Right in heart of tiny Smithfield tourist shops. Shaded parking off street. Stairs required, need to be agile.

We were able to stay here 4 nights and can't say enough about this charming inn. The location on Main Strret is ideal, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The manager,Bill, and the entire staff were professional and friendly. The dining room choices...a tavern setting, a formal dining area, and outdoor dining are all great settings for excellent food choices (the chicken potpie was yummy). And then there's the history (George Washington slept here) and antiques all made it a truly wonderful stay. We'll beback!

Our stay at the Smithfield Inn for our grandsons graduation was intended to give us a short vacation. The staff was pleasant and the facility was convenient, but there is much repaair work needed before I could reccommend it for an overnight stay. The mattress was so soft I slept in the living area because it collapsed in the middle if two slept on the bed. There were several signs of roof leaks on the walls and the A/c was turned down so low I had to wear a blanket in the room. I will go back at some point for a comparison trip, because I understand that the management recently changed hands and I want to give them a chance to make some upgrades and updates, but at present I can’t reccommend it. I am hoping that changes soon as the location is terrific and Smithifield is a great town.

“Quaint and Cozy”
My son and I only stayed for one night, because we came down from PA for his friend’s graduation party. We would definitely stay again the next time we are in the area. Such a cute place with so much history, just like the town! 🥰👍🏻👍🏻
