“Warm and hospitable place”
We stayed at Alimara for two nights and the hotel was in a quiet residential place and accessible to the metro. The staff were very helpful- they spoke English and helped us with regard to the Metro card and location etc.

“Wedding ”
Had a wedding nearby so needed somewhere to stay the night. The staff were very helpful and provided me with an iron, and the hotel was a perfect place to come back after the wedding!

“Francis”
Fairly spacious hotel room at this price, 5 minutes walk to subway and local eateries. Room facilities are adequate but a bit old and banged up, sink is stained. Bath tub is one of the worse design I have seen, hand held shower head with only half glass curtain door !!

“Wonderful hotel, wonderful breakfast pastries ”
Alimara Hotel is situated near a Metro station and also walking distance to a supermarket, which can settle amenities needs. Although the metro station not the nearest to town but it's the best line that can get you to most places of attractions in less than half an hour. Only the journey from the airport is daunting, almost 30 over stations to cover over 2 lines. Barcelona is a wonderful city to visit but do seems to suffer from an influx of tourists from all over the world. Must visit the Gaudi Masterpieces all over the city!

“Lovely hotel located near subway station ”
Alimara Hotel Barcelona was a wonderful place to stay at, big room, lovely beds and wonderful water pressure. Breakfast was a good selection, albeit repetitive (we stayed 5 nights). The pastries were lovely, Paris was my 3rd European stop and the pastries here IMO were better than most Paris ones I tried. Hotel is located close to a supermarket Consum, just across the road. Wonderful food to be found in Barcelona and travel is an ease by purchasing an all day Hola card. However, Barcelona seems crowded with tourists but still a most wonderful experience, especially architecture wise Gaudi is a master who is worthy of his architecture legacy;

The location is good, it is near to the public transportation. The staffs are kind and friendly. The room is clean and the breakfast is good. Also the location is very peaceful. Worth it to stay.

“Amazing stay”
Receptionists were lovely and welcoming. We had a family room, super clean and fantastic balcony. AC worked super well. I liked that the location is away from noise. Highly recommended!

“Nice and comfortable stay”
The hotel is modern, comfortable, the rooms are well equipped and spacious. It is in a quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but in the immediate vicinity of the metro line L3, so that all the main sights are easily and quickly accessible. Excellent air conditioning day and night. The only complaint I have is about the wifi in the hotel, there were frequent interruptions in the signal and the inability to use it.

“Room for 3 adult”
The size is reasonable for 3 people but the Wi-Fi at higher floor is weak (we have 3 rooms, two at 9/f and one at 6/f) and we have another stay in 3/f so we can find the difference

Problem is encountered during check in. They said they cannot find my reservation and it takes a hour to capture my booking proof and confirmed booking email to them. After a hour, they find me a room which is equivalent to my original booking. The shelter at shower area has broken with a crack at the bottom, so water will leak to the floor outside the shower area; otherwise, the room is fine. The bathroom is too big as compared with the living room.

“Horrible ”
upon the check in we were treated in a very unpleasant way. Not a welcome not a greeting we were not given the information about hotel its properties I had to guess the floor on which is the room and we were not directed to the lift. We asked for a higher floor - we have a room on the first floor!!!! The offer on the website room service - there is none!! A la carte menu on the website - a buffet in reality. And since two days there is a huge cockroach in the middle of the hall right in the way to the lift!! It is NOT a 4* wuality!!!

“Nice Hotel”
Although it is not placed near the city centre, the metro station is very near to the hotel and you can reach all the city in no time. The place is clean and welcoming.

“Totally worth it”
at first we're kinda hesitant because of the location cause its far from the city center but after we arrive and stayed we are truly amazed. the cleanliness, atmosphere and vibe was on spot with garden view that is so relaxing that we dont mind the location anymore. rooms are big wifi connection speed is great, breakfast is also good. will definitely come back for more.

“Quiet, convenient & perfect location”
We had a lovely stay for 6 nights. Ideally located very near to the metro and a bus stop. The staff were attentive to all our requests and we appreciated the luggage storage on our last day. Good value for money with access to various other facilities such as the gym. Our only issue was the poor signal of WiFi in our room - we could otherwise connect in the reception area of the hotel. All in all, we would book here again on future visits to Barcelona.

“Barcelona stay”
Overall hotel services were okay however there AC wasn’t working properly which was a major negative point because of current weather, they provided a fan later on but I didn’t pay a lot of money for the fan. Their AC was below average if we compare it other hotels, this is a basic thing which you expect from a good hotel. Also there were no complementary water bottles which is again you expect from such level of hotel. Cleanliness was up to date but due to ac not working properly up to the mark I won’t recommend to stay in this hotel specially in July where the weather is very hot.

“I’m giving the review almost a year after. ”
This hotel is one of the best, not the best furniture and facilities, but definitely the best atmosphere i found ever in a hotel. Staff are nice, area is quiet, and of course it was 1 min walking away the metro station “mundet” I prefer it than a 5 stars hotel.

A/c not working for 2 nights. Complained on the 3rd day and had to be transferred to other rooms twice. Staff not considerate at all. The surrounding area also does smell bad and can come to the hotel.

“Outdated rooms”
Extra tax of 35 euros is taken because it is city tax and not disclosed before the booking! bathroom and shower is outdated! Shower towels are paper thin and small! It would be best for management to benchmark against other “ good hotels”! Only good thing is it is next to metro!

Stayed here many times for the Rock festival in Santa Coloma nice clean business type hotel with good staff and everything you need for a trip (Can get abit noisy in the evening so try get a front facing room.)

Although it is not located in center of city, it is quite convenient to tourist attractions, only few minutes walk from MRT station and there is a big supermarket nearby . Staff are nice , room is clean and tidy but the shower area is quite slippy. suggest to put a mat on it.

“Hotel Alimara”
The hotel was a good location in relation to the event I was attending. Although it is farther out from the City Center. Nevertheless, the Metro Station was very near (arnd 3min walk), so it was quite convenient to get to the downtown areas. I would not mind staying here again even if it is not located in the main city center. The neighborhood was very safe, and quiet which is a plus for me. It was well lit even during the evenings, there are a lot of playgrounds nearby so if you have kids this would be a plus as well. The staff could have been just a little bit more attentive and friendly. Overall the service was good and nothing to complain about. The shower enclosure system is something I did not like, and I wish they would install a better enclosure. Cleanliness in the room can still be improved, but I would rate it maybe 8 out of 10 for cleanliness.

“Poor facilities ”
Our stay at the hotel has been exhausting. The bathroom is full of mold and we have been without hot water on the third day of our stay. Although the weather is good, my elderly parents cannot tolerate the cold water. Additionally, the WiFi in our room is unstable.

“Good for the money”
I booked relatively late and this hotel was the best for its price. Similar hotels in the center were almost double the price. Although at the edge of the city, it's conveniently located right next to the metro and you can reach most central places in less than 20min. The room was.ckean and the bed good. A few minor touches here and there could be improved to look more luxurious but overall I was very satisfied

“Amazing hotel”
We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights during our stay in Barcelona. We liked the hotel a lot. The room was very nice and cleaned every day. The breakfast was also very good. The staff was quick and friendly. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, but there is a L3 metro line in literally 1 min walk distance, which takes you very quick to anywhere in the city center and all famous places. Totally recommend!

“A Good Compromise”
A comfortable, modern Hotel on the northern outskirts of Barcelona. Far away from all the sights and City facilities but half the price of inner city Hotels. This means travelling to see the sights but Barcelona has an excellent and extensive Metro train system that is well signed, easy to use and cheaper and quicker to get around than other alternatives. Mundet Metro station is a short walk from Alimara Hotel and takes you to the Gothic Quarter in 18 minutes. Staying at Alimara Hotel was a very acceptable compromise as we saved money on the accom cost and had a very cheap and efficient way to get to see all the sights.

“Goed verblijf ”
We hebbben dit geboekt voor een city trip.. de locatie was zeer goed op nog geen 200 m een metro station met een metro recht naar het centrum.. Qua restaurant raad ik het niet aan.. we zijn de eerste avond hier gaan eten omdat we laat waren toe gekomen en dit was absoluut niet speciaal… Ook hadden we last van de verbouwingen in de kamer langs ons.. we zijn dit gaan melden en we hebben meteen een andere kamer gekregen dit was super!
