“Holiday in beautiful Samal”
A quiet relaxing spot right on the ocean. Swimming at the beach or in the pool is great. Lots of fish if you like snorkeling in shallow calm waters. Good Filipino food available to purchase on site daily with simple meals at very reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay!

“Nice hotel for vacation”
Nice swimming pool and has access to the beach. Quiet and not so crowded especially on weekdays. Breakfast is available. Always book here for swimming and short vacation.

Unhelpful staff. No variations available to limited menu options. Restaurant closed at 5pm, well before most would have dinner. Breakfast not included. Remote location with no other options for dining nearby. No wifi in the rooms, only the lobby. Beach front and pool area very nice.

“It is all here, Relax.”
My Favorite place to visit in Davao is Oceanview. Peaceful beach and pool, great food at marina side restaurant. And relaxing in the lobby café overlooking the water is mesmerizing. I bring my family here at least once a year.

They dont provide toiletries, only soap is available in the room. They did not clean the room and change beddings and towels on our 2nd night. They did not refill the water on 2nd night. No near convenient store to buy things not available inside the resort. Their restaurant is just outside kitchen covered by tents.

Oceanview needs to specify to guests that they need to bring their own utensils, drinking glasses, personal hygiene necessities, etc No wifi & phone inside the room, you have to go out to the reception area to have access. Globe signal is very weak The room is spacious, view is stunning, the whole place is quiet.

The only restaurant is very slow and lousy. Don’t drink the water they give you as it gave 3 of us food poisoning. Our breakfast was served late anonly after we went to inquire where it was. Then it was served cold. Very little in the room, not even an electric kettle.

“Great for Staycations with the family”
It was a last minute booking. And the resort just had about everything tired and weary guests needed after being cooped up for two and a half hours at the Mae Wess Ferry Terminal. I like the peace and quiet the resort offers. Not to mention the sights and sounds that are conducive for relaxation. For $60 you get a clean and spacious room; access to the pool and beach; and wide open space to explore with your kids. The resort is kid friendly too and the food is affordable. If you want to filter out all the noise of city life and relax in the suburbs, this is the place to be.

Excelent place and accomodation big room, very nice pool and ocean, good views at the balcony super nice. but no telephone at the room and for room service meal no plating just paper plate and paper box take out.

“Decent for it's price”
I didn't come into the establishment expecting much, so I wasn't disappointed. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Place was clean. The view, the ambience, and the environment was absolutely amazing though. Just wish there were more amenities though. The Sari-Sari store and other avenues to purchase snacks is kind of far. We had to walk through through an inclined road just to buy some snacks. I can see myself coming back here again.

“no sunset, no sunrise, location in a hole”
all emergency exits duct taped shut, be prepared for an attempted extortion for addition money from staff that watch you like a prisoner. Reports of kidnappings and excutions at this place. They are after every peso they can get without justification. You can not walk out of steep compound, will require a car or powerful motorbike.

“Private and small”
Price - We thought booking a month ahead and booking in agoda would save us money but it is more expensive even with the % off it advertised 👎👎. Room is just for 2500 + free breakfast. Payed 3300 with no free breakfast. Facilities - For room, it is clean and like a studio type apartment and has a balcony. Indicated we preferred to have a double bed, but they still gave us a 2 twins and just told us to push it together. Only soap is provided, no free shampoo/toothbrush etc so make sure to bring your own. No wifi, and data service. No netflix but has cable. There is also no telephones in the room so you have to go down the lobby to request anything or call their mobile with you own. Requested for mugs and water, said they can only provide disposable cups, even for room service plates and utensils. For the beach/pool - the beach is small and only shallow up to the edge. The deepest part goes up to my waist only. The beach is rocky so you need to bring slippers. The pool is same as advertised. Staff - Arrived during a blackout but staff just looked at us and didn’t offer to help with the bags to the 3rd floor :( Food/room service - Affordable and great. You can only order up to 5pm and they only serve it in disposable plates/containers. Place is great if you want a semi private resort that is not far from the barge.

Need an Intercom to save the trip from room to Front Desk, and Drinking water available 24hrs. The Staffs are really friendly and the place is clean from soup to nuts

“Expectations vs Reality”
Pros: Peaceful & Quiet/ Elevator/refrigerator w/ 2 small water complementary /countertop w/ sink/good staff(service)/with hot shower/nice view. Cons: 1 of the requests option-smoking room(never happened) need to go down & far to smoke /no toilet cover(broken)hard to use-not worth the price for the room compare to others(deluxe home)/ beach w/ lots of plastic garbage floating/unsafely-steep road, down to the reception(during rainy season accidents may occur due to green molds and not well-lit during at night.

I was a bit disappointed, rather book at the site than booking at Agoda. I paid 3,099 without breakfast, yet if you book directly to the Hotel you will pay 2,500 with breakfast. The resto has cut off time, which is understandable since there are few guests only. I was expecting complete toiletries like shampoo and toothpaste, yet you only get soap. Better to bring if you plan to stay here. But overall, it was a good experience staying at Holiday Oceanview. It's like we own the place and the staff is good.

“Beachfront hotel”
All the rooms in this hotel face the sea, hence a good view. Also the room is spacious. It has cable tv, thus with many chanels to choose.
