“Fantastic room ,great deck to have breaky on”

The bed was fantastic,the bathroom bright and clean ,loved the chairs great touch.best accom we've stayed in Tasmania so far

All hotels around Port Arthur are booked except this one which is an apartment style retreat about 15 minutes drive away. Overall it is good. Has everything you need. The cleanliness can be better esp the closets.

untrained staff though tried to be helpful - didn't know name of type of oysters on menu, or whether salmon was farmed, or availability of wine on own list. Very poor value accommodation for money - charging like a 4-5 star hotel for a 2.5 star.

“Alternative retreat ”

Quiet location. Ideal for visiting Port Arthur. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open. A pub and a restaurant down the road and an IGA. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but other guests were not happy with the promotional photos did not deliver.

“Nubeena folks were awesome”

Cheapest accommodation in our entire Tasmania trip. Awesome helpful owner. If you are in the area, must have your meals at Nubeena RSL, but only open on selected days. Nubeena folks were awesome.

Our second stay but this time the restaurant was closed for the winter. Don't blame them but my wife was really looking forward to the Thai dish she'd had the year before.

This is a Eco village and managed by a group of very nice people. The place is clean, tidy and they have got everything more than you need for a comfy vacation.

Staff were excellent, clean basic accommodation. Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it. Prices were very affordable. No complaints at all.

Went down to stay for an overnighter to visit Port Arthur decided to stay here based on price it was amazing. Ilan the owner was the nicest man he was very accomodating and gave Us a beautiful bowl of soup yum! Highly recommend staying here only improvement I would love to see is the pool refilled but water shortages won't allow. Spa looked and felt inviting but didn't use.

“Good stayover near Port Arthur”

A nice stay over near Port Arthur. No air-conditioning. Only heater. Have microwave and basic cutlery to do some simple cooking. Room is spacious enough. Wifi only 500MB per voucher. They do have on site restaurant. Order takeaway for my dinner and have to wait for 30 minutes. Very quiet place. Try not to use the water from the tap because the water has yellow tint. The hotel did provide two flasks of drinking water. The hotel supposed to have spa and swimming facilities that i never get the chance to use.

Good base in Tasman peninsula. Near Port Arthur historic site and Tasman peninsula walks. Has BBQ facilities for those opting to eat in. Has toaster, fridge etc. Having said that, the Hub Cafe was a pleasant surprise. Not just your normal country pub grub. Good quality. Will stay again

Stay was OK. Staff were friendly.But we couldn't drink the water. The boiled water and the tea tasted bad. Rooms looked like they haven't been used/ cleaned in awhile. Bit dusty and stuffy.

A pleasant surprise considering the room price. Cafe serves good food and room even has a microwave. Room window was working that and prompt service was given. Suitable for family retreat in a laid back and quiet environment.

“A suitable place for the Tasman Peninsula”

The meal was enjoyable, and we liked the idea that they were developing an Eco-village. However, the brochure did not mention any on-site treatment or recycling of the wastewater. Was this an oversight? The WiFi signal was poor — in places non-existent. The staff said that this might be because many people were using it. I don't think this was the case at 2 am.

“Second stay just as good as the first”

The stay was as good as the last. Have been there twice now and both stays have been good. The staff are always friendly and the rooms very clean. Have stayed in both motel and studio rooms and both are good for an overnight or extended stay. Will return again soon as a very convenient and cheap overnighter when fishing the local area.

Quiet comfortable stay in a warm room and very clean room. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Great location to the water, and surrounding beaches. Will be heading back soon. Restaurant was closed but rated it high as receptionist was more than helpful in pointing out surrounding restaurants and shops.

There were a few spider webs around the room and suggested the cleaning staff look up and also under when cleaning.

Quite good place to stay, free WIFI but weak signal (better than nothing). about 12km to Port Arthur but quite convenient because we drive. Friendly staff but they staff not really can provide travel information to us. She not familiar with all sightseeing spots around that area. Only few rooms were occupied but quiet. Indoor swimming pool, quite nice during winter.

I enjoyed a day stay so much I left Bicheno to Nubeena, we have long travel. Stay one night and easy to go Port Arthur for next day morning. I will definitely by back. Staff were all lovely and rooms very comfortable and relaxing. The restaurant are very decisious and feel very nice.

When we arrived on Christmas Day, nothing nearby were open... We just flew from Melbourne and we needed a meal. Ended up the motel restaurant was also closed, the staff were so kind to allow me and my wife to use their private kitchen and access all their food! We felt so warm. One staff / owner was particularly helpful and directed us the the Remarkable Cave, which I personally think is the nicest site I have been to in Tasmania.

This place is most definitely great value for money. The staff were very professional and helpful. The room was a good size, very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Location is terrific for us. Only a short drive away from Port Arthur. We had a really nice walk around the surrounding area and visited the goats in the back paddock. There is a tennis court, heated pool, spa and sauna which we didn't make use of but looked very appealing. The food in the restuarant was superb! Everything was cooked and presented beautifully! Tasted terrific and was an excellent value with low prices with quite a good variety of choices. We ate dinner here both nights. Didn't even think about going anywhere else.

“Natural with sea view”

A little bit far away from City but if you want to stay with natural, hill and sea, that is prefect, also it is also close to Port Aruther. Free wifi, helpful staff. Quiet vinicity.
