Nice hostel in a very good area. The staff is nice but they don’t speak English, yet they try to help as much as they can. I would def stay again
location is perfect. close to many popular locations
This hostel is located in the center of Nan Luo Gu Xiang which is a famous Hutong and Walking street in Beijing. My Room condition and lounge on the first floor is a bit run down , facilities should be repaired to its original use conditions. Many flies crawl on the outside wall of guest room on the first floor. However, staff is nice and help us in what ever they can. Staff cannot speak English, therefore Google Translator will be on your side. Free drinking hot water. Restaurant/Coffee shop opens and closes late. Hostel entrance door is a small green door on Yuer Hutong street, not Restaurant entrance on Nan Luo Gu Xiang street. If you prefer the location, this place may be a choice.

The stay was not bad
Suitable for solo traveler, excellent location, worth the price 👍
The hostel is situated right inside the 南锣鼓巷, just at the corner of Yu Er alley (Yu Er Hutong). The entrance of the hostel is not quite visible, just have to keep a lookout of a green wooden door covered with plants and flowers. It is about 200m walk to Nan Lou Gu Xiang metro station. There are so many shops and eateries at that area. A nice charming street to stay at and visit.
The hostel is in the middle of a Hutong and walking distance (5 min) from the subway. There's a lot of shops and restaurants nearby and a cozy bar attached to the hostel. The only problem was with the air conditioner, it wasn't working fine but maybe it's just for one room but overall a nice stay, although an expensive one! :D
Just get a normal hotel. The other guests were cool, but the staff were pretty rude and they didn't clean the rooms or bathrooms well. It was disgusting. Don't waste your money here.
Cute place to stay if you’re traveling by yourself. Rooms are bit smaller than I expected but clean. It’s same for bathroom facilities. Budget wise it seemed quite overpriced. The only thing is their door sign is so small that I couldn’t see.
1 kamar ber-enam Per orang Rp 850.000 Lebih mahal dari hostel di Amrik dan eropa
If you are staying for few days in Beijing, this has a perfect location. Staff are accommodating and nice as well.
I like the location of the hostel. However, he bed is a bit too hard for my liking and the air con is a bit too warm for summer weather.
the best hostel in beijing that i found. will stay here again. very near to metro & in middle of street with lot of foods & stuff. the female staff is so nice.
nice hostel in the heart of an old part of town.. very close to attractions and convenient. lots of eateries around... and some very famous landmarks. they also have a pretty cafe.
The shared bathrooms and showers for dorms are disturbingly NOT clean and a disgrace! While the staff is courteous and friendly, the whole place just doesn’t seem to care about creating a clean and comfortable environment for travelers. I don’t believe the owner understands what a hostel is and should provide or has much experiences staying at hostels around the world, or frankly cares. After spending a month traveling in Japan where it’s UBER clean, I was shocked and disappointed at the contrast here. It’s not just this one hostel, I searched and simply couldn’t find ANY hostel at reasonable price/value ratio in central Beijing :-(
Hostel is at a great location. The female dorm was clean and had a window and AC, as well as lockers, and a hairdryer. Small commonly space with sofas. However, it didn't necessarily have the typical hostel vibe, and I only saw/ talked to the girls staying in my room. Staff didn't speak much English but were Friendly and we could communicate with translation app.
overall the rooms were really nice and clean, mattresses a bit hard (for my taste), friendly staff, but unfortunately communicating with them was only possible through a translation app :/
Our experience in this hotel is exceptional. The staffs are friendly. The place is welcoming. A lot of foreigners. They have rooftop place to chill. The room is homy.
Staff was very helpful to foreigners and gave me check time for 4 pm, usually the checkout time is 12 pm
We had a wonderful stay. We extended it by 2 days and the staff were very helpful and moved our packed bags to the new room for us. It is right in the heart of a popular street, easy stroll to the metro. Will stay again :)
The location is very convenient to go around the city. The staff is super friendly.
We loved our stay here! The family was so kind bringing us freshly picked apricots and she prepared one of the most delicious eggplant dishes we’ve ever eaten in our lives. Very accessible to the Great Wall. Incredible!
Location was fantastic!
Love the whole environment of this hostel Sufficient space, clean, great location, very helpful staffs Just note the shared toilet and the flight of steps one need to take to 2nd floor so If you have big pc luggage you may want to check if they have avail on first floor. Otherwise the staff can also lend a hand Will definitely stay here again the next time I pop into beijing
Excellent value! My experience is based on 6-bed male dormitory. The street right next to the hostel is known for night life. Nearby attractions are enough to justify minimum of 4 nights in my opinion. The place is full of flowers and plants. The rooftop terrace is a garden; good for relaxation. You will like it.
Staff is super nice and very helpful. Location is very close to subway and right near the Hutong commercial area, but still very quiet. Rooms are comfortable and clean. For the price I would expect in-room fridge and proper drinking water filter in the common area.
The room is quite small. but the location is perfect if you have limited time to explore other places in Beijing. Very helpful staff as well.
The whole hostel is adorable. Flowers and plants everywhere, smells nice all the time. The restaurant downstairs is a bit pricy, so venture out for local food if you're on a budget - it's located in the middle of "snack street" so you won't have to walk far! Super clean, comfortable bed, chill common areas. Here is my only complaint. I booked the 2-bed dorm, but it felt like a much larger 6-bed dorm. The 2 bed room is actually INSIDE a shared larger room/ unit with the 4-bed girls room, and the bathroom is shared with them as well. The walls are paper-thin, you can hear *everything*. The door to the shared unit is also SO LOUD - it woke all of us up every time someone came in or out, which was often. I feel like advertising this as a 2-bed room was a misleading. I still had a pleasant experience, I just wish the room had been advertised correctly. I also recommend that the hostel adds overhead lighting to the 2-bed girls room and to the shower - it's hard to shower in the dark!
Thumbs up for great location, clean hotel. Except I had faced little communication difficulties with their staffs while contacting them using emails. They seemed don't understand what I want to say. Lastly, the provided mattress is stiff and hard.
Warm and cosy in the heart of winter. Staff (bespectacled girl with short hair) was extremely helpful. Hot and cold water available for drinking in common area with lovely flowers . Note that only two toilets (mixed gender) are available in the entire hostel for dorms. Location is excellent and always crowded before 11pm.
I loved staying at this hostel. The staff, facilities and service was great. It’s located right in the centre of a hutong which is very convenient for exploring the area (beware the crowds) and a few hundred meters from a subway station. I found everything here that I needed for a first time stay in Beijing. Make sure you take your own soap.
The hostel is in a center of a hutong and is a walking distance from a metro line which makes it easier to navigate around the city.
Actually inside a chic restaurant. Right in the middle of Nanluoguxiang which is a trendy hutong that opens till quite late. Also somewhat near pubs at beihai. Possible to walk to Jingshan park. Very near subway. Staff is nice as help me charge batteries when I couldn't check in yet (cos too early). My upper bunk bed is a little shaky.
It's my 2nd time in this hotel. The 1st one i didn't get to stay long just an overnyt so i hadn't explore the hotel. The good things about the hotel is 1) staff at lobby speaks english. We booked 2 private rooms. We arrived early at 12:30pm & good thing the 1room was already ready for us. You will need to deposit 100 RMB for the key & it will be returned to u upon checking out. 2) the hotel is just a few mins from nanluoguxiang station exit E. You will see the hotel at the left but it's their restaurant so u have to enter on the side door which doesn't look like a hotel door. Looks like a house gate with no big sign of hotel's name. 3) It's along the street where lots of shopping and eating can be done. Meanwhile the negative of this hotel is that 1) It doesn't have an elevator so if u have an xl luggage like ours, u will have to carry it on the stairs which is narrow and about 20 steps i think, & the staff won't help you. 2) don't expect much from the room. It doesn't have a light ceiling so the only light will be coming from the big window and the study lamps on each table. The only free that we get was 2 bottles of water with electric heater for hot water. There are no free soaps or shampoos in the bathroom. With free tissues some new some already used i think bec it's already thin. The free slippers are rubber which are already in the room so i think the previous visitor also used it. No tv. 3) NO WIFI! Believe me! The first time 2yrs ago, i remember they had a wifi on the room. But as of today, the hotel staff said that the wifi is unstable. So no wifi on the room. My god! Good thing i have my own wifi from the PH. Even in their restaurant the wifi is unstable. I tell you, u won't be able to connect! 4) The hotel staffs are unfriendly. Due to our numerous luggage & handcarry we opted to get their car service for airport for 250 RMB. Our flight is at 2am. At first we told that the time we'll depart is 9am. Then after a while, we told if it can be revised
This hostel is located in a strategic place but it is not easy to spot it especially during the night time. Unable to access to the Wifi when you are in the room. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall OK except for the shared bathroom due to high capacity of usage. Highly recommended.
The hostel is located along Nan Luo Guxiang a few blocks away from the metro station and along a commercial hutong and adjacent to its own café - which is convenient as all your needs (e.g. food, transportation, shops) are within reach. A bit pricey compared to other hostels but the facilities were clean and okay. Beds are comfortable but I wish there'd be less of us (e.g. 4-6 persons) in a dorm room. Also the bathrooms and toilets are a wee bit small but they're fine. Good location and facilities overall.
The hostel is actually a Cafe cum Hostel, very unique combination, the best part is at the back of the Cafe, is where the hostel is and a new setting full with Flowers, loves the plants and flowers they smell amazing. The location is very good, if you are taking Subway Line 6 & 8, if I am not mistaken, but if you are taking Taxi or Didi like me, be prepared to walk lots. Walking at the middle of the night in late autumn is really a crazy idea! Sorry, I am from tropical country, so I can never get use to Beijing's weather: dry and cold weather. Overall, still I would loves to stay here again, as I have the best lower bunk-bed for the past 4 nights, very happy about it, but be aware of the size of the toilet and bathroom are very small.
Location excellent if you like to be in the midst of hustle-bustle. Was a little busy and too commercial for us. Lovely cafe/interiors and staff generally nice but bed was very uncomfortable!
the hostel is cozy and the staff are friendly.
feel very comfortable and cozy !!
Good location and the staff is very chill and helpful. Price is a little high IMO and toilets are a bit smelly. Still a solid choice for Beijing
Very clean, superb location in South Lou Alley. Very nice atmosphere that they use many fresh & dried flowers to decorate the whole hostel. I had another stay at another airbnb house in my trip, I would say this hostel is even cleaner than that airbnb house. highly recommend!
This hostel is a perfect choice for backpackers who want to fully enjoy their stay in Beijing. It is very conveniently located at 5 minutes walking distance from Nanluoguxiang metro station along the homonymous street which is one of the most beautiful alleys in the city and a very busy street food spot at night. The staff is kind and helpful, and speaks good English. The dorms are spacious and clean, with nice showers and toilets. Its pretty expensive compared to other hostels in China, but the atmosphere and the location are really fantastic!
The staff here are lovely, and it's easy to get stuff like laundry done that can be a nightmare elsewhere. The decor of the communal areas is very nice. It's also only a short walk from a metro station. However, it's in a super touristy area (renovated hutong) and on weekends it's hard to even get down the street! Also, I'm not sure what happened with the room but mine was NOTHING like the light and airy, 32-sqm dorm in the photos! It was claustrophobic with almost no natural light. Despite how sweet the staff are, I think this place is way overpriced for a hostel.
the hostel is near the lake that is reacheable by walking and the rooms are simple but clean. the staff speaks english very well and is very courteous
Hard to find location, it’s around the corner from the attached cafe that is visible from the bigger hutong. Taxis can’t access the hutong during the day (or night), so you must meet your taxi by Nanluogu station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Internet is spotty in the rooms. A very comfortable hostel stay on the whole.
hello Elena, very happy to see you liked our hostel, that's the right reason we keep the hostel neat and beautiful everyday, our small Hutong is more like a neighbor so the government want it have peace, sorry about that.
amazing location. Very helpful staff. Beautiful hostel, restaurant and flower shop.
in the middle of a trendy shopping district, close to metro and Back Bay area which is fun for nighttime. easy walk to forbidden city. restaurant downstairs is awesome with organic natural ingredients. rooftop deck with cafe. nice place
“I would stay again”
I Don’t have any complains. Nice place In a great location. Would stay again
