“Beautiful and Peaceful Island ”
Island was beautiful but even after paying so much for water villa and 380 usd for transfer we had to wait 1.5 hours in the airport which was not good. Later they allowed us to wait in lounge but still they can plan better or have frequent transfers.

the sand was coarse mostly, but beautiful island and food was average. be they charged the green tax again at hotel after pay with agoda booking. and agoda did nothing to resolve it. end up paying 96 usd extra

“Bad staff/transfer booking/management”
Transfer booking is terrible. Impossible to get answer in time. So called combo transfer are made to save money, gain more revenue for the resort. You may end up looking for hotel in Male city day before your flight because 380 usd are "not enough for personal transfer". This is so different from what I remember Maldives had 20 years ago. You were guaranteed to be on back flight. Not talking about storms during summer and weather conditions (not applicable in winter time). Due to failures and no transfer confirmation from hotel, I had to cancel initial booking, shift booking 1 day earlier (and spend 250 usd more), then book another hotel to stay overnight in Male and catch my back flight early morning. Upon arrival staff gave false feedback about inability to book in advance and their policy of combo booking. Talking total nonsense. They had no idea I've been working in Maldives for 1 year and knew they are talking bullshit. We stayed on the NE side of the island, beach there sucks. Others are good. Another good point is, - doctor, whose help we needed due to small accident in water. He's very kind and professional.

“Awesome property ”
Summer islands is a tiny paradise. Staff is courteous,property is extremely well maintained and always kept clean. The water around this island is crystal clear and is a haven for those who like scuba diving, snorkeling and other water activities

“A heavenly escape but with some tiny cons”
First of all, it's a great view period. The beach line, the rooms, the buffet, everything is just awesome. There are amenities like a small gym, outdoor badminton and TT court. I had the opportunity to enjoy their best facilities (including special beach side dinner). First I stayed in a single 1bhk bungalow which had everything I dreamed of and then later I upgraded to a water villa which was even better due to jacuzzi, pvt deck, majestic view and a separate restaurant only for water villa guests. Their transport services are also reliable mostly and they have a policy that if they couldn't arrange timely transfers then they'll accommodate you till your next flight. Some minor cons: -only one water activity provider. They charge so high for so little. They wouldn't provide you scuba diving if you can't swim on your own. So basically they're saying that you shouldn't enjoy scuba if you are not a swimmer. I had greatly enjoyed scuba diving in goa and Maldives on previous trips. -communication with hotel is very inconvenient. They're not on WhatsApp, they don't reply quickly in gmail or booking apps. I couldn't even call them due to their network congestion. So the only way to connect a call is to ask them to call you back. Other than these cons, I personally found no other issues with them. Only more expensive hotels could provide better location. Otherwise it's a dream location for every beach lover.

I really appreciate Amjad from Samuga Restaurant, he is quiet, but nice and very helpful unlike others they are not treating all the guests equally. I am also happy with Bradlin, he is so nice too.

“Great Experience ”
Great experience! Clean beaches, best staffs and reasonable considering the service and quality. The most impressive quality was their value for time. Things were always on time, no excuses. Awesome experience The beaches are not so deep so we enjoyed swimming and watching fishes, sharks and corals. The food items were quite a lot but we lacked asian cuisine and had limited options. Budget friendly and accommodating staffs. Thank You very much Adam Rushdan who ensured to his best that our requests were fulfilled and also arranged a water villa upgrade. Must visit !!!

“Amazing !!!”
I had a great time at Summer Island Hotel! The location was super peaceful, and the views were absolutely stunning. The staff were really friendly and made sure everything was taken care of. I actually got sick during my stay, but they took such good care of me, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and comfy, and I especially loved the pool and the food—the buffet was really good too! The scenery around the hotel was breathtaking, with beautiful sunsets and crystal-clear water, making it the perfect spot to just relax and take it all in. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to unwind and enjoy some beautiful scenery! Thank you team for taking care of us ! It was pressure staying with you guys !

“Excellent Choice for Honeymoon ”
We enjoyed our time at the resort. The sea and nature are captivating. It's a very quiet resort. The staff are helpful, hospitable, kind and friendly. Go for half board and enjoy the dinner; the food in the buffet is great and they make lovely virgin pina coladas at Nevi Bar - which also some games to keep you entertained and a TV that shows the premier league. Thank you, Saiful, Mohamed on the egg station, Venoor and Noor from the cleaning service and the whole team for making our stay memorable.

“A Maldivian Experince”
We choose to spend our summer at Summer Island Resort, and we were not disappointed. The front desk receptionist was patient, supportive and diligent. I Had a deep cut while surfing, and the on-site doctor took care of me. The food at the buffet was surprisingly flavourful, fresh and had ample variety. All in all, I loved the days we spent on the resort. It has everything one needs.

“An unexpected vacation experience!”
I fell in love with Summer Island at first sight! The reception staff were very enthusiastic and friendly. While waiting for check-in, they gave each of us a glass of sparkling water and sat in the lobby, gazing at the blue sea. They were looking forward to the upcoming vacation experience. The scenery on the island is very beautiful, and I noticed that every room on the island has a view of the sea. The restaurants on the island offer delicious and diverse food. There is a huge infinity pool, not too deep, where children can also swim. Speaking of the staff, the Uresh who guided us to the offshore island was impressive. He was a very friendly, enthusiastic, and experienced handsome guy, which made us feel very happy! Looking forward to seeing you again. When the speedboat left, he and another staff member waved goodbye. Thank you Summer Hotel for bringing me and my boyfriend a happy and joyful vacation experience.

“Honeymoon”
We got engaged on the island and returned for our honeymoon. The staff are so friendly and the dining staff become part of making the stay so special. They remembered our coffee orders, spoke of our days and plans. The rooms are so clean and well maintained. Beautiful smelling cream, shower gels and shampoo and conditioner. The gym makes up for the divine buffet feasts and themed nights of feeding! The house reefs are full of brightly coloured fish.. even turtles! The free boat excursions to the outer reef provide entertainment to the stay where you can explore unique reefs a couple of kms away from the island. The palm trees and paths are so well maintained. A true paradise on earth!

“Amazing resort”
Beautiful resort, with really blue water different water colours on the sunset and the sunrise side but both sides really amazing. The food is delicious and there is lots of variety, there are thematic nights - like Italian night. There is no house reef on the island itself but there are fishes, sharks and other marine animals around the island and the views are breathtaking. Big plus is that there is one snorkeling trip per day for free to a nearby reef, the reef is very nice with very beautiful corals and fishes. The rooms are big, have nice patios and most have sea view. The staff is great and the location is perfect - just 45 min speed boat from Male. Perfect resort.

“Great experience”
I really don't think it matters what room you book since the island is small and all the beautiful beaches are accessible to everyone. The sea is clean and the weather warm. The variety of food was good, the eco-friendly measures were appreciated, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others! My only constructive feedback is the overall hospitality approach could be more polished (i.e., communicate the promotions accurately, all staff should be informed of special event information each day, in room toiletries would be nice, set an expectation around tipping (not asking where are you from and if the US asking for a tip)).

“Eco friendly Paradise ”
We really enjoyed our stay at Summer Island Resort. What stood out to us, was the eco friendly touches such as large refillable toiletries(rather than tiny single use), seemingly unlimited refillable water each day, cloth serviettes at meal times. In fact we saw no single use products and the cleanliness of the beach and waters was a wonderful testimony to this policy. Buffet meals were all very good and the free daily snorkeling was a bonus(although we had to pay for snorkels and fins). The staff were lovely and we couldn't fault them. Rooms were simple but had all we needed. Location of accommodation varies with price, but all locations were good.

“Literally just WOW!”
I spent a week here and let me tell you, I won’t ever forget my stay! It was my first time in the Maldives and I couldn’t have possibly asked for a better resort :-) Everything was amazing! (maybe the food was a bit “standard” but I’m being a bit picky here tbh) the super kind and helpful staff, the room, etc It felt surreal how beautiful the island was! It’s like being in one of those archipelagos far beyond any known lands you visit in some games (yes I’m a big fan of videogames hahah) If you’re looking for a real island retreat (not a overly manufactured resort) you’re in for a treat if you book your stay here!

“perfect for honeymoon and those who wants peace ”
The experience from fetching us (gave us cold towels cause of the scorching weather) to the drinks in the boat, to the welcome drinks at the reception and our beautiful villa. Our water villa looks better in real life and the waters is so beautiful and clear with various sea creatures. We even saw the reef shark swimming in front of our room! The staff were all pleasant and food wise - they serve all kinds of food that cater to all kind of tastebuds! The only thing is the walking distance from my Water Villa to the Samuga restaurant is about 3.5 minutes? So a buggy will be good especially if its at night! But if youre ok to walk, then this shouldnt be an issue! We went for our anniversary and the staff had the initiative to set up a table for anniversary, make us an anni cake, decorate our bed while we went out for dinner and even suggested the romantic sea boat ride which was wonderful! The hotel is almost new very clean,the stuff was very helpful,they try to help with everything we ask for. The food specialy the buffet was good. Everything was very good ,but for the people who don't like wind,if you come here during the rainy season it's better to ask room on SUNRISE side to avoid the wind.All equipment is rented here for snorkeling and other fun stuff ,sirf,boards,kayaks.

Maldivlerde ilk deneyimimiz bu adada gerçekleşti. Odalar günde iki kez temizlendi ve içme suyuna sürekli ücretsiz erişim sağlayabildik. Yarım pansiyon gayet yeterli iki öğün de açık büfe. Denizi oldukça temizdi ancak gündoğumu olan yani adanın doğu tarafı rüzgar ve dalga açısından yüzmek için çok daha uygun. Ada çevresinde su altı yaşamı oldukça zengin bu yüzden şnorkel ile adaya gelmenizi tavsiye ediyorum. Yemekler kendini tekrar ediyor ancak bu beş gecelik bir tatil için sorun yaratmadı. Gün batımını da otelin barından keyifli bir şekilde izleyebiliyorsunuz. Havalimanı transferleri sorunsuz bir şekilde ve bekletme olmadan gerçekleşti. Adaya speedboat ile yaklaşık 45 dakikada ulaşıyorsunuz. Ne kalabalık ne de çok sakin bir ada. Uygun bir fiyat karşılığında çok memnun kalarak ayrıldığımız bir tatil oldu. Bütün çalışanlara teşekkürler.

“最高!”
We had our first anniversary in Summer Island and it was all worth it. The place is very private and quiet, definitely a paradise! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, I would like to give a shoutout to Menaka, he’s the best! Except for the slow wifi and the rain during our barbeque night 😂, everything was perfect ! T’was really a great experience to cherish.

“Pros and cons of this resort”
Pros: - Most beautiful island very well maintained by the staff - we had half board and the all inclusive buffet was amazing! The chefs are making everything themselves, from pastries to desserts. Everyday something different. - We were very happy with our superior vista room with amazing view and outdoor bathroom! - Gym was also satisfactory! Cons: - Even though we had half board, the staff was constantly trying to sell us a BBQ meal of $75 p.p. Even though we friendly declined, we were asked up to seven times. We felt it was way too pushy. Also, the staff is quick in asking you whether you want another drink even though your drink is not empty. It gave us the feeling we had to buy another drink not to be judged. Was uncomfortable. - Drinks were very pricey. Expect to pay $7 for a simple beer and even $8 for a simple coffee! - The pool was very small and there were just a few sun-beds which were always taken. - unfortunately only one pool table. But all in all, we very much enjoyed our stay there! We will never forget the beautiful sunset scene with our delicious cocktails in hand.

“Heavenly stay”
Our stay at Summer Island was perfect. We stayed there for 5 nights. It was our honeymoon and they made it the best by their services and welcoming behaviour ❤️ The staff, waiters, cooks and everyone there is so friendly with us. It felt like home 🤩

“Place where I gladly return! ”
I’ve stayed at Summer Island 3x - once alone and twice with family. This is a place where I gladly return. The island is about 45’ away from the Airport, accessible by the speed boat. If you like a quite place with stunning views, this is a place for you. The resort is kids friendly and they will enjoy as much as you do. There are water activities if you like an active holidays too. Variety of the food is good and the staff will make sure your stay is memorable (Biju and Mahesh to name a few). My top favorite: Infinity Pool, Water Vila and tropical fruits. Don’t forget to try waffles for breakfast ;)

“Magical, Generous & Heavenly ”
Words cannot express my gratitude to this resorts team efforts to make our short stay not only memorable but magical There are much to say about their honest generosity but for a starter they upgraded our room to water villa which is more expensive and astonishing Everybody that works in this resort have a genuine smile and if you have a request or problem I noticed that they will compete to offer best solution The resort itself has everything that you need for an escape from urban society, the 2 restaurants offer enough choices and especially the seafood in Hia restaurant is exquisite and large in quantity for 2 persons only for 110$ You can get 2 beaches, one is facing sunset and smaller in size the other is wide and have amazing colors degrees The resort is 4 stars but I wonder what is missing to be 5, especially the stuff is too friendly they will know you by room number, name and home country One crucial thing is that the island is not far from airport by speedboat is only 40 minutes or less, costs 360 $, the staff are also very professional and organized in handling your flights arrivals and departure, we arrived at 6 am and we found them arranging a lounge at the airport which offered open buffet for breakfast and good comfortable stay. Not only they offered an upgrade to our room but we checked in at 9 am very early without a finger lefted To sum up this shan't be our last visit to this place and every penny here is worth it
