“Love the space, friendly staff & location”

Pro: Very accommodative to our need as family who has young one (9 years old) and senior (above 65). Very efficient check in and out. Love the space, cleanliness, location and very friendly staff!

Staff entered our room our last morning while we were at breakfast, not to clean but to smoke. We came back into the room to the strong smell of cigarette smoke, the curtains had been opened and the window was ajar. I assume they thought we had already checked out.

Hotel service was excellent but we were allocated to room that facing the sun, rather warm during our 2 nights stayed. My best best guess was booking htrough Agoda will get not so good rooms. Fortunately, aircond is available.

I booked a room at the Maritim because my car broke down in Berlin and I was stranded for the night. The hotel was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed my stay there. The fantastic staff helped ease what was a stressful situation for me.

“classy hotel”

Maritim is a lovely hotel. We chose the location for proximity to the Berlin Philharmonie. One drawback: not many restaurants/coffeeshops nearby, and the hotel is a bit expensive (breakfast buffet- 25 Euros). It seems to be more of a business hotel.

Location a bit far from the main attraction to get on a hop -on -hop off bus. You need a taxi to get to city center.

“Excellent hotel in Berlin”

Great hotel with very friendly staff who were helpful in so many ways. Lovely spa area and decor throughout hotel was gorgeous. One down side is that the location is not that central- however I would happily go back and stay there again as I think all the benefits outweigh this.

“Very nice hotel ”

Pros , nice hotel and very big , rooms and beds were very nice and comfortable. Cons breakfast and drinks were very expensive 25 € for a child to eat breakfast is over the top and beers were around 6.5€ . Gym was very small and anymore than 3 people would make it over crowded.

“Great hotel close to the Brandenburg gate”

My friends and I came to this hotel straight from a stay in a 5 star hotel. We expected it not to be as nice but we were pleasantly surprised. The lobby, the staff we met and our room were all exceptional. If absolutely stay here again. The only slightly negative comments I have are that the WiFi was very poor. Potentially this was just our room but all three of us ended up not using it. Secondly, the pool area is a little small. We planned to go down for a couple of hours one evening to read after a swim but we all came back to the room as there are very few comfortable seats to relax on. Neither of these things would stop me staying here again as I thought it was closer to a 5 star than a 4 star.

“A good hotel despite of the location”

I needed to stay somewhere close to the Berlin Philharmonic and this was the best option on the dates I was looking for. It's located on a quite street, a few minutes walk to bus stations, but there was always taxis waiting at the entrance. No restaurants with in 5 minutes walk except for the hotel restaurant (and closed on one of the days i stayed ) and the bar which offers only very limited choices of food. The room is spacious and clean, staff very friendly and the price is very reasonable as well. It is good for business travellers but less so for pure tourists.

“Great, but could be better”

Had a really good stay at the Maritim during the Berlinale. Conveniently located, very good and spacious room, really good staff. Few minuses were the Wifi. Wifi is terrible (some sub-saharan hotel would definitely have better internet). Use to get signal only near the door and was excruciatingly slow. Apart from that a really good experience.

“Anyone for nachos??”

Stayed at Maritim for 4 days over the end of September. When checking in, the clerk up-sold us a 'VIP' room with 'VIP' perks which included food in a VIP room. He quoted an amount which we understood to be the total cost of this "perk" but it turned out to be the daily cost, so we ended up having to pay 4 times as much as we expected. Despite the advertised closing time of the VIP room as 10pm, when we went there at 9.40 we were refused entry as they were closed, and we couldn't even get a glass of water. We went to the 'VIP' room again the next day...waited almost an hour for a sandwich, and when we complained, we were rudely told by the waiter that it was not his fault as 'he could not control the kitchen'. We tried the next day to get some cheesy nachos and after an hour we left! We walked to the Mexican at Potsdamer Platz, and timed the service...it took 3 (yes THREE) minutes from placing our order to receiving our cheesy nachos! So, yes, a nice hotel...as long as you're not hungry!!!

Super hotel technically Staff for 2* hotel I tried 10 times to arrange stay for our 4 rooms during ITB, to pay breakfasts in advance no answer to my email requests On check out receptionist wanted to charge 50 EUR more

The staff were eager to cater to every need and delivered on their promises. Perfect service with a great hotel, that is very classy and luxurious.

Better than expected. Attended a function with 740 delegates; It never felt overcrowded and the service despite so many people in attendance was excellent.

“Memorable Berlin”

Very good as the room was large and the staff were helpful. The location was fantastic-it provided access to the Tiergarten for lengthy walks to the Victory monument and the Soviet Memorial and the many other great locations such as the Bundestag, the Jewish memorial, the Sini and Roma memorial (quite moving),the Brandenburg gate, and the most remarkable perhaps of all The Topography of Terror monument and museum-not to be missed. The Sony Centre was nearby as was the Church "St Matthews"-near the art galleries, the church where the German pastors Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Rienhold Niemoller were ordained. This Hotel is well placed.

“Nice Hotel ”

It was all good except for one thing which seriously upset me . My room 3121 was above a courtyard from where the delivery lorries come and go. I was woken at 0600 hours by a horrendous noise and this went on intermittently untill 0730 when I have to get up anyway !

I did not had breakfast as I founf it too expensive for the small food i need in the morning. I also did not take dinner in the hotel, so can not judge.

Likes: Room size, Bathroom size, Breakfast, Staff was friendly, Hotel was clean. Dislikes: No fett content mentioned on the milk in the breakfast room, only one type of milk, T.V. in the room must be 30 years old, big fat box t.v. which is not aligned in the center of the bed, Reqeusted room next o the lift, but they gave me almost end of the corridor, cheap toiletries in the bathroom, the main towel was tooooooo small and cheap quality.

“Mediocre at best”

The hotel is at least a fifteen minute walk to major attractions and basic amenities e.g. supermarkets. There are no amenities near the hotel. Room was underheated given it was winter. When the issue was raised, I was asked to just turn down the fan. Mattresses and pillows were too soft.

It was a nice hotel with value for money and is centrally located to any tourist attractions. Breakfast is superb!

Nice hotel decorated in art deco style. Room was quiet big, & very nice. Hotel is close to downtown area, it has a business feel. A bus stop is very close and it was very convenient point reach Tegel. Great bar. Very friendly staff. Location, in the kultur area and a 10 min walk to potsdamer station.

“Good Location but not up to standard service”

service is very bad but good hotel in concept, I had a very strange incidence, my room was given to another guest wile i was in my bathroom having my shower! the front disk were kind and they up grade me to a suit as a sorry gift from there side but he mistake was too much to take, although there mistake was too big but they are the best in the hotel if i'll compare them to the restaurant staff, they are the worse among any other hotel even, only 1 good out of 5 ! it is good hotel by location and clean as well but the service is the worse.

So many mistakes by staff ,, 1st my room by mistake was given also to another guest and he opened my room wile I was having my shower, but the front office staff & managment up grade my room as an apology to suit & that was very good & in general they are better than the rest. 2nd restaurant staff are the worse among all hotels I've stayed in & I'm a very frequent traveller They are on general very bad and safely I would say 1 out of 5 is good, the problem is that staff supervisor is the worse! So if I should rate this hotel ,, it's good hotel with good location & front disk staff but service among all other hotel facilities is extremely bad

Very nice room and close to downtown area. A bus stop is very close and it was very convenient to come from and go to Tegel. But it was annoying that I needed to go through ballroom area where they had food outside to get to my room. Overall nice hotel, though.

the hotel is located in a very central area of the city, which makes for an easy walk to some of the best attractions berlin has to offer. the hotel itself is fairly nice, though unspectacular. the exercise facilities are nice, yet quite small, while the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the staff were all very friendly and helpful, which made for an overall very comfortable stay. definitely a good choice given the level of comfort and the prime location.

“New Year at the Maritim Hotel, Berllin”

we booked 4 nights over new year, we arrived before midday and allowed into our room immediately, despite check in being after 3 pm. we were pleased with the room, clean, spacious, plenty wardrobe space. the mini bar is expensive, good touch with the underfloor heating in bathroom. used the swimming pool on one occasion, good size and not that busy. situation of the hotel is a bit out of the way, you need to walk 10 mins before you reach amenities at potsdamer platz. our major issue with the hotel was that they woudnt exchange our scottish sterling, claiming that they could only take english sterling. there was a cash point in the hotel, but have not checked yet how much this cost. overall pleased with the hotel, but would, if revisiting Berlin would stay somewhere less remote

“Good place for relax”

This is a good place for relax with family or conference. The location is a little bit far from main train station ~ 10 mins walk. Not so easy to take bus to here if you are first time to visit Berlin. However, the hotel have a high standard of services. The room is quite big and very clean with enough facilities. Good breakfast and lunch provided.

前台服務員態度不佳，我單身女子他們給我尾房，然後我要求換房間，但她沒有查看其他房間便立即說滿房！然後我再說明天我有朋友訂了房，可否給我預留同一層或就近我隔離房間，她就沒有，只有4樓及六樓有空房！

베를린 필하모니 공연을 보기 위해 혼자 여행 가신 엄마를 위해 예약했어요. 베를린필에서 가장 가까운 호텔이더라구요. 공원이 가까워서 엄마가 정말 좋아하셨고, 후기를 쓰는 이유는 그들의 완벽한 서비스를 칭찬하기 위해서입니다. 체크아웃날, 기차 시간이 바빠 보증금을 못 받고 돌아오셨는데 메일을 보내니 아주 정중하게 사과를 하며 반환해주었습니다. 엄마는 보증금을 현금으로 지불하셨고, 영수증을 깜빡하신 상태였어요. 영수증이 없다면 사실 호텔에서도 보증금을 주기 힘든 상황일수도 있는데, 잘 체크를 해두었는지 응대를 빠르고 친절하게 해주었습니다. 정말 감사합니다.

메리어트 호텔이라 믿고 선택했다. 완벽한 시설과 서비스를 제공받았다. 관광을 다니기에는 위치/교통이 조금 애매했던 것이 유일한 단점으로 생각된다.

위치적인 면에서는 역에서 도보로 18분 정도로 조금 아쉬웠지만 많이 먼 것은 아닙니다 그 외의 모든 조건 위생상태 침구 온수 서비스 등은 아주 훌륭해요 특히 친구가 너무 마음에 듭니다

<장점> -조식 괜찮음 -청소 상태 양호 -편안한 객실 침구 -주위에 대사관, 필하모니홀 등이 있어서 대체로 조용한 거리의 분위기, 유해하지 않은 분위기 -티어가르텐 공원이 가까이 있어 산책, 아이들 놀이터 이용 양호 -200번 버스 이용하여 여러 관광지 다니기에 편리했음.(그러나 주요 관광지와는 거리가 있는 편임.) <단점> -주위에 물을 살 수 있는 마트나 편의점이 없고 식당도 거의 없음. 다른 곳에서 먹거나 사서 들고 숙소로 가야 함. <참고> -2023년 8월, 저희가 머문 룸은 밤에 조용하였으나 정문 바닥공사를 하고 있었고 주위에도 공사를 하고 있는 건물 등이 있어서 가는 시기에 따라 공사 소음이 있을 수도 있겠음. -직원들의 친절도는 직원에 따라 달랐으나 이 정도면 괜찮다고 생각함. -룸 청소를 아침 일찍 하는 것으로 보임.(단점- 조식 먹고 왔더니 그 사이 청소 중이었음. 장점-청소를 일찍 해서 인지 일찍 갔음에도 체크인을 빨리 해주었음.) -베를린을 방문할 일이 또 생긴다면 다시 이용할 생각이 있음.
