駅近くで便利、オーナーが親切、部屋が清潔真夜中に到着したがオーナーは親切に応対してくれた(セキュリティ上入り口にロックがかかっており、到着時にオーナーに連絡して暗証番号を聞く必要がある)。希望すれば毎日部屋の清掃とタオルの交換をしてくれる。エアコン、ミニ冷蔵庫完備。シャワーの温度と湯圧はまあまあ。重慶マンションは雑居ビルなので、他のフロアは雑然としている。安宿の雰囲気を楽しめる人にはお勧め。1階の両替所はどこもレートが良かったし、カレー屋とトルコ料理屋は値段も手頃でおいしかった。

“Room isn’t the same as picture ”
I booked for 4 nights once I see my room. I’m very disappointed, the room is very small and tiny. There’re 2 bed and they’re cross of side. We’re not even walking. We get off the restroom and have to jump in the bed because we can’t walk. We wait for elevator so long. It take 4-5 people per time. Last but not least I come to check in at 6 pm but the room not ready. It mean that they’re not preparing for us and THE ROOM I reserved is not the same as PICTURE!

“Disappointing Stay – Not Clean or Safe”
I recently stayed at this guest house and was extremely disappointed. The place was dirty, messy, and poorly maintained. The hygiene standards were unacceptable. Additionally, the overall environment seemed insecure. The only positive aspect is its convenient location, close to the city center and restaurants. However, that alone does not make up for the lack of cleanliness and security. I would not recommend staying here unless management makes serious improvements.

This main room is in the Chunking Mansion Block D Floor 13, you have to go first to the receptionist (The one assisted us is a Filipino, she will lead you to the room (expect a lot of people around.. personally I don’t feel unsafe at all or whatever. just tell the ones asking that you are already booked there). There are just few times that the elevator line is long, but manageable, it moves fast. I commend the security, they have a lock for the hallway and there are cctv cameras. My comment with regard to the room is that, there is no proper exhaust in the CR, it is quite small if 4 people (good thing we are just a couple booked in the family room). Excellent location, the train station is just across the street, Harbour, Clock Tower, Avenue of Stars is just walking distance. In summary, it was not a grand stay but overall, it was worth the money.

I find the airbnb location is good however their water heater is malfunctioning, they did not provide new towels. Toilet and bath too small. No soap or shampoo, no indoor slippers. They only make bed but didnt sweep the floor.

Even though there were bad reviews about guest houses in Chungking Mansion, me and my family took the risk of booking a place here and it did not disappoint.. Especially if you will be going out the whole day and just go back to rest for the night. The only thing that I don’t like out the place is the elevators, they are small and can only accommodate few people

“SUPER SULIT”
Super Friendly staff especially Ate Eden a filipino Staff. Once we request something she always give us that favor as soon as possible. The room is Clean. As usual the room is not to big but can accommodate the number of person. The place is near in everything mtr, food, bus and also in attraction. I will surely book again here. We really enjoy our 2nd time hong kong trip.

Joyous Guesthouse is located in the 10th floor, and the rooms for couples are intended solely for sleeping. Hahaha with no major movement allowed. But for the other room we're rented, its actually spacious family room, which is necessary since we have children. Please note that the facilities may not be very clean, as the building is quite old. This guesthouse is a good option for budget travelers

Fantastic location with excellent staff. The property offers good value for money. Clean rooms and efficient wi-fi make it a comfortable stay. Shopping nearby is a plus. There is no view and hot water could be improved, but overall a wonderful experience for families with young children

“Hongkong Trip”
This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at Chungking Mansion. The guesthouse we booked was with Joyous Guest House. The room given to us was spacious than the previous one I’ve stayed even the bathroom. I would recommend this for those who are looking for place to sleep & not choosy.

We enjoyed our stay here. Expect that the elevator is small and is good for 5 persons only. Many Indian Food Stalls in the area because it’s located inside of the Chungking Mansions. MTR also is just accross. K11 Mall & Victoria Harbour is just a walking distance only.

Bathrooms are equipped with water heaters and have shampoo and soap available. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests; they can also be reached through WhatsApp for faster communication. Cleanliness could be slightly better since some sheets had some stains and we had it changed but other than that it was all good. They also have a microwave, hot water kettle, and drinking water available which is a plus. Would definitely book here again if we come back!

“Will not recommend Joyous Guest House”
We booked Joyous Guest House but upon check-in we were transferred to different guest house. Our place smells bad. The put no smoking but tolerated other guests. Their reason was because long term guests which is not valid. Very small room. No extra space at all even for opening luggage.

“Budget stay”
It’s a good place to stay if you’re in a budget. Location is good, there is free water for coffee or for instant cup noodles. There is also refrigerator and microwave oven available to re heat food. You can also leave your luggage if upon check out time. Staffs are Filipina and very helpful , they change the towel daily. I recommend this place , it is somehow comfortable to stay and have a good rest.

The place is very near to MTR and malls around the area. Also just few steps from bus pick-ups/drop-off. The staff always made sure that the room is clean. The only problem is the elevator as it could end up leaving you on queue for quite some time
