Our room had lots of mold, we were moved to another room, smaller, not beach front and no balcony, gave us a hard time about the price, we paid for a premium room which we were moved out of and they wanted to keep the cost the same, spent lots of time at the front desk, came home with COVID because there are only 2 elevators that sometimes work and are always packed full. Okay for passing through don't make a vacation out of it.

Location is key! Facilities and rooms are aged, but not in a bad way. Nice little lounge area, certain nights it get busier but mostly a great place to start your night before venturing out. Have stayed several times and will stay again!

My husabnd and i was in town for a close friend weekend (3 nights) birthday celebration! Staff was friendly, great location right on the beach. You receive wrist bands that give you access to the facilities, the elevators, and your rooms. I was very displeased with location of the room constant traffic, loud cars and music. We paid for self parking ea. Night bit there was no where to park whe. Coming back to the hotel from your evening ( cars Ade parking spaces blocking other cars in or you dri e around waiting for parking space hopefully to open. The bathroom us very small only one person in the space time and the tub had black spots in the corners that clearly need to be cleaned... day 2 after spending the day on the beach, we walked back to rooms and our wrist bands deactivated and we couldn't get in our rooms.. the wristbands are such a waist of time waist because you never know when they would work getting off/ on the evelvators as well

From the minute (well 10 minutes I waited in the valet line) it was insane. While all the valet personnel were nice and friendly, it was chaos and not just at check in. Check in went well except the extra $150 for resort fee and all those taxes. While my room wasn't ready, they let me check in and valeted my car. Once in the room it was VERY dated but clean. I was so excited to go to the pool and just relax. But that was not going to happen as there were kids ALL OVER screaming, yelling and just being rude all around. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing kids being kids but being rude and obnoxious is another thing. There is so much room on the property I feel an adults only pool would greatly benefit this resort. The property was beautiful and had a great fragrance throughout it. Unfortunately I'd never stay here again due to all the craziness and rude kids at the pool.

Full of Hidden fees, Valet was a nightmare no organization, Whole resort smelt terrible, it smelled musty but was being covered up with fresheners. The whole resort need restoration, the beds where old and uncomfortable floors dirty. The bath tub was clogged. The resort staff refused to let us use the resort amenities day of check out while family spent the day at the beach. They said after check out we had not access. Food and drinks were burnt and flat. Multiple guests where complaining through out our stay. All in all Terrible experience from start to finish.

Seeing that it is a 4-star hotel, we expect simple things like our room being clean, no hassle in parking etc. When we got there we don't know where to park since no one was assisting, and then when we asked, they told us that we have to pay for their parking (which I really hoped should just be included as a hotel amenity). When we arrived, the room doesn't feel clean. There is a lamp with no light bulb, the safe has not been reset, and some cob webbings, still, etc. The following day, we asked for room service but were told that it should be called 24 hours prior. Which we did not expect. The view outside was nice, and the location is good. The lobby smells great, but aside from that, I think you can find cheaper hotels with better rooms and amenities.

When checking in on Sunday afternoon we were told that we would need to pay $16.00 daily parking fees which the third party reservation company forgot to mention. We also discovered that to be able park under covered parking the cost would be $26.00 per day. We opted for self park in the uncovered parking lot. We then went to park only to discover that the parking attendants had lost our keys. After a vigorous search the keys were found. We were also given two free drink vouchers only to discover that you could only use them on Friday and Saturday. We had to go to the desk and only then did they give us a $15.00 credit for the error they had made. The room was okay but we discovered mold in the tub on the first night. We requested from the front desk that someone come and address the issue. It was not until the next morning that the cleaning lady tried to spray some kind of cleaner on the areas with no success. She informed us that they did not use bleach due to people who might be alergic to it. It is my opinion that only bleach would work. Our bathroom sink was also draing very slow. This was also reported and as of our second day the sink has not been addressed. This resort is showing some wear and it may be alright for most but I have not been impressed as of this posting.

The only issue we had was trying to get checked in due to the many vehicles at the entrance. There were numerous vehicles in the driveway and a very long line of people trying to check in. The staff was doing their best but seemed to have extremely slow computers.

When we arrived we had to pay hidden fees after we already booked our room online. When we finally got to our room it looked like it was briefly clean. There was a cheeze it container on the sconce on the wall, sand still in the room, hair all over the bathroom floor, yellow spots on the bathroom towels and a roach in the elevator. Later that night we go to take a shower and there is no hot water in the whole building. Wake up the next morning and still no hot water. The pool was closed upon arrival. For the money we paid to stay here we could’ve stayed somewhere nicer wouldn’t stay here again!

Our stay at the Plaza was great!! The pool, location and room were definitely as good or better than any others around!! The staff was helpful and friendly, we Will absolutely return!! 100% recommend !

Danny at the front desk was very helpful and is a plus to the Plaza Hotel. And learn the only thing that I would change would probably have the pool a little cleaner

We initially started our trip out at a different hotel, but it had so many problems and the staff they were very rude, so we decided to switch hotels thankfully the plaza had some rooms available. We stayed on the 11th floor on the side with a view towards the beach and The city. We were here for July 4 so we were able to watch the fireworks all around the city and the beach at the same time and it was gorgeous. The hotel is not far from Daytona lagoon or the other attractions and shops as well as being right on the beach. One of our favorite things would have to be instead of having a card to keep up with we had wristbands to allow us into the doors and gates on the property. And the staff here is very friendly and accommodating and polite and just making conversation and being sure that you were completely happy with your stay . We will definitely be staying at this hotel every time we go to Daytona.

Check in process was slow since they only have 2, maybe 3 working the desk. Rooms were dated, carpet not good. Other than that, great.

Staff do not call you when they say your room will be ready in a hour. It took 2 1/2 hours to get a room assigned because our room was not ready at 5:30pm. Checked in at 3:00pm as they told me I could. Kept calling each hour. 5:00pm on hold waiting for a manager for 30 minutes. Staff kept telling me they will call me when room was ready. Will not call you. Manager reported housekeeping has not cleaned the floor yet. He assigned us to a new room. Paid extra for coastal view balcony which we did get. Street side corner view of traffic and some beach view looking at a construction site next to hotel. Traffic very loud, employee elevator next to room, and not a quiet place to stay. Smoking and vaping at pool. It is not a smoke free resort as said. We have been here several years ago. Rooms are outdated and no changes. They did remodel the lobby, bar area and assigned wristbands which most people did not have on. Did not know who were guests or not. Last visit had people wandering off the street into the hotel begging for money in lobby, on the floors and elevator. Did not have this visit which is good. Valet parking and bell staff did a great job. Desk staff disappointing service at check in. Will not give you an estimated time when room will be ready. Customer service not the best. Understand being short of staff but making people wait on a floor to that had not been cleaned yet they should had called and asked us to check in later. Manager should know a estimated time when all floors will be ready.

Sounds fancy and it kind of is. It’s a huge facility. I don’t know how many rooms there are but too many for three elevators. There’s was always a lengthy wait for the elevator and recommend taking the stairs (if you can find them) and you’re not on a higher floor. Also be aware that while self parking is the cheaper option, the parking spots are limited and the parking lot has no lights. If you come back later in the evening and there’s no parking you will be forced to to utilize valet parking for an extra $10 a day. This is honestly kind of scammy since the valet just parks your car in the hotel garage. The garage is restricted and you can’t just park there yourself😞
