.

However, the final schedule will be released by TMA one day prior to the guest's arrival/departure and sometimes flight will be doing stops in other resorts which are on the same way. “Greatest place to be away from the world!”
It is a family resort but still peaceful and quiet. All the staff are great especially the most friendly and welcoming manager, Nalin. I had the best room at the best location and with the best view. Get the room 100 (Duplex Villa) where you can nap outside day time facing the beach while enjoying the view and a book and sleep indoor at night to enjoy the fluffy and soft pillow and mattress. Everything is nice, clean and most importantly safe for single female traveller.

“Maldivian hospitality at its finest ”
We just returned from the most glorious 10 days at the Centara Grand Maldives. We stayed in a sunrise ocean view, room, and in a sunset ocean view room with a pool - which we thoroughly enjoyed both views. I can’t get over how great the food was at the resort, and how warm and welcome Maldivian hospitality made us feel, cannot wait to return!

“Perfect Vacation ”
The resort is 25 minutes (seaplane) away from Male. The distance is good away from crowded Male. White sand, clear seawater, lots lot’s fish.

“One of the best vacations”
In this small island, from the time you arrive to the time you leave, everywhere you go, you are greeted by the staff of the resort, giving you the feel that you are in a big family compound. Some of them even remembers our room number and name! Housekeeping staff were very attentive and efficient, checking to ensure you have sufficient water and any special need you may have. Food at the various restaurants were above average. The Italian restaurant stands out as the best. Staff at the water sport center were all very helpful and patient. The amazing colorful fishes around the resort can be seen even without the need to snorkel! Corals were, however, not very colorful. I supposed this is happening all over the world! Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy good food, good service, beautiful scenery and water!

“Misguided information ”
The room, view, location were amazing loved it but the I didn't find the admin very hospitable. I was in contact with them prior to booking. Had been asking and giving information regarding pickup and drop off. Yet they didn't consider telling me about the details of seaplane timings and I for sure can say the timing said by them was a vague one which didn't tally later on. We reached the hotel late, couldn't enjoy the lunch as we had to hurry since it was closing time. The bathtub was running dirty water and it was repaired in the morning when we had to leave. Checkout timing was 12 but we were told to checkout at 9 reason being seaplane timings. Even after we told that we are ready to take the risk, they didn't arrange or even try get us a different seaplane. They gave us a hope that something could be done about it but they said it was what they had informed earlier in the morning. It felt like they just wanted to drag us out of the room as soon as possible. We ordered a drink at night but it was not delivered. Everything was very very dissatisfying. I felt like it was a waste of my energy and money. And the trust such a group of hotel management should maintain with the customer was dusted. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are sweet talkers but very hostile and business minded. Not a genuine host.

“Very great services!”
We went there for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Beautiful scene, right over the water and very romantic. Staff was very attentive and went extra mile to ensure you enjoyed the trip. Food was great, amazing view and sunset. One small suggestion: would love to have more activities for night life

“Wouldn't recommend ”
It took us almost an hour to reach to centara grand from airport and we expected better support and hospitality from staff. I requested a water villa with shallow water in well advance but reservation did not honor the request. The front desk refused to provide me life tube knowing that we dint know swimming and water flow at my villa was dangerous. The buffet had limited food options. The island was small and had limited amenities. I wouldn't recommend staying in Centara Grand.

“Just amazing!”
Spent 5 nights at the resort. First experience in Maldives and it was amazing. Staff members were extremely helpful, thanks a lot to Belle and Noor for taking care of check in process. Rooms and amenities were great! Housekeeping was good too. Overall an amazing experience and would definitely recommend the resort.

“Fantastic hotel and facilities ”
We really enjoyed our stay in the water villa but it was sadly too windy and too sunny (no shade) to fully enjoy it. We changed to a family villa on the other side of the island half way through our stay and was so much better! The beach is pristine with lots beautiful fish! The housekeeping went the extra mile by making our bed look lovely for our arrival on both water villa and family villa and were always on top of keeping it clean. The reception staff (specially the supervisor) were attentive and helpful with everything we needed. We took 3 of the trips and were able to swim with manta rays And a whale shark but I must say that the whale shark tours were a bit disappointing because they were always incredible busy with over 20 speedboats all around us chasing for whale sharks even when we were swimming (boats from other hotels). It was a big chase to get to see a whale shark , the many boats would scare them away and sadly this hotel boat wasn’t fast enough to reach them because they don’t own a speedboat like the others. Besides that, everything was absolutely wonderful and we had a great holiday!

I loved my family beach villa with pool, the snorkelling , the beach, the food (buffet) , the housekeeping staff were spot on and the reception staff were very helpful when I needed. I would recommend and definitely return!

“Excellent experience!”
Excellent location. Very pretty water villas, very well maintained resort. Great house reef, excellent snorkeling even for beginners...one can see every possible reef fish variety here. Excellent following of covid related safety protocols. Really appreciate it. Many thanks to all staff who are very pleasant, friendly, helpful. They made our experience all the more enjoyable. Special mention of Mr. Happy, Ms. Neng at Azure Mare, the Italian restaurant. Delectable Italian cuisine by Chef Mr. Ajay...one of the best pastas, pizzas, awesome bread dips. Super experience! We would rate the Italian food much higher than any restaurant in Mumbai or Singapore. Many thanks for such a lovely experience! The Thai restaurant is also great with very nice staff. Superb diving class activities.. my first discover scuba class with Mr. Ali was a great experience.

“Cancelled”
My booking was confirmed and my payment was made. But the resort cancelled my booking last minute(late evening) leaving us stranded with the immigration officers till late in the night with no money or booking ...horrible experience ...especially after paying USD 3150

“Paradise”
We had the most amazing time during our stay! Had some trouble regarding the type of room we booked in the Agoda.com website and the type of room they wanted to give us, so please DOUBLE CHECK that before you go (I did it, so I had all the trouble - BIG ONE - while I was at home and not over there). And even when they agreed to give us the room we payed for, they didn't allow us to have access to THE CLUB, despite we had the right. So just be really carefull about that! But anyway... after we arrived there, it was PARADISE! The suite is just AMAZING! The swimming pool and the sea are INCREDIBLE! The nature you see just going down the stairs is unbelievable! The service is great anywhere you go! The drinks and barman are great! The food is good (not amazing, but I guess a kind of food it would please anyone). Beautiful restaurant over the water. We dive, so we did it everyday and it was AMAZING! PLEASE DIVE THERE!

“Nice place, good service but far”
I traveling alone for my private relaxing, I stayed in Ocean Deluxe villa which is quite good view and quite, more activites and many restaurants at the hotel, food is ok but not excellent, but hotel is too far and I spent time a lot for traveling go and back.

For the travel time, true Maldives logistics is sometimes not understood by travelers as not briefed by booking agents or guest miss the details listed. We always recommend if coming for a short trip then best to choose resorts close to Male accessed by Speed Boat as the Sea Plane or Domestic flights add additional travel time. In saying that lots of travelers choose the resorts further away as they are more exclusive and private from all the sea traffic. Honestly all depends on your personal travel preferences. the staff are friendly and helpful. the food is fantastic but choices of dinner buffet is not good enough. Thai and italian restaurant are very nice but you have to make booking in advance. overall is a memorable experience and i will definitely come back again.

The staff was really friendly and the transportation arrangement was nice. It is suggested to book most of the itineraries ahead to enjoy the most of time in the resort. The food is nice, especially the Thai and Italian restaurant. The ocean reef was magnificent, was hoping for encountering the whale shark though... But the resort is more geared toward Chinese guests and family travelers, so if you like otherwise, may be wise to select another one.

“Excellent view and staff”
The island view is amazing and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The pre-arrange activity and dinning was match to our need and preferred. the Staff always trying their best to help, especially during the activity arrangement. The transfer organized resort is awesome too.

“Excellent package”
Transfer from Male airport to the resort was smooth, the resort arranged for the domestic flight and speedboat. The resort is very beautifully build and the water surrounding the resort was crystal clear with wildlife roaming around such as shark and stingray. Room is large with king size bed and full amenities, very luxury and comfortable. Meals are all inclusive and prebooking is require for preference of food type Drinks at bar are inclusive and will never feel thirsty. Many facilities such as water sports and excursions to keep occupied All the staffs were friendly and ready to help. Will definitely come back for the next trip.

“最高!”
We have been staying in Centara Grand for 6 nights. Decided on an upgrade to a Sunset Water Villa upon arrival which is the perfect decision. The villa was located in the middle of all with splendid sunset views everday. Morning water is crystal blue and clear where you can see variety of sea animals when snorkeling around or even when looking down from the villa. All inclusive plan is spectacular. There are not much options in Maldives providing this. Cruises and watersports activities are included so you would never find it bored there. The food is of high quality and you would not need to add any money to add on unless you want barbecue seafood. Love the lamb chops from the italian rest.Only shortside is that the Teppanyaki is not that good (esp the steak). Overall, I would recommend this resort to families. It might not be a best option for couples as most of the guests there are families and there are a lot of babies and kids, we do not find that as a concern though as a couple.

“Paradise!”
Excellent villas, food, facilities, activities and service! Truly a paradise! We enjoyed every moment when we were there. We stayed in the beach pool villa as the water villas were booked out. We were not disappointed. The villa was huge with 2 bathrooms and the beach was fairly private with spectacular views of the sunrise. The villa looked exactly like the photos- new and clean. Excellent spread of food and service at the Reef restaurant. The Italian, Thai, and Teppanyaki restaurants were worth trying too. We enjoyed the activities and paid extra to go for a diving trip to the Manta Point. It was the best decision ever! Our dive instructor Lan was excellent, he took care of us and helped us capture professional photos with our gopro. We made bookings for the activities and restaurants before we went, there was no problem at all. Would definitely recommend Centara Grand and we can't wait to go back again!

“Overall Good Experience”
It was an overall good experience however, there could be a few improvements. It seems like the phrase of the weekend was “its chargeable”. Two major things that can be improved upon is room service and the check-out process. I am already paying a lot of money for an “Ultra All-Inclusive” however, I was not able to order room service without being charged. We are a captive audience on the island and there is no possible way for me to get any type of food once the buffet is shut down. With an all-inclusive resort, I would expect some type of late night options for food. The check-out process was easy however, after you check out at noon, everything is chargeable. Again, this was disappointing and poor customer service. In my opinion, if my sea plane does not come for another few hours after I check out, I would have to pay a premium on food and drinks when this is supposed to be “Ultra All-Inclusive”.

“Honeymoon at Centara”
My husband and I had the best Maldives experience at the ocean view water villa. The villa view was magnificent and made better soaking in the infinity pool watching the sunset. Upon arrival at the villa, we had a 4D3N activities already pre-booked in order for us for the best experience in Centara. There is also a free 30min spa daily but has to be pre-arranged when checking in at the villa. We managed to try all the different cuisine at the restaurants many thanks to the staff. Also, we did the whale shark snorkeling and island snorkeling. There are complimentary bottles of red/white wines you can order to your villa daily as well. Our overall experience at Centara was truly awesome and will definitely recommend to our friends and family!

“update to previous review”
Have to update a previous review describing difficulty making lunch and dinner reservatioňs. Within 24 hrs of my review a manager approached our breakfast table apologizing for our experience. He personally assured us that we not have any further issues, which we did not and were able to enjoy restaurant quality meals in differing venues. One other thing must be mentioned. The employee's truly enjoy their work and openly greet you when passing on walk ways. Definitely impressed during our time in a pristine facility. Thank you, Centara.
