“Awesome, huge, confy and clean”
A great room, very large space, super comfortable bed, and loads of space. Also very close to communion brewery, a great place for beer and food.

“Excellent accommodation ”
Room impressed us, extremely spacious with high ceilings, largest bathroom we have ever encountered with a marvellous corner spa and two sets of towels were provided. Views to the water, continental breakfast provided within room. Free fast wifi and safe free car parking also provided. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations and keen to assist any way they could. Highly recommend this hotel for its value for money and amazing room.

“Great find”
Huuuge renovated rooms. Super clean, well equipped with a kitchen, and large bathroom. The bed was large, although it sank as time went on. So not fantastic if you need a better support for your back. Right in the middle of Burnie and a short walk to the penguins. It’s a walk up hotel so not suitable if you cannot carry bags upstairs. I’m glad we stayed there.

“Great place in central Burnie for solo traveller. ”
Easy to park, get to room, Massive room for one person. Good breakfast options. Nice and handy for places to eat and a short stroll to the beach.

“Stay in Burnie”
Loved our stay. From the staff showing us to our GIANT room and explaining all we needed to know, to the ease of checking out, it was great. Not what we expected but very happy with what we got. Centre of town and easy to everywhere we needed. Will be back and happily stay there again! Thank you

“A home away from home! ”
This place is so homely. It’s so spacious and has extreme cosy vibes. You are instantly relaxed the moment you step inside. They can help you carry your bags up the steps upon requests. The ammenities were perfect. The attention to detail was immaculate. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, honestly it was so good! I highly recommend this place! And the location was the best! It’s close to everything.

“Wonderful stay”
What a gem of a place. Large rooms with large bathroom and shower. All of the furniture, linen, towels of excellent quality. Quiet, secure and close to shops and the beach. One of the best hotels in Tassie so far.

“Lovely beautiful boutique hotel”
Manager was friendly and polite. Room was spacious with a well stocked and well thought out pantry. Bathroom was pristine and clean. And location was great, within walking distance to the beachfront and we had a fantastic view of the sea from our windows

“A1 excellent hotel”
I was in Burnie for a hospital visit. This hotel is as central as possible, the rooms are extremely spacious, every amenity was perfect. Sparkling clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff 5*

“Spacious and clean, helpful staff”
We had a wonderful night's stay at Burnie thanks to Ikon and its cheery staff. Checking in was a breeze, and the room and toilet were clean and spacious. Pantry was well-stocked and the hotel was in a convenient location with ample parking. Wifi and heater worked well too! They even delivered newspapers to our room!

“Highly recommended! 5 stars!”
Location location location!! My goodness, I could not recommended this hotel enough. Location is great! It's very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was awesome! I would also like to add, dealing with Laura was an absolute pleasure! Laura was so helpful and informative. We will definitely be back! Thanks for having us!

“Ikon for a day”
Stayed at this hotel for 1 night in between travel from Stanley to Strahan by bus. Located at city center, walking distance to main bus stop at Cattlie St, close also to Target, Burnie mall and Burnie beach. Fast food restaurants like MacD or KFC are nearby as well. You can order a cab to go to distances far off such as Emu Valley Rhodenderon garden if not having car. The lady managing the reception area offered us even a larger room - a family room for the same price, so was great with 2 rooms and just 2 of us. A very large suite indeed with Bose radio, large tv, 2 Vuctorian style large mirrors, stocked up mini bar and all room amenities in there. Very clean room. Only issue we had at this hotel was we came a bit early on day of check in and no one was there. On dialing at the phone outside near entry gate, the lady who picked up suggested us to come at 2p.m at time of check in (not even at 9 or 10) - later she advised that the hotel was understaffed, so we understood. We had to spend a no of hrs pushing around our suitcases that was a bit uncomfortable, would have wanted to atleast keep the luggage at reception and then go. That option was no there on day of check in. So if you are coming early - before 1 or 2 pm you would need to inform the hotel in advance. But other than that, everything was fine incl. option to keep bags on day of check out for a while as we informed on that on check in. If you want super large rooms with all in room facilities and want to stay in heart of town, this place is great!

“Very Nice!”
The room is spacious, clean and very modern. It has everything a traveller needs. Luckily the evening sea breeze cooled the room very quickly so the room wasn't too hot. The room doesn't have AC but does have fans.

“Stay at Burnie ”
Burnie was a great place to stay and the hotel was in a great place. Right in the centre of town. However that was about it. There was no air con, which made it very hot to sleep. Yes their was a table top fan, but it was sooo noisy we couldn't here the TV due to the fan and the furniture wasn't comfortable nor was the bed, e en though it was supposed to be. Sorry but I won't be staying again

“Hidden Gem in the Centre of Burnie”
Large spacious room, lovely furnishings and linen, plus all extras like extensive range of tea, coffees, continental brekky and even lovely bathrobes. Would highly recommend this gem.

Beautiful Hotel, centrally located and walking distance to all amenities and the beach. Beautiful historic building with lots of stairs. So if stairs dont concern you then I would 100% recommend this Beautiful hotel. Room 2 on top floor king bed with spa magnificent

“Amazing ”
We enjoyed a 1 night stay at the Ikon in Burnie, this former local pub has been lovingly restored to become an amazing accomodation house. Our room was massive to say the least. A large king bed along with a single that was located at one end of the room opposite the bathroom so allowing privacy for the occupant. The bathroom is very large and well appointed, large double shower good sized vanity with plenty of storage and a generous amount of towels. Small things do matter, the toilet paper is not the usual substandard stuff used in most places where you use twice as much to achieve the same result, as with everything here quality seems to be the key. Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying over in Burnie.

“Unexpected surprise!”
The room was very spacious and modern - every bit a boutique hotel with heritage exterior and super modern interior. Friendly staff. Difficult disability/pram/baggage access rooms as the hotel is without a lift.

“The room is huge and stylish”
The staff is helpful. The room I booked said included breakfast, in fact that’s the six small boxes of cornflakes in the room, milk, yogurt in the fridge are the so called breakfast.
