“Waste of money”
Location is far from mandir. Cleanliness is there but not much facilities e.g. restaurant was not working, staff behaviour not very welcoming, dental etc kit not provided. You can opt for other options in same pricing.

“Worst Experience !!!”
The very first moment we entered for check-in, we experienced bad vibes from the reception, untidy room, Mattress is do hard and not comfortable, no utilities in the restroom. Staffs are rude and not punctual. This hotel is actually 3.4km from temple.

“I wouldn't stay there again!!!”
I booked 3 rooms for my family and myself. 1) Mosquitos, 1st disappointment was mosquitos. Mosquitos were welcoming us in all 3 rooms I booked. 2) Wifi: Very slow in all 3 rooms 3) Training to house Keeping staff: They don't understand the word 'clean', staff washed the toilet with their bare hands and changed the bedsheets and pillowcases after that without washing their hands. 4) Cleanliness: never take off your pillowcases unless you want to see the white pillows covered in really browny stuff. Can't even think about it. 5) Restaurant: although the food is not bad, they serve hot contents such as tea/coffee in cheap plastic cups. They need to understand that the hot content in those cheap plastic cups is the root cause of cancer. I paid the price of 3 start hotels to stay there but it doesn't even meet the standard of two stars. Wouldn't recommend

“Good Place to stay”
Except for having Mosquitoes in the room and the fact that you dont get any food past 10pm, all was good. We booked the Suite type room and it was very spacious. They forgot to provide the Small Foot Towel in front of the bathroom.

Everything is good, but restaurant should have been there at least for coffee and tea. We need to go some 3km for coffee. Tv free channel only was there, no paid channel.

I had stayed in the hotel two-three months before and had a good experience that why i booked again with family, but the experience wasn't pleasant. We booked two executive rooms for the family, in my room the washroom tap didn't have lever to operate, the washroom ceiling and the room wall was dirty. The listing says a number of things which were not provided. I wonder if it was an executive room that was given to us. The buffet breakfast was cold, i had to shout at the staff and the manager after which they heated the breakfast but we had already eaten by then. The hotel has convenient location.

“Good Hotel but awful location”
Hotel Sree Devi is quite far from the Meenakshi Temple about 10mins by rick. By rick they would demand 100INR one way. The hotel is adjacent to the railway track and was noisy. The hotel itself was clean & the breakfast was good. So if you are okay not to bother about the distance from the temple & the location, you may go for it.

“No second look”
Hotel building looks new. The room was of okay size. The housekeeping staff were good. But the major problem was attitude of the reception desk. Anything you want is greeted with a negative response. You come late in the night, get up a little late, go for complimentary breakfast. They will tell you, not possible. You book a room for three, pay for an extra bed but they will not give you three water bottles. You extend your stay, make online payment, they will verify but will not change the linen. Everyday room cleaning is not in their scheme of things. The cupboard has only one clothes hanger! The location of the hotel is nondescript. Its front neighbour. The window opens to a motor garage. There is no exhaust fan in the washroom.

Located 2 kms from temple. Not easy to identify due to flyover next to hotel. Map can help you. Friendly staff and nice morning breakfast. Room was small but was ok for one night. Ample parking place and well maintained hotel.

Hotel was hidden and cannot be seen from the Main road, our driver took a while with help of locals to locate it. Room rate was reasonable. Breakfast was acceptable. However, we did not like their bathroom as the shower head was weirdly located/installed and the spray-head was not working in our room. Had to use water from the pail (provided) for our bath/shower. Since we stayed only 1 night, it was okay for the slight inconvenience.

“Good Place To Stay In Madurai”
Hotel is good and totally value for money. Slight issue with location but if you are traveling with a local guide / Driver then it's not a issue. It's a well known hotel in the City. Another minor issue was with staff specially room service guys related to language. As I was not a local language speaker so find it tough to communicate with them in English or Hindi. Rest everything was good.

“Excellent staff”
In times of crises, staff went out of the way to help me. Used their mobile phones to make emergency airticket changes and a number of local calls. Updated me promptly on messages from the airlines agency. Staff are really good !Decent breakfast too

Food was very good. Staff were friendly and polite. Compact room. If the flyover wasn't built at the front, the hotel would have been easily accessible. It wasn't difficult though. One of the best at this price.

“Good deal. Ok location.”
It's a little out of the way from the temple madness, but that's not a bad thing, really. Not much around there other than local neighborhoods, so you'll have to get an auto to go to other sites. The dining staff was the highlight of my visit here. They where very polite and attentive and made good suggestions on the menu. A little pricey, but the breakfast buffet was good and they worked together as a team to make it very comfortable when the power went out during one of the meals. One of the staff members at the front desk was kind of rude and getting service at the room took multiple reminders every time I made a request for room service or even just asking for bottled water. He even suggested an expensive taxi service and frowned upon me when I said I was going to look for a more affordable rate. He complained that I wouldn't find one cheaper, and in less than 10 min. of making some calls, I found a great driver at 3/4 of the price. So other than that guy, it was a great!

“Great staff at the restaurant. Mediocre at front desk.”
Pros: Clean, courteous staff for the most part. The restaurant was very professional and made for a pleasant dining experience. It was a little pricey, but they worked as a team to serve you and made great efforts to attend and make you comfortable, even during a power outage, that to me, it was worth the price. The South Indian dishes where the best. Cons: Some, not all, of the front desk staff was not very helpful and a bit rude. Took many times to request towels or water before getting a response. Their taxi recommendations where very expensive and I was frowned upon and discourage to look for other services. I found a great and affordable taxi service in spite of his discouragement in less than 10 min of making a few calls to compare rates.

Had good stay, Mr Rajesh, Reception Manager who was very courteous...called him before we started from Hyderabad and he arranged cab for family to visit temples...food is excellent here especially morning breakfast was widespread and delicious. Will definitely recommend to stay here...5 Stars for room and service...

more Indian than western but very good. The hotel is right in front of a bridge, so it is not a cute area where it is located and it is a bit far from the temples.

“Would probably pay more next time”
The Hotel is nice, staff is very helpful. Unfortunately no wifi in the rooms (sometimes some texts go through), faster wifi only in the reception area. Breakfast was delicious.

“Value for money ”
We had two nights stay in this hotel , and really enjoyed. Air con worked very well in the extreme heat . Staff were friendly and helpful , great value for money. In-house restaurant could have been much better..definitely will stay again and would recommend.

“Very good hotel to stay in Madurai.”
Hotel is very good. Staffs are also helpful. Cleanliness is superb. But only disappointing thing was its location. It is situated just below a fly over which es difficult to locate. Not in the center of market place. Vehicles will be required to go the destination e.g. Meenakshi Temple. Entrance road to hotel is narrow. Parking place of the hotel is not sufficient.

“Good hotel but bit out of main city centre”
Auto rickshaw and taxis are not familiar with the address. No restaurant nearby except the in house restaurant.

I was made to pay an additional amount of Rs 472/- because the Agoda communication to the hotel said I was travelling alone! Why would anyone book two double bedrooms in the same name? However, fortunately I had booked another property on the same day and same time on Agoda website in Rameswaram, and it communicated correctly the number of passengers as two instead of one, in each room. The occupancy is always two unless otherwise specifically mentioned. I did not mention that it was single occupancy. So I demand a refund of the amount I was made to cough up, speaking nothing about the embarrassment I had to undergo in front of my friend and his family who were travelling with us. Please do dyne same immediately!

Everything was good. Only thing the room had an unpleasantness smell. Maybe it was not used for quite some time. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay

Hotel location is good. Rooms are much smaller to accommodate extra bed. Staff is very courteous, and food is very good
