i am a backpacker, from taiwan, my name is keiven cai. The owner of the hotel is very nice and helpful to help me. When I want to take the bus back to Kathmandu, remind me of the time of departure. The room was very clean and not noisy.

“Nice place, well managed, very helpful staff”

I stayed here two years ago and was very impressed with the breadth and depth of the knowledge of the staff. This has not changed in two years. They were very helpful in solving problems that arise from traveling in a foreign country. They even called my phone to check on me when I was late in checking in. Reasonably priced, very quiet, pleasant garden. Highly recommend.

“Nice quiet location”

I stayed here for 8 nights and enjoyed it very much. My room was clean and quiet. Raj has worked here for 23 yrs 6am til 10 pm and is a jewel. He can help you. Wilt anything you need. Nice garden with tables for breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Room was clean and very cosy. The Hotel site was also very cosy. Breakfast might be not very much for some people but it was taste. Many good Restaurants near by and the lake. Staff is very friendly and leand us some hiking sticks and stored some unesceseary stuff for us during our hike.

“Friendly retreat from the bustle of Pokhara”

Caring and friendly staff add to the experience. Raj has been especially helpful with advice and contacts. If you need a taxi - ask Raj to book Rudra for you. The location, just fifty metres from the main road, allows for great views of the mountains and an oasis of calm in the lovely, colourful garden.

“Great value, friendly stay”

New Pokhara Lodge is conveniently located right at the turn to the main street at Lakeside. Rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. It also has a garden ideal for chilling. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and knows people in the area very well. I left something behind on my bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara and the staff at New Pokahara Lodge managed to retrieve it for me. They also have a great sense of humour which makes things very fun. I highly recommend this accommodation.

“3 day getaway ”

Absolutely wonderful tucked back little place. The man was the nicest man and made sure we knew what we were doing each day and if we needed help he would show us maps, etc. Would 100% go back there again! Perfect for a quiet couples getaway! Book through phone because other websites cost you more.

“Very well looked after”

We were welcomed very well, and the room was fine: quiet and the top rooms have great views of the mountains. The breakfast is served in the pleasant garden, and the wifi worked even during load-shedding! It is very close to the best bit of Lakeside (the park and the south stretch right next to the lake). Best of all Raj helped us find an excellent guide for the Annapurna Base Camp trek, which we successfully achieved [the guide was Padam Raj Adhikari and we would highly recommend him - excellent english and hugely helpful gpadhikari92@yahoo.com]

“Clean and comfortably, feels very home'y”

I was very pleased by the standard of the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, staff very friendly and helpful - they helped me to arrange paragliding and also bus tickets. it is a little far from the center, but benefits from the quietness of the area and also close to the central bus station. I would definitely recommend Pokhara lodge.

“Home from Home”

We stayed for 11 days. The owner Mehindra, Raj, Dorgo? and everyone else at the Lodge gave us a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them even in these difficult days for Nepal. They were happy to give advice and guidance on local attractions. The location is great being only a 5 minute gentle stroll to Lakeside and central to all amenities. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. The shower was always hot and the wifi was reliable. We will definitely stay again when we return to Pokhora.

New Pokhara Lodge was an amazing place slightly off the main road in east part of lakeside. Owners and hotel staff were really nice and helpful throughout our stay in Pokhara. The place itself is fantastic with an amazing view (if clouds allow:). I do strongly recommend this great value for money place to anybody going to Pokhara.

It was really nice to stay in here. The manager was really nice to us, listening and yaking care of guests very well. Do whatever he could to help as we were stucked in the jungle and luckly found the wag out and Raj(the manager) askes us are we ok? Etc... it was a pleasant to stay there! Big thumbs up!

Quite far from shopping area around 10-15 minutes walk , nice location with a little garden in the central area of lodge. No free map available here.Before we check out, staff ask us for taxi to airport fee but in the contact email it's said free transportation. overall : other staff : 8 score for helping and being nice, room 8 for cleanliness and spacious, quiet place

“Home from home”

Excellent! I cannot fault this place and would definitely stay there again. Raj who looked after the day to day management and all our needs and Mahendra who owned the lodged provided us with all we wanted and made our stay very special.

“Great Place To Stay!”

I found Mr. Raj really helpful, one thing about them is that they give you what you need not what you want. Everything is very clear in terms of prices on tours as they only recommend and it's up to you to negotiate proper. Most tour pricing is almost standard but hiring a car alone is a little pricey. The hotel has large rooms and a big bathroom, hot water through out the day (mostly), as usual in Nepal power cuts are normal but there's a schedule, so do follow it to charge up your gears. In terms of its location, I like it as it not on the main streets of Lake Pewa. You like some peace and silence after a long day out then this is your place. Also everything is not far off. Great bargain on shopping and trekking gear if you are planning to do the Annapurna range. Again I find no fault in this place and location. Only thing perhaps, instead of carpets a wooden floor would be great as some like myself are a bit sensitive to carpets. Mr.Raj is your man. Find him when staying there :)

“Excellent Place”

My girlfriend and I stayed here twice during our stay in Pokhara. The hotel is very quiet and has a lovely inner garden. The room was large with two windows and lots of sunlight. The room had a queen and a single bed. Everything was very clean including the large bathroom with hot water shower. Wifi was slow at times but it's the same all over Nepal. Raj was very friendly and helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel.

“Great place, great value”

I can highly recommend this place as probably the best budget hotel in which I have ever stayed. Super clean and comfortable, friendly helpful staff, great value. Only drawback for some may be the pleasant 20-30 minute walk into the center of the Lakeside district but that was not a problem for me. Good restaurants are located within 5-10 minutes walk of the hotel. You won't be disappointed here.

It really worth, for a clean, comfortable bed and quite place. It a little bit hidden from the road, take sometime to find the entrance as the 'signboard' is uniquely place. We also enjoy updating our family at home as the wifi is reasonable fast :-)

“Soooo wonderful! ”

We loved staying at New Pokhara lodge - the location is perfect, off the busy main drag - but right in the heart of town. The best part was the staff. They were so nice and really made us feel ready for our trek. They even hooked us up with our guide for our trek. Very honest about the best trek routes, guides, prices, etc. Highly recommend!! Plus the roof top views can't be beat.

Pros. Quiet at night, good looking garden, friendly staffs Cons. building construction just beside(May 2014) so noisy at day time. a bit far from lake side main street.(30min by walk) The road to entrance of the lodge is not sealed. So your shoes would get muddy every time go out and in, in a rainy days.

I loved everything about this place! Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on the food. The room was lovely and at a great price for what you get. The staff are very helpful and nice to deal with. The room was clean and was cleaned every day. The internet worked well. The location was quiet yet close to central lake area of pokhara. Can't say enough good things about this place. Would definitely stay in the same place again if I ever come back to pokhara!

Just perfect. The staff is extraordinary: friendly, delicate, always ready to satisfy all requests and needs of the guests. The place has a gorgeous inside garden and a magnificent rooftop view to the himalayas. It's located in a very quiet area, at a very close distance from the lakeside and centre of town.

“Very Nice Hotel”

It's a very nice guesthouse. Location is convenient yet quiet enough to take a good sleep. Staff are nice and will offer help for us. The owner managed a beautiful flower garden, making our stay in the New Pokhara Lodge a pleasant experience.

Great, beautiful and big mountain view can be seen from the rooftop and our room. At night, we could see so many stars on the rooftop. So we decided to stay one more night at New Pokhara Lodge. We had a perfect time in Pokhara because manager introduced nice guide for us. Owner and manager told us about nice mountain view point and sightseeing area. When we went outside to eat dinner, manager came to the restaurant with an electric torch. When we came back to lodge, he made delicious Nepal tea for us in the beautiful garden. Everything was so sweet. When we visit Pokhara next time, of course we will stay in New Pokhara Lodge!!

“Nice room, gorgeous view, friendly staff”

I enjoyed the New Pokhara Lodge stay. I in total stayed 4 nights and were so comfortable. It has a bit distance from the city center, but can easily walk in. Therefore, it is very quiet in the night to have a sound sleep. Room is wide and comfortable, well archtented for the mosquito protection, too. Very nice garden aurrounded by the room, where you can have breakfast, tea, etc.. Also, you must not miss the gorgeous range of the Annapurna mountains from the roof top !! Staff hospitality is also excellent. Mr. Hamraj was especially so. He helped me a lot in arranging a bus ticket, paragliding from the hill top, hotel reservation in Chitwan, etc.. The lodge is located the south side of the lake side, if you are able to read map, you may be walk in from the tourist bus terminal. Anyway, this hotel is one of the best lodge I have encountered in my life. Hope you will like it too!

New Pokhara Lodge was located in between the airport and the bustling main shopping area. Location was convenient. Room was nice and quiet. View from Room 11 was beautiful (see photo) On our second day, Mr Humraj was suppose to head out with us as our guide to boat across Phewa Lake and hike up Peace Stupa. Although our room did not include breakfast, they were very kind to make us simple egg and coffee (we had our own cinnamon roll from German Bakery). The roof garden outside is beautiful and useful. We took out some clothes to sun for about 10 minutes so that we can pack them without moist feeling. Room was spacious. Hot water and heater in working condition. Bathroom was clean.

“Most Relaxing Stay In Nepal”

I enjoyed this hotel so much I extended my stay. I can't say enough about the attentiveness of the staff. As the nights got colder they anticipated my need for a blanket and provided one without being asked. Compared to other areas of the lake this one is super quiet and bereft of dogs. They have a peaceful vegetable garden and a lovely terrace to chill out and watch the mountains. After a full days activity or an extended trek this is a place you will CRAVE to be to unwind. Can't recommend this more highly!

Very happy that we have chosen this hotel to stay when we are in Pokhara. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and big, shower in bedroom is good and strong with hot water.

We wanted a simple one-night stay in Pokhara before heading off for trekking in Annapurnas. The New Pokhara Lodge is located in the quieter baidam side of Phewa Tal. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly as well and can help to arrange transport etc.
