“Not updated ”
This is more like a motel. Not what I was expecting from a Ramada. Property is run down and needs maintenance. I booked an airport shuttle and when called from the airport they said there was no record and the shuttle was in service. So take a cab. No real power outlets to even charge a phone.

“Should not have the Ramada name”
The hotel is older but the problem is it was dirty. The sheets were stained. The tub had been spray painted to cover how old it is, the paint was peeling. The bath mat had mold growing in it. Some of the time in the bathroom was broken and there were huge clumps of hair caught in it. I wish I could up load pictures. I would not recommend it.

“Great stay”
Close to many amenities as well as friendly staff. Also due to a tour company staff at the hotel, i was able to take in some tourist sites

“When in Belize City ”
This property is comfortable and full service. While a bit dated the beds are comfortable and the food is quite tasty. The casino offers some fun during your stay- the staff is very professional and helpful.

“Great value ”
I read a few reviews about this hotel That we’re not very flattering. But my experience the staff were excellent. The room was absolutely sufficient for 100 Canadian night. Location was very good. But really made it was the staff and their knowledge of the area. Wouldn’t recommend it as a vacation destination, but definitely a great place to stop off if you’re only in city for a couple days.

We enjoyed our stay. Easy to walk to restaurants and the touristy spots. Note that there is a casino in property. Staff was great and very friendly. Breakfast buffet was also good.

Good base for Belize city. Walkable distance from bus station and water taxi. (With backpack). Older but not an issue..

“Worn and weary”
We chose the hotel to the location to the water taxi to the cays. The hotel lobby was decent, nice staff, and I heard from others that the casino is nice. But the room, particularly the bathroom, was really tired and worn. The dealbreaker was the room door had a 1/3 inch horizontal crack across the door - allowing outsiders a “peek inside” the rooms.. That’s unacceptable. Overall, I’m just going to avoid staying in Belize city..

“Would not recommend ”
It didn't feel clean, and after reading some reviews it also didn't feel safe. Pool area looks like it hasn't been kept up since it was made. Pros: good shower pressure Movie theater and casino if you're I to that. We won't be staying here again.

“Do not stay here”
The hotel is unclean, run down, and lots of the advertised facilities are not open or operational. The food in the restaurant wasn't great either. If you're expecting some kind of minimum brand standard from Ramada, you will not find it here

“Reviews are accurate”
I've stayed in the Golden Bay a few times and decided to give the Ramada a try. As I was reading the other reviews, they are pretty accurate. This property is perplexing to me in the total lack of upkeep. I suspect it was a very nice hotel back in the day - with a casino, restaurant, spa, etc. But, Ramada has let this building go to shambles. There are definitely areas that would require millions to renovate, but there are also very cheap, simple improvements that could be done. For example, my TV didn't work and the lights barely came on in the bathroom. The bathtub could be fixed with just a bit of caulk. Some simple clean-up techniques could remove old glue from the marble floor. These are pretty simple things to fix - I suspect the bulb was simply loose in the bathroom, and yet, it appears no one cares about this property at all. The pros are that it's in a nice location, beautiful views, staff is good and the pool looks very nice. That said, just know going in, you're entering a building that hasn't seen a paint brush or basic maintenance in a very long time. I'd stay again only if there was nothing else available.

“Needs a renovation, breakfast few options”
Although the attention was good and rooms are nice, all hotel needs a deep renovation. Restaurant is expensive and has few options. Breakfast is really bad, only bread and few more things. No good value.

“Too expensive for the quality ”
It is a outdated hotel, maybe from the eighties whitout improvements, for 50 euros it would be nice, for 70 or 80 it is overrated

“One night stay”
Very good rooms and hall. But it is all. The pool was dirty. The back side of the hotel Nd other spaces shows it is abandoned. May e the had a very difficult momnt during pandemy, but there are los of infrestructure demanding maintenance.

“No water, no power”
We stayed in the hotel for two nights and upon check-in they told us that that will not be power and water supply from 4 AM to 8 AM that was a cruiser time for us to go on sightsee. So on two days, we left the hotel with very difficulty and without shower for sightseeings (no bio calls during that time too)
