“Clean, great Staff, excellent Buffet”
Pros-great location, lots of street food and restaurants, staff very polite and friendly. Room very clean, TV even has some English channels. Cons- hot water in shower spotty, but workable. If use US cash , make sure bills. are perfect, no creases or tears.

“Great place for a stay. ”
Been staying in many places in Mandalay and yet this place by far is my favourite stay in Mandalay because of the affordable price and location.

“Great place in Mandalay”
Very friendly and courteous staff. Centrally located, walking distance to Royal Palace and many restaurants. Great breakfast with many choices. Rooms are spotless. Nice hot shower.

“Nice place in mandalay”
The staff, free bikes, locationWe didn't like mandalay. Could only find 1 restaurant in walking distance. The room was okay. But we got a free upgrade so i dont know how the standard rooms are like. Would atay here again if i had to go to mandalay. But hope it won't come to that.

“Great location and superb service”

“Great hotel with an excellent staff”
Value, price, staffI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were amazing and can help u with absolutely anything. The restaurant is really good and the food was delicious. The breakfast was really good as well. The showers were always hot but, as is common in Myanmar, the Wi-Fi was subpar. Otherwise, I would stay here again and recommend it to all of my friends.

“A getaway holiday in mynmar. ”
Location, near market,banks,food stores and shopping areas.Overall enjoyable. Room 201 has good WiFi , quiet and hot |cold showers. Friendly reception. Will come back to stay here.

“Amazing breakfast, close to night market, exceptional staff”
This hotel is the real deal, they know what travelers want. Great location, easy to get to city market and delicious night market. The best buffet breakfast we've seen in 3 months of traveling. Free bikes. Cable TV with English movies and BBC (most places we've seen with TV don't have anything in English to watch). Helpful staff that went out of their way for us. Spotlessly clean. All around a great stay, which has been a bit difficult to find in Myanmar.

“Not bad...not great”
Gore our first time yo Myanmar we thought to have a central hotel. Its in the busy new developing location do easy to get taxi out. I would recommend checking other with more character.

“needs better management”
location, beds, staffI have stayed several times before. This time room smelt badly of drains (I live in Asia so I am used to this problem). It was so bad I checked out early. They know it is a problem, so why not fix it?? Hotel is good value for money but this time the smell was too much. I won't be staying again dspite its good points

“Great little hotel with super friendly staff”
Staff.Arriving at night time you could be forgiven for fearing the worse as the area surrounding the hotel is not the most appealing but the staff are super friendly & helpful and will do whatever they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel seems to employ twice as many staff as other hotels all of whom had s job to go and see sure it was done well. The rooms are okay but very clean. The breakfast buffet had numerous options. Well worth the cost.

“A top place to stay.”

“A decent stay in a dull town”
Staff, cleanliness, Wi-FIThis hotel is clean, decent, and pretty OK for Mandalay. It's on a street that's pretty beat up and has something of a night market, so it's noisy late into the night and in the early morning. The area is convenient, I suppose, since it's near the Diamond Centre shopping mall, but it's not really a compelling area and transport options are limited. The staff was very helpful, though, in booking our onward travel and providing information.

“Best staff performance”
Clean, best staff, nice breakfastPleasant, even without hot water (trouble with shower). Competent staff, specially ladies in the reception. Only minus, the transport company recommended for transfer from Mandalay. Arrogant driver driving off road over the mountains and with max. speed. We were promissed seats in a minibus. Not a regular taxi, with more passangers than seats and damaged spine after hours of crazy driving.

“Very good hotel”
staff, cleanliness, staffI arrived in the middle of the night and my room was not ready yet. But the staff was so kind, they offered me the breakfast and did their best to give me the room at 7:30. They were also very efficient for booking bus or boat tickets and taxi. Furthermore, the room was so clean and very well equipped. The breakfast was great with so many choices of food. And they offer free bicycle rental. I really had a good stay there and strongly recommend it!

“Noisy, Chain-smoking Chinese Tourists Next Door”
locationThe staff were nice and I liked the location. The breakfast was also great and the room and bed was comfortable. The problems: * No hot water * Someone left their dirty underwear hanging in the closet and the staff did not clean it out. * Noisy neighbors who were also smoking. Ok, I agree that the staff can only do too much after people have reserved and paid up. But at MINIMUM, the staff must inform them to "keep it down" and "please do not smoke" and not just put up with it entirely. Losing one room/group of annoying people is not as bad as losing every other person on the same floor as a customer. From what I observed, the staff took no action whatsoever. I encourage them to be brave and stand up to these people next time. Overall I would stay here again, if the staff can learn how to manage the unruly customers better.

“Great Stay at The Tiger”
Staff, Breakfast, organised motorbike hire for me & clean2 days in Mandalay turned into 5, Breakfast was very good local food and western, don't be shy and stuff your face and save on buying lunch. Room was clean and new, great bath for a good soak after sight seeing, wifi was ok, works better in breakfast room, Staff were great really helpful and friendly, organised a motorbike for me, which opened up my travel options. took bike for 4 days, driving no problem at all, roads ok, drive slow and enjoy, give the main walled military compound a miss, over rated and you are giving money directly to some very evil people indeed. Same with ticket to see all sights in the area, you don't need it, just use your bike to go in the back way.Don't trust tripadviser or your travel books, all out dated, search yourself.

“Really good hotel and awesome breakfast!”
Nice rooms, perfect staff, breakfastWe stayed in the superior double and it was really great! It was equipped with everything you need and was perfectly clean. The hotel is really well kept and clean in total and staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is awesome too- a lot of variety!! The location is the only downside- a little bit far from centre.

“A six.5 at best”
location is not badThis hotel should be rated about a 6 or a 6.5 on it's best day. After being shown to a horrible dark hole of a room we complained and were given the one in the photos The room itself was not terrible it's just not that great either. The bathtub actually drains right onto the floor and then runs out a floor drain, it was pretty bad trying to do anything in the bathroom after a shower. I would not stay again.

“Lovely hotel with brilliant staff”
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of choices.We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay very much. The room and bathroom were lovely. The only negative was that hot water was not always available, e.g. at 8am. The location was good, with several cafes and restaurants nearby and lots of street food available.

“Great stay!!”
staff, value, locationGreat value for the money! Very helpful staff at anytime of day or night! Clean well appointed and spacious room, awesome bathroom for Myanmar standards. Buffet breakfast, free bikes to explore the city given taxis in Mandalay are much more expensive than Yangon. About 15min walking from the Royal Palace. Front desk will also help you book anything you might need. Would definitely recommend!

“A good place to stay in Mandalay”
Helpful and attentive staff. Good buffet breakfast with a range of choices. Free bikes.A pleasant stay. Carpet in the hall looks a little grotty so the room is a pleasant surprise: new, clean, and comfortable bed. A bathtub! Wifi strong and stable. Free bikes made it easy to explore Mandalay, get to the tourist jetty for Mingun, and even the U Bien bridge without the hassle of negotiating taxi fares. Strangely, the bathrooms sink and the bathtub drains emptied onto the floor beside a floor drain. There was a mosque nearby whose 6:00 am call to prayer was loud enough to wake me but not my partner. Mandalay traffic is a little chaotic but manageable on a bike during the day. At night you need your own light of some kind and watch out for drunk guys on scooters. We found Mandalay much more interesting than Yangon and had no trouble filling three full days there.

“Good location, and staff, not much else”
Staff, location, free juiceThe staff was very helpful and courteous and the room my first night was good. The second night, however, the room was dirty and full of mosquitoes. I hopefully don't have malaria, but my feet have been itchy for days.

“Great hotel with not so good bathroom”
Very helpful staff; tasty breakfast; good location;The most helpful receptionists that I have seen. They showed us what we can seein Mandalay and also helped us to organize our excursion for the cities around Mandalay. The breakfast was very tasty and diverse. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem that we had was with the low water pressure in the bathroom. We could still take a bath, but it was not easy.

“最高!”
My friend recommends this hotel for us and we are not disappointed anymore. The hotel is valuable, cleanliness, and safety. The staff is very kind and helpful (give them some kudos, we really love their services). The breakfast is very nice and can fulfill our energy. Only one problem we found is no soundproof in the room.
