“centralized area”

Bad. Cos room have no Window although it's for executive. Such a poor design.

Not that pleasent but its value for money if one is not fussy about room size and surrounding. Its good for late check in cause ypu donot bother of the hotel state of surrounding condition. Unfortunately there were no breakfast serve eventhough my booking rate was inclusive of breakfast

when i checked in, i found some grease on the floor. i thought that was cleaning liquid, but it was not. i do not know what kind of grease was that. i wipe the floor with some tissue.then i wash my feet. the good thing is it is within walking distance to batam hill mall, about 1 km or slightly more.

“Worst experience, never return to this Hotel ”

I checked into the Hotel Grand Palace Batam on 8 Aug 2013 and was told by the receptionist that they have yet received any payment from Agoda despite I had made payment promptly to Agoda. The receptionist insisted that I had to make payment for the amount of 390,000 IDR before they allow me to check-in. The hotel receptionist issued me with a receipt no: 8457 for the said amount, but there were two mistakes which I noticed only after I had checked out: 1) the name on the receipt is not my name it was for 'Sheng Fant Cheo' 2) the date was 7 Aug 2013 The receptionist had gave to me another person's receipt after I handed him the money which he demanded. This being the case, Agoda must not make payment to this hotel but to refund the amount of SGD 56.91 (USD 44.76) to me. Kindly verify and let me have you response soonest. The service of this hotel is beyond believe: 1. There was no room available when I check in at 4.15pm 2. The receptionist insisted that I should pay for upgrade which I declined and had to wait for an hour 3. The water supply was disrupted twice (i) while i was brushing my teeth at about 9.10 pm (ii) and in the middle of my shower at about 11.05 am 4. Breakfast which should be ready by 7am, started serving one piece of toast with butter and a cup of coffee at about 8.35 am 5. There were some small centipedes coming out of the sink waste 6. I cannot confirm that the hotel receptionist is honest by insisting me to pay when I had already made prompt payment to Agoda. I am recommending that Agoda take this hotel out of their listing to avoid unhappy customers that can affect the service of Agoda Thank you Laurence Chen

“dirty wall and leaking celling”

Not good not clean, celling leaking from drianage pipe. I dont recomend it sorry Cockroaches is every room we transfer from another same.

The Hotel's Location was good , it was just very near Nagoya Hill . Staff were very friendly and accommodating . The Hotel's price was very affordable and easy acces to public transportation .

Superior room is much better then the standard with only $2 difference. The Aircon works much better and the room is slightly bigger. Walking distance from all the major pubs at NED. Lucy's is just opposite. Call for Blue Bird taxi, they are Metered taxi in batam/Nagoya area.

Front desk lady was best i have experienced , if you are solo traveller or group of guys there soley for nightlife this is the place to stay , very low cost , no surprises on check out , no joiner fees ( Guest friendly ) , they will arrange room massage to your tastes , good restauarant mostly local dishes , quite , basic but I would say 2-3 star , 100 metres to the best night bars on Island , no issues

“Fantastic Hotel - Good Service”

It was great hotel under budget category. The reception arranged us the rooms earlier than the check in time without extra cost. The place is very closer to all the shopping malls, pubs and night clubs you can visit in Nagoya. You can have a good and cheap taxi service from the front desk. No need to call for outside taxis. But, the breakfast and lunch is very late and our lunch didn't come at all. Except the food, everything else we are most satisfied.

“The location is near to the drainer and small room”

The room is too small, smelly, the cover bed looks dull. The wifi just can be get in a lobby.

Only if you are very tight on budget, have no other options, I would suggest to stay there. Room is small, very old, sheets doesn't look clean, and no hot shower. Receptionist looked confused and almost rejected my stay, but I suppose this was partly my fault for not printing it due to no access to print at that time.

the hotel is located in the nagoya shopping district...great location....rooms were reasonably clean.the airconditioning needs servicing,its very stuffy and warm. the counter staffs were friendly,the hotel coul do a lot better if they keep thier rooms clean and the Aircon in good condition.The mini bar fridge was not also working.

Basically no complaint except for few power trips during my stay..I book for superior room but end up the room is not what it suppose to be..and a weird thing that level 2 have a wifi excess but not level 3..?

“horible - woese hotel i ever come across”

This is the worse Hotel i ever come across upon check in we were given room keys for both room. upon entering the room filthy smelly... dirty bedsheets... previous users left over every where cigar hole on bed cover... the main door has no lock...returning to reception counter complaint and request to change the room ... shown different rooms but the condition are the same..Then shown a room called executive room almost similar except there is a table and chair with tv and window...with no choice 4 of us squeezed in one room and checked out for another hotel instead of two nites.

It is located not too far from Batam city center, and the rates are just very economic. It also has good and cheap room service. You can order various foods direct from your room via telephone. Taxi can be ordered at the front desk.

the name of this hotel so grand, but reality this hotel is not like that..this hotel very nice and great location.this hotel near with pub and bar (near panorama regeny hotel).i really like this hotel service.

near a river and shopping mall. old and simple hotel. the counter staff could not speaak english(for english speakers, it would be a big problem). breakfast is provided. not recommend this place for single female.

“It smells bad”

The bedsheet have a lot of holes on it. The towels are so old and discolored that you may not want to use it. The linens too are old and doesn't smell good that we never used them. The air inside the room made me feel I am inside a room with a lot of smokers. We don't smoke but you can breathe cigarette residue. They must have provide air freshener to get rid of the smell left by customers. The tv does not have a remote. The cabinet is so dirty you may not want to place your things there. The provide complimentary drinking water but the package is dusty already. In short, they should have been cleaning their rooms well.

“Not bad hotel for budget travelers or back packer”

For budget travelers or back packers it is convenient to stay. Though I’d requested non-smoking room, it was stench actually, so a hotel staff sprayed to erase the smell. Hotel staffs are slow to work, but their attitude is attentive to understand our request. In front of the hotel, always taxi or bike taxi drivers are awaiting for the guests catching. Fare is negotiable, but to the main shopping center, Nagoya-hill from a hotel is one way about 20,000Rp for about 10 minutes. I Recommend you should check at front desk before riding. From Nagoya-hill to hotel is more expensive like 30,000-40,000Rp told by the staffs of shopping center. You could be negotiated to discount. Volume of complimentary breakfast is very small, but you can go for a walk for 5 minutes from the hotel to eat if you are not satisfied. Night life or Karaoke is located just 30 seconds away from the hotel. Money changer is located just across the street and reliable. As a budget traveler, I will return to this hotel next time, too.

Layanan petugas amat baik dan peramah. Sangat sesuai bagi mereka yang mahu mencari bajet hotel dan lokasi berhampiran dengan kawasan beli-belah.
