Great spot for families. We loved our stay!
Ideal location with friendly staff, nice place for a quick getaway for a couple of days, was very relaxing
Will hopefully be back soon!
We came here to snorkel and relax. The amazing food was a real surprise and we enjoyed every breakfast and dinner at the huge buffet. One night we had 7 different local fish options. We ended up changing our bookings to stay longer twice! Safe place to swim and snorkel, which we wanted. Landscape is just beautiful and staff always so helpful.
My friend and I enjoyed a very relaxing stay on this island paradise. Cute bungalows with nice cool air con, warm staff, tasty food and divine blue waters to swim and snorkel in, plus a swim up bar in the resort pool.
Our family recently traveled to Fiji for a wedding on Denarau, which was amazing. We had decided to extend our stay and visit one of the Islands to unwind and relax. We chose Mana Island because of the location, facilities and price, which included 2 meals per day. We stayed in a garden Burè, which had all we needed. We loved the outdoor shower. The facilities are a little tired and not overly well maintained but met our expectations in so many other ways. The staff were all amazing, each and every greets you with a ‘Bula’ (hello) and ‘Vinaka’ (thank you). The buffet was fantastic and we loved the snorkelling, kayaking, pool time and other daily activities. We really felt apart of the Mana community and were sad to leave after a week of eating, drinking and relaxing. We will definitely be back.
Our family of 2 kids and 2 bigger kids had an amazing time at Mana Island. The array of activities were amazing and the fact that they were both interactive and also fun for all ages is the reason we're planning a return trip.
Amazing reef that you can snorkel easily by swimming straight out from the beach in front of your bure. We didn't find this kind of coral so close on any of the other islands we stayed at. Good value with breakfast and dinner included. Staff friendly and helpful always. Rooms and grounds could do with some maintenance / upgrades but this did not detract from the stay. Lots of interesting demonstrations about fiji culture - would be fun to have a go at some activities (e.g. weaving).
Location incredible people staff most beautiful and caring Food amazing Place just needs a refurbishment mold on curtains pretty basic Rubbish on beaches really need clearing up But will be back as the island and people are incredible
This place is paradise!
Everything about this place is incredible!!!
Loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Nadi and enjoying real island life. Facilities could use a bit of maintenance but the staff made up for it. Buffett breaky and dinner was delish! New Years celebration was the best. Thanks to Lino and his team.
If you’re after a budget friendly idyllic location this is a great option. It is run down so keep expectations low regarding facilities/rooms. The beach is absolutely stunning and the staff are amazing, they are a fantastic bunch of people who made our trip really great. The flies in the restaurant are out of control with having to swat and shoo them away, they’re on the buffet food constantly (I’m unsure if it’s just this time of year it’s a problem?). If it was renovated it would be a lot more comfortable but overall we had a lovely 6 nights there.
We chose Mana Island resort as out Christmas holiday venue. The weather was not on our side to explore the island to its full potential. The staff was friendly, and the food is good. However, the facilities in the rooms were not that great.
We arrived at Mana island and had paid a premium for the honeymoon suite. We were disappointed-it was dated and miles away from anything and was not on the beach.. there was a big retaining wall outside the rooms and nothing like the beautiful beach front in the photos. You are also meant to get a cart with the room to get you to and from the facilities however ours didn’t have one. We asked to change room and were advised it would be a downgrade-we accepted. We were moved to the beach front bures and it was fabulous and felt more like an upgrade!! The room was big and spacious with a spa bath in the room. It was also a few steps down onto the beach and was beautiful. The deck was a bit dangerous as one of the planks fell through when walking on it which could have been an ankle breaker-we kept the plank up so that maintenance would be aware but room service just placed it back in place.. overall once we had moved rooms the trip was amazing.. snorkelling off the beach was great too.. maintenance of the property seemed non existent and the whole place needs a lick of paint and spouse up..
We stayed at Mana Island for three nights and had an amazing time. The food was excellent, and the kids absolutely loved spending time with the turtles and baby sharks being cared for. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We took a private transfer to Mana Island with Sea Fiji, and they were fantastic!
I booked two nights to try Mana Island resort travelling with my family (my wife and I have been there as a couple about 10 years ago) but had to cut the trip short and end our stay after just one night. The staff were helpful and accommodating the beach was beautiful however, the room / bure, restaurant and other facilities need an upgrade. The garden also looked unkempt - I feel it need more plants and trees and looking after because my first impression was a bit depressing. The breakfast was average and I found the food a bit bland. Fly control at the restaurant was absent or not effective as there were plenty flying around during dining times - I wasn't happy at all about that. The bed was comfy but the linen and the pillow wasn't fresh. Hot water didn't work in our bure. The pool was OK however, there were tiled areas that were damaged or under construction so was a bit concerned about my kids walking on them. There were additional costs to using huts near the pool area, which was unexpected. Overall, it was not a good experience for me but I haven't given any single-star ratings because I reckon the experience will depend on what your expectations are and what you book (i.e. maybe other rooms and bures are OK). I don't think that I will visit again, unless the resort goes through a refresh / upgrade. So, at this point, I can't recommend it.
I was impressed with the amount of activities lined up for guests staying at Mana. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Only issue is Fiji time but I guess that's part of the experience in Fiji. The buffet at Live Cooking restaurant is impressive and the menu changes daily for dinners. Very affordable and value for money. There are also dogs around the island and the dogs are so gentle and friendly even with kids. I truly enjoyed my stay at Mana and will be back with kids and family.
Had a good experience overall however a few things let this Resort down with expectations. Had to make a personal visit next day after 4 phone calls for the room makeup and laundry to be picked. Also in the bar the person who was servicing was not very friendly and didn’t showed good gestures.
We enjoyed our stay very much! Couldn't avoid cockroaches or other bugs due to tropical environment but we do love this place and would love to come back! The staff in this village are so friendly and lovely. Understanding the people in this place are all happy, bula! The rooms probably need to do maintenances soon . The dinner buffet are different everyday but breakies are most likely same everyday so we're kind of tired of eating breakies lol Their activities are so fun for adults as well as for kids if yot send them to kidsclub! Overall, we love this village !
Very nice location Friendly to Kids Good place to snorkel Very affordable
The resort is okay, but it's basic and not worth the money. You have to pay extra for Wi-Fi, and even for activities like foosball etc. We've visited many resorts, and this one was the least impressive. The size of the resort makes it feel impersonal, so you won't get much of a Fijian cultural experience here. It might be better suited for families or older guests.
Beautiful island surrounded by clear ocean with great snorkeling
The location is great. The scenery and beaches are great. The resort facilities - not up to scratch. The massive, smooth tiled areas in the rain are so dangerous and had everyone on edge. The food was average. I think they are trying but they are losing the battle. Don't offer discounted deals and then say half the resort is closed????
Beautiful beach and lovely people. I’d go back
Run down, and disgusting. Should have been renovated 10 years ago
Mana island is beautiful with great swimming on both north and south beaches. The staff is super friendly and resort has tours onsite which was so convenient for snorkeling and seeing other islands. The reception is beautiful and the dining area with cabanas are also great and charming. The room is nice and roomy. On the negatives, the room’s bathroom tiles are old and cracked and should be replaced. The tiles in the outdoor dinning areas are “indoor”’tiles and are slippery. Our dinner was included in price but it was the same menu each night. There were lots of flies due to food and facility should have little “fly fan” on each table to deter the flies. There overall grounds are nice. It was a great trip overall and great value for the money.
The resort was great to stay, extremely clean and great staff. Food varieties were good and tasty. Had an excellent holiday.
Best staffs, Great Food and Perfect Holiday vibe.
We were checked into a room with bed bugs. After the first night we went to the reception with the issue, they said they'd do something about it. That something about it was apparently only to change the sheets. That was enough to magically make the bed bugs go away. Second night more bed bugs and by this point we got moved to another room. The worst thing of the entire story was that they apparently checked in new people in the same room with the bed bugs right after we left. However, our neighbors from the original room told us that they only stayed one night in that room.. I wonder why.
It’s very deceiving …the pictures online are not what is looks like in reality. When you pay a high price for a hotel, you always expect a decent accommodation. Worst experience ever !!
it's our first time to Fiji, and the reason to picked Mana Island Resort and Spa is because of the reasonable price and meals included. when we arrived, we are so happy that we made this decision, it's a lovely place with friendly staff, the breakfast and dinner are buffet style, so you can pick the food you like. My husband usually doesn't get into the ocean, but since the south beach is so peaceful and the water is so crystal clear, we went snorkeling, on the left side of the ocean, we found so many colorful fishes and coral if we ever visit Fiji again in the future, Mana will be the place we stay again.
Beautiful landscape - after 4 days the food got a bit old but spent the days playing pool, tennis, snorkelling and the resort activities were actually really fun
Spent a week with the family at Mana Island resort Christmas 2022. I've found other resorts to have more helpful and friendly staff. Facilities a bit run down - exposed wiring in pool area and lots of broken tiles / acrylic. Extremely slippery tiles are pool and restaurant. Food was good, but not the cheapest - room service / take away probably the best option most of the time. Nice beaches - some good snorkelling right off the beaches, but snorkel hire (and other equipment) needed to be returned daily and way too early. Definitely better options out there, but nice enough.
Awesome staff, recognise them when you can. Location is amazing.
The management did not have the fijian charm and service. People react to all rules, not nice to their naboes. The fijian at the place did not dare to Say against the management.
This is the absolutely perfect island for beach and snorkelling, however, the culinary experience is limited since there are few restaurants on the island. Except for the lovely breakfast buffet, the main dining room's food is expensive and not that great. The rooms are also dated and worn, as this resort is over 50 years old. Refurbishing the rooms would really make this a fantastic place to stay since the beach and the staff are so wonderful.
Only gripe was that food was expensive and not much choice
