Great location, host was friendly upon check in and even showed us around. Shared bathrooms were accessible and very clean but water heating system on the second level could be improved. Rooms were very clean and we had a great sleep there. Definitely recommended.

The staff and owner are very friendly ! Nice and clean place to stay !
Pro-nice location Cons- if u bring Along your car please beliau aware of road closing in front of them hotel
Very charming place, had a beautiful room with a lovely window. Very welcoming host. However it isn't a quiet place. There are 2 mosques nearby, 5am prayers, which sets off the dogs nearby and then the shops roll up their shutters and scooter traffic starts. If noise isn't an issue, I am particularly sensitive to it, then it's really a great place. All the heritage places will have the same problem.
I highly recommend staying at the Armenian House. It is a wonderfully atmospheric heritage house that has been nicely restored.. It keeps the feel of a historic building while still having all of the modern touches including very fast wifi. It is extremely well maintained and very clean. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. This place really can't be beat for value or overall quality.
Only fan noise can be annoying. The cost of rooms maybe allow to install a normal fan downstairs not ancient one?
This place is near to many famous street arts at Penang. Bicycle rental shops are right in front of the door. There is also a massage shop that opens until midnight 12am, situated right beside a 24hrs convenience store. Bus shop is within 10mins walk. However, do note that nearby shops closed early and the street turns very quiet as early as 8pm. If you are looking for night activities and a more lively street, I would recommend hotels along Jalan Penang road. Facilities here are limited but sufficient. There is free wifi and you can do your laundry at an additional cost. The lady boss is friendly and helpful too!
For RM180 a night, there is no shampoo, no facial tissue, no TV and guests are asked to take off their shoes. Terrible experience.
we love staying at Armenian House. The welcome is friendly and for the price the rooms are comfortable and breezy. The location is central in Georgetown and great for exploring the area
Nice
Nice with valuable price
Great
Clean room, bed good shape, lady owner very helpful and stay there. Good value. Very good location for local attractions.
If coming from the airport, be sure to tell your taxi driver exactly where it is. There is Armenian Place, Armenian Hotel and Armenian House. When I arrived, it was locked at all lights were out. It looked like it was closed down. I went next door and asked the lady next door to call. When the owner arrived she was apologetic and very friendly. I would recommend staying here. The cafe interior is nice and airy, a good place to do some laptop work if that's your thing. The room is quite small but thankfully it has windows (can't say that about many in Penang) that open wide, giving you some air and space. There is no wardrobe or closet. Just a bed, two nightstands and a coat rack. Bed is very comfortable, shared shower has great pressure. During the day hours there is a rhythmic, low-frequency hum of electricity from the cafe. I didn't mind, but it may annoy some. Location is perfect. Right in the heart of the tourist area but it's very quiet, as the rooms are set back from the street.
Perfect location right in the heart of George Town. Khim the owner was so knowledgeable and welcoming. The room was super clean and we had the best nights sleep in Asia! The shared bathroom was immaculate all the time too so we didn't mind sharing. The welcome drink and use of the washing machine just topped it off! I can't recommend this place more... a truly wonderful place to stay!!!!
This is one of the nicest places I have stayed in for a whaile for the money. It is located in the heart of Georgetown located on Jalan Armenian. The building is over 200 years old and a lovely period property with a coffee shop underneath. The owner was such a lovely person whio made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us a life back to the bus station the morning we left. The rooms/shower blocks are so clean and you have spacious rooms with air con....def worth staying here.
It was a great stay. In the middle of Georgetown within a few minutes walk to the ferry station as well to the bus terminal it's a perfect spot to check the heritage area of Georgetown out. The host is a super friendly and open person. The helped me a lot with getting around and finding good food places. The room was comfortable and clean. Same goes for the shared bathrooms. I can highly recommend the place.

It's great and clean and Khim is super friendly. Would go back any time and would definitely recommend.
The owner was so helpful
good locations
clean and tidy. nearby to all the mural arts, and Pokemon Stops~ very basic facilities
The staff were very friendly and location of the place within walking distance to key attractions
Not very good value for money but nice enough just for the night
Extremely lovely family run this place. The hotel is very clean, cozy and the location is pefect.
Our stay was perfect. The location in Georgetown is perfect for exploring. The Armenian house is a great stay. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff are very friendly, personable and made us at home. We'd love to return in the future.
We stayed in the family room and it has a simple but comfy layout. There are toilets and a basin for guests at 2nd but showers are shared at 1st floor..small shower space but love the water pressure. Overall a typical simple guesthouse yet clean and comfy. Recommended.
It was a comfortable stay. The location is right in the heart of georgetown.
Overall experience were great, the shared bathroom were convenient for families with young children. The room was cozy, the street was quiet during weekday. We had a wonderful time stayed at Armenian house.
Our stay was ok. It would be great if there's mini fridge in the room. Drinking water bottles only provided in the first day which we stayed for 3D2N.
The stay was pleasant enough, but I hadn't noticed when I made the booking that the Standard Twin Attached Bathroom is without a window. What it did have was an extra space which the owners call a balcony, which to me was an indoor utility area with a low ceiling, several air holes and wooden windows. We would have liked some natural ventilation in the room, but mosquitoes found us soon after we left the door between the room and the 'balcony' open. So we felt a little imprisoned in the tiny room. The room took two long flights of steep, narrow and potentially slippery staircases to get to, which was a little inconvenient. Perhaps I should have known with the 2-star rating, that the hotel isn't manned after 6pm. We were given keys to let ourselves into the hotel after a George Town Fest performance which ended near midnight. It didn't feel exactly safe, as the area got very quiet by that time. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I had checked with them before making the booking that I would be traveling with two very young adults. They did not mind us squeezing into a room for two. We thought that 11am is rather unusual for checkout, and should have been communicated when we checked in.
We enjoyed our three day stay. The hotel is in the middle of it all. The staff were warm and helpful, and the rooms and shared bathroom were acceptably clean. It's an old building, which lends to its charm, but also causes noise and vibration from guests in other rooms and hall. Likely, this is a fact of life in all the similarly situated hotels in the historic buildings of GT.
the overall experience was awesome
A perfect blend of location, friendly staff and ambiance that was perfect for my stay. I got a lot of writing done in my room, yet still had time to get out and explore the city because the location and advice given by the staff was perfect. Recommend it unreservedly. 我爱普通话 Wǒ ài pǔtōnghuà,
Overall good. If bedroom with bathroom price not so expensive will be better
Loved it so much, we stayed two weeks! Armenian House is a hotel and cafe in an old Chinese shophouse (so it has a lot of character). The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are super comfy! The location is great too - close to Little India and there is a hawker center just down Armenian Street where you can get a buffet breakfast for less than 7 ringgit per person (suitable for vegetarians too!). The staff is so friendly and always smiled and greeted us when we got back. We would highly recommend Armenian House for any stay in Georgetown!
Recommend this hotel for the price, location and service. Owner very friendly and helpful. Excellence location. Room is simple, clean and comfortable.
Beautiful heritage house Good location. Near to downtown Owners r really nice and helpful Wanna come again !!! Worth to stay !!
we stayed only one night, but we came back to sit and relax after walking again and again just feel like stay at home.
Five nights at Armenian in the middle of the best area in town. A lot to see, lots of cafees and restaurant and a huge amount of nice people around. Khim and her staff made an excellent atmosphere inside the new-old hotel.
Very well located in George Town, room is basic but clean and comfortable, shared bathroom is also clean with a washing machine that can be used free of charge. The only minus would be the very thin walls, so inconsiderate neighbours stomping through the hall, slamming doors or making lots of noise can be quite annoying. But overall we had a lovely stay here
Love it, they have the best massage service ever
Had a great stay, very good home stay. Bathrooms are separated though. Everything was great but the walk between rooms are too thin...
“Very good location to stay”
Its stay in center of old streets. If you dont mind the noise, this is the good choice for you.
