“Worst Experience in my life”

The Hotel Location is very good but The Hotel is very bad conditioned as per Mumbai Environment. You have to carry the The Bottle full of water if you use toilet. Water Supply is very Bad. Any time you go to toilet you have to ring to the reception for Water supply with the EPBAX System which is not working Properly. Please carry your Mobile with handsome balance to contact reception. Hotel Staff is good but management is worst. Cleanliness is not at any level. Bathroom is too dirty and small same as room. Anyways I want suggest anyone.

“Pathetic state of Hotel ”

I was shocked to see the condition of the hotel.I have never felt so disgusted before. The hotel is a old house converted in to a hotel. Seepage issues, dirty room, stained walls, broken electrical points, much grose than sleeping in a railway station. Staff was helpful. But they couldn’t do much about the experience as state of that hotel is so bad. I would request Agoda to check Hotel background before listing them on your site. It spoils your brand image too. Wrost experience ever!!!!

beautiful picture on internet staff were friendly location excellent. it is cheapest hotel in that location but infact the condition hotel is ,i have one word terrible. it should be totally renovated rightaway or closed.

This is to update for the feedback Jc charlet Mumbai. Booked Two room via your APP booking Id 254218229. We have been misguided by the pictures & details mentioned by you. None of the pictures were matching the reality. The hotel is a shady place to live not at all 3 star standard as mentioned. Hygiene and basic cleaning is not maintained. Overall hotel, Rooms, passage, bathroom all dirty & dusty. Mosquitoes were full. Faulty curtains. Broken shelfs in bathroom. Room and Bathroom size was so small that even one person cant fit. Dirty towel, bed cover and no amenities. Receptionist is rude and careless. Like take it or leave it type. Overall it was a mental harassment to stay even for one night that too being female. We checked in late in night and checked out early in morning today already. I would like you to take necessary action to update your app for the right details about hotel, so that other Travellers shouldn’t go through the same experience as we did. Also at the same time would like to get the refund for this cheat & harassment. Hope you will be arranging the full refund along with compensation for mental trauma we have gone through

“Feedback on JC Chalet hotel”

The most horrible place one can expect to be in is JC Chalet Juhu. The rooms were full of mosquitoes. Bed linen dirty and soiled from previous owners. Beds in bad shape and broken. Staff half sleepy and dragging themselves to assist. It looked to me more as a cheap place to be. Agoda did a wonderful job to reimburse me out of their pocket for the money I paid to the hotel. When I spoke to the owner they refused to give me the refund and that irritated me all the more.

I could bear the smell and dirt for more than 30 mins, ended up checking out and wasting money. Don't think I will use this app anymore. Inspite of complaint no positive response.

NOT PROVIDED: Mini bar, bathrobe, paper, coffee/tea, fridge (working), in-room safe, daily housekeeping. PLUS: A dirty toilet, smelly mouldy grimy bathroom, unswept unclean floors, small dirty floor towel given as personal towel. Overbearing staff. No key for my room. Need I say more? Left after 2 days, paid for 14!

I paid amount in advance but i was not stayed there room is like looked since many years there was some bad smells in room very bad experience

It was sad to see the state JC Chalet is now. When I had visited the hotel a few years back, it was fabulous. All the interior is now rotter because of water leakage, interior equipments like basin / such things are broken.

The building is dirty, in a very bad condition. The rooms are very very small, no cupboard, nothing, no place to keep your clothes. The bathroom is dirty, stinks and it is full of bugs (spiders, mosquitos), etc. There is no room cleaning. Bedsheets and towels are dirty and broken. I left the place earlier even after having payed in advance. HORRIBLE. The room was supposed to be a good one, 2nd flood. (201) It is NOT EVEN ok.

There were some hidden charges which was not told during the booking. Booked for 3 persons. Extra bed charge was taken but not given. Rooms were so tiny. Overall just waste of money.

Though the staff is good but the hotel is disappointing. Bathrooms are in bad condition with fixtures almost dropping. In one of the rooms, the bathroom door was not opening but the staff was courteous enough to get the room changed. There is no hotwater available in bathrooms. You need to tell the reception to arrange and they supply hotwater buckets. The linen were dirty and it appeared as if the hotel has not been painted for ages.

You should not advertise as a boutique hotel, it is more like a cockroach dwelling. Nothing clean or related to a hotel

Don't go to this place, it' dirty and the personel is bad roi. The bedsheets were dirty and we found cockroachs on the floor.

We decided to stay here as they had airport drop included, however when we arrived they said that is not included! The hotel was ok, but definitely not worth the money! You could barely open the shower door, luckily we are both slim so it wasn't a problem. The breakfast was unusual, we had something that tasted like sugary breadcrumbs! The restaurant has a list on the wall of over 20 rules; for example no chatting!!! Room service says it's available 24hours but we tried to order food at around 6pm and were told we had to wait until 7pm. The wait was worth it was the chicken tikka roll was to die for! However the price was extortionate! The location is good, close to the beach and cafes.

“Not ideal for Western people”

If you are a very experienced traveler and back packer, then it may be OK. If you take your wife along, then I recommend to look elsewhere. They are friendly but the infrastructure is limited. WiFi speed is limited... (just OK for Emails) but never for a VPN.

Nice hotel. It's actually home turned into a hotel. But, maintained nicely. Toilets are clean. Staff is friendly.

“False pics and completely run down condition”

This hotel is in a complete run down condition. We booked three rooms for 2 nights but had to leave before spending 5 minutes in the property. Worst part is that they have put glorified pics where the real state of the property was completely different. Even after that they refused to refund the money and I had to click all pictures and send to Scoda customer care. Hope it will be refunded.

The only good thing about the hotel is that its in Juhu and in a convenient location. But even for a 3 star its not upto the mark. Its dirty, smelly and filthy and the pictures are an illusion as the rooms are smaller than what can be seen online. I would never stay here again.

“Tiny room and tinniest bathroom I have ever seen !”

I was surprised to see such tiny room. Bathroom was a nightmare. There was not a single cupboard to hang clothes. The safe for keeping money was placed under the bed. Under trained staff. The desk manager took 15 mins to print my food bill. None of the hotel attendants had simple courtesy to wish Good morning or evening (theses are basic qualities of hospitality business staff).

“Good Value for your Money”

The rooms are small, the breakfast was simple and there is no restaurant in the hotel. But the prices are fine and you get the value for what you pay. Airport drop was inclusive and Juhu Beach wt mas near. So there is nothing to complain. Absoulutly recommandable if you don't want to pay more.

The hotel rooms are quite small and rooms are bit old. Its not worth the money we paid, only good thing is : its centrally located in the heart of the city, close by juhu beach and lot of pubs are around. Last but not least they food too was pale which was served Thanks Kailash K

“Cheap means you get exactly that”

I would not recommend anyone to stay at the JC Chalet. Better to stay in a different location if cost is the criteria of selecting this property. Rooms are "tiny". Explanation given that they are like "European" Rooms. Location is the only thing that is good, rest I would seriously try other options. Breakfast spread is tiny - Eggs, Poha, Tea/Coffee, Juice - More Continental than anything else with Toast being just hot bread. Rooms appear a bit seedy as well, with blue light behind the bed and in the bath, def gives me a different feel, maybe Im different! Its marketed as a Boutique hotel, but I seriouslly dont think theres anything boutique feeling about it - the pictures definintely are deceptive! Read the reviews on another first before choosin!

“Average”

I don't think I'll ever use this hotel in the future. The room was so congested there was hardly any space to walk around the bed. The bathroom lighting was poor. Breakfast was noting to shout about. On two occasions I was given stale bread with green and yellow stuff growing. Bad housekeeping; room was left undone until late in the evening and that too after my return back to the hotel.

Enjoyed my stay in jc chalet. Very nice location close to all amenities. Hotel staff was supportive and responsive. No lift available as it is a boutique hotel but wonderful n helpful staff so no to worry re luggage carrying or for any help.
