“Getting tired”
It's a great location for the ease of getting around the city. The facilities are getting really tired and they haven't reviewed what guests are saying since Covid hit in 2020. Love the comfy beds and the water pressure is excellent.

“Not a 4 stars hotel but it will do”
Renovated building with old fashion features such as no fan in bathroom, few plug ins, old style furniture, very poorly lit room and a small window. Clean and bed was ok.

For a one night stay the hotel was good. Room decor a bit tired. Check in late at night for 1 night was not easy. Had to ring for assistance but staff member was helpful.

“Feels like a prison ”
No atmosphere. If you don’t want to talk to anyone this could be the place. When booking in it’s all automated, no one in reception, just place your ID in the machine and away you go. If this is the way of the future I don’t like it

Never will you meet such lovely staff who seem happy to do their job of wonderful welcoming service. The hotel is in a very convenient location & the rooms are all you need. I’ll definitely be back if ever passing through Darwin again!

“Nice, but bland”
The self check in is a nice option, but there are no staff at all. The check in process is sterile. The rooms are OK, but again, lack any character. It’s a no frills experience.

“Not a bad spot to be in the centre of the pubs and clubs.”
Close to Coles and other shops and takeaways . Bit out of date furniture tv didn’t really work for us.. the whole place had a shinning movie vibe as it felt bit outdated but still not a bad spot if you want to be close to stores and pubs..

“Great Reception staff”
I really enjoy my whole stay experience with the hotel, especially I want to say thanks to the reception staff, Chris, in the morning. He is a wonderful and friendly staff. Chris is so helpful, because of him I would like to choose to stay in the Rydges again if I have my next travel in Darwin.

“Very good value”
Great location, close to cafes and bars. Lovely staff. Be careful of hidden costs though, such as extra for pets, including a five hundred dollar bond. Also parking is an extra 20 bucks daily. Apart from that, thoroughly recommended

“Disappointed”
If you are expecting high quality accommodation to match the price then think again. If you want your room serviced you have to ask. Beds are not comfortable and the facilities are run down and not maintained and not clean. Would give it a 2.5-3.0 star rating at most. Would not recommend

“Amazing value for money, best location, spotless clean”
Amazing value for money, best location, spotless clean, almost as new rooms and furniture. Facilities were lacking though, only one small pool in which you can't even swim. Staff was okay, but nothing special. However, probably the best hotel in terms of cleanliness and room I have ever been to. The cleaner ladies are nice and change your towels and shampoo etc. daily. You need to re-register for Internet everyday which is a bit silly. The air-conditioning temperature cannot be easily adjusted so my wife was too cold and we had to turn it off completely. And I was a bit hot. Still, probably best value for money in Darwin.

“GREAT LOCATION”
good location. walking distance to the waterfront. a 10-12 minutes taxi ride to cullen bay to watch the sunset and a hearty meal of fish fillet at La Beach. the best, hotel staff are friendly and helpful. housekeeping was good too during our stay. truly appreciated that our bed were our beds were turned down when we check-in at 1.00am.

“Lovely hotel”
It was a lovely hotel in a good location. Knowing we had a car hire, I deliberately chose this hotel as it advertised 'parking', but disappointed that we would have to pay $19 a day extra. Apparently all of Darwin has this, but as we were from the UK, would not know. Told at hotel is was valet parking only.

“Bad choice”
Book room with parking when I got there they said I had pay $19 to use it just once! I could not go in and out. Plus my booking was listed to beginning at 12 noon. She keep saying their rooms were not available until 2.pm. It wasn’t until I showed her my booking calander showing noon that she arranged for us to get the room. Terrible customer service she was so rude and not very helpful or accommodating.

“It was ok, but check in was not right.”
As I requested a early check in and agoda had for you to pick your check in time so i did but i could not check in until 2pm why choose a check in time if the hotel cannot deliver that was the only bad thing from this hotel

“The hotel is central located, convenient to every where.”
I was told by the reception that I needed to pay the car parking for $19.5 per day, not happy with this issue.

“Great value in central location”
Friendly staff and great hotel for a good price in a central locations. Rooms comfortable and clean with a great spot in the centre of the CBD. Walking distance to shopping, food and waterfront.

“Visit August 2018”
Location is hard to beat, but the CBD seems to taking a hit from the out of town shopping centres. Hotel is great for walking to local attractions like the Waterfront, Information Centre, Esplanade and Smith Street shops and restaurants. Local bus services ( 4 and 6) make it easy to get to Mindil Beach, Fannie Bay and beyond for as little as $3.00 return. Hotel is a little dated and has a bizarre Asian food court and Barber (!) ( not part of the hotel) in the main ground foyer. The swimming pool is adequate for a cooling dip, and the buffet breakfast is good value if you have a large appetite. overall reasonable value for the stay but there are probably nicer locations/hotels for a similar price.
