Absolutely fell in love with this place. The most friendly staff. 2 Minutes walk to local market and water taxis (around 3,5 baht one way) to cross river. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Bangkok.
Was one a best experience in Bangkok ! Really nice room in old Bangkok style, personnel really friendly and breakfast amazing view on the river :)))) highly recommended !!!!
The staff is so friendly and accommodating, the ferry is right around the corner, and there is a wonderful market right down the street.
Good if you would like to enjoy view of river . You should stay upstairs room which is facing river . Fantastic view especially at night . I was traveling with 92 years old monk . No lift as such the monk had a difficulty to to up and down .
Great small hotel on , only three rooms, in a quiet Thai neighborhood. Good local market just down the road and a small verandah - looking out on the river- that was perfect for a drink at night.
good place on river
good location
We did not stay here, they contacted us saying they were flooded and sent us to a different hotel. When we went by saw no evidence of flooding, suspect they were on vacation. Also booked 2 rooms, paid more for one than the other, they booked us into 2 equal rooms at the next hotel. please take us off this questioning
Pretty different experience compare to city hotel. Pampered by the sound of river and cozy market to shop and eat in walking distance. You prob would just want to take it easy there the whole day compare to beating yourself against the heat at JJ market...
Charming boutique hotel on the river front, small, cozy room with a river view and access to a common use terrace. The minuses are the old bed and its squeaky fragility and its neck hurting pillows. Adding the morning light and river sounds (boat engines, Chinese tour guides at full blast speakers, etc) you will be on your feet pretty quick.
Small hotel with only 3 rooms but very friendly staff and great view.
Very cost small hotel. Personal touch. Nice view of the river. Good transport links by using the pond that takes you across the Chao prays to the palace. From there you can take the expressbotes. Take a description in Thai because taxi drivers can't find the right address. It costs about 600 thb from the airport
Very nice view over the river in Bangkok city! It provides you an escape from the busy city! What an amazing place! The local market nearby offers you nice food and goods with very reasonable prices! If you want to have meals at a nicer place, a restaurant nearby can satisfy you! Staff are very friendly and helpful! They help me complete my susseccful proposal to my lovely lady! Thanks a lot! Thumbs up to the staff!
See Bangkok best way, by the river
We loved it. The view of the Grand Palace roof across the river. Watching all the boats. And the delightful hidden location. It is not 'smart' but it is unpretentious, comfortable, clean and delightfully different from most places you could find in a big city.
The staff were absolutely fantastic.. Friendly, welcoming and even waited up for us to get home. Breakfast was actually amazing to my surprise.. Poached eggs on toast cooked to perfection.. I was surprised.. We are on the balcony overlooking the river.. Beds were comfy and room was clean.
We had a wonderful stay in the Ibrik Resort. Even though there was heavy rain, our River room was entertainment enough itself. The two boys were very helpful and friendly and whenever we got a break in the weather we were able to get out and see the local sites thanks to their good advice and directions.
The genuine hospitality and attention to detail of the staff here, are second-to-none. As there are only 3 rooms, the hotel is peaceful after the noise of the city, and the river views from the windows and balconies are stunning. The decor is relaxing and comfortable, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. This hotel is located quite a way from the city centre, and the best way to and fro, is by ferry then by river boat, the last one of which, leaves Taksin Sathorn at 7pm, so if you intend to be in Town 'til late, you will have to catch a taxi. Remember to take the driver's instructions in Thai, with you, as the hotel is out of the way, and quite hard for them to find. Having said that, the buzzing Thai locale, where the Tourist is blissfully rare, is a fascinating market area: a real glimpse of the genuine Bangkok. For me, it made a welcome change from the frenetic pace, noise and commercialism of the city. On arrival, I was instantly made at home: my questions solicitously answered, and personal help and advice, were willingly given. In fact, I needed some special help with an important mail delivery, and the staff went way beyond the call of duty to advise and assist me. Moreover, they were happy to do so! Song and Ben were both superb, and the very best of hosts. Their genuine warmth, personal attention and standard of service, were perfect, which - as a single traveller - I especially appreciated.
So far so good , location a bit far to city , need to travel by express boat n BTS . But the local market there goods is selling in reasonable price. The hotel river room a bit noisy , the bed conditions also not so good , majority is o.k.
Our stay was fantastic! It's a little challenging to get downtown at night but it's worth it for the beautiful river views of the grand palace. Song was so incredibly helpful and the entire hotel was spotless. My only criticism is that It would be nice to have one large bureau to unpack clothes a little better.
This is a small hotel which is located within easy walking distance to some main attractions. Unfortunately it was not as easy to find. We chose this hotel because it is located near Thonburi train station which takes you to Kanchanaburi. Don't try walking, get a tuk tuk as things are not where they appear on maps. The rooms are small and a bit cluttered but the balcony outside the sunshine room is quite large and great to sit at night watching the boats. This is where they serve breakfast but it can get quite hot and if it rains there is not a lot of room inside. The hotel is old and is furnished accordingly so you are paying for the view and position on the rivrr. The staff are helpful but had a few problems communicating.
The river is wonderful whenever day or night. The staff is so keen to help and serve.
It was a really fantastic experience living in this hotel. The receptionist was of great help when I wanted to explore the city, giving me directions and making calls for me in Thai language. They even gave a map for free, very helpful! Another thing I like this hotel is its wooden bathtub (though it was really such a regret that it can't be filled full due to an opening made in the lower sections on the tub), and the porch was a perfect place to have a drink or two in the dawn or dusk, watching sun rise or sunset. Late at night, you can sit out on the porch sipping away at a bottle of drink, listening to the music and contemplating against the splashing sound of the waves, with moonlights shed on the surface of the river like a thin layer of gossamer. The moon seemed so near, as if it were just hanging over the horizon! And its breakfast was great as well! Though it was located in the old town area, it was nevertheless situated at a very advantageous place, with the Grand Palace just across the river, and the boat express about 5min walk from the hotel. On the road to the boat express, you actually walk through a local market, kind of like a bazaar, where a whole bunch of bric-a-bracs are available for you to choose (remember to bargain though!). All in all, I really enjoyed it, and I'd definitely recommend it to other people visiting there, especially couples.
Good location
Love the water location....nothing else like it short of boat. Small and personal.
We had a really wonderful stay at the Ibrik. The location was perfect with easy access to two ferry stops and it was fantastic being able to start and finish the day overlooking the river. We will certainly be recommending this to friends.
it is situated along the river and inside wang lang market. we stayed in sunshine room which is just on the river bed. because they have only three rooms, we felt so private. the staffs are nice. the in-room breakfast made us feel so special. the only bad thing is the noise from the boat tour along the river but some may find it charming and lively
This was a great place to stay as a solo traveler. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and the room felt like an oasis in the city. I loved the deck right off the room where I could watch the river traffic go by. It's also very close to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho and Wat Arun, just a few minutes by river boat which is a delightful way to travel. My favorite thing about Ibrik was the neighborhood, which is quiet and non-touristy. The temple at the end of the street is gorgeous, and frequented by neighbors and monks and friendly kids, not tourists. I enjoyed joining in the morning and evening services there. There is also a local market one block away with food and cheap, gorgeous clothes. Two restaurants right next door, both with outdoor decks to eat by the river. The closest is beautiful and upscale and relaxing, with mediocre food (I thought, after one meal); the second is dressed-down, family-owned, and the owners are friendly and take good care of you if you have a cold! I also enjoyed the breakfast on the deck. You decide the night before what you want (Western breakfast items) and what time. Halfway through breakfast they brought a bonus course of fresh mango. Really nice way to start the day. Also: the bed was supportive and comfortable, and the air conditioning welcome in the 98-degree heat. And there's a mini bar (non-alcoholic) in the room for convenient snacking. One thing to note: at night there are a lot of party cruise boats that go by, so if you go to bed early you'll hear music intermittently. I found this charming, but if you want a quieter room there's one that doesn't face the river (you can still hang out on the deck).
Muy buena
Super sejour ! Vue magnifique!
The atmosphere and location were perfect, the view was breathtaking
