The owner was very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay at Glenville very much. The room was beautiful, cozy with a lovely view . We felt so relaxed that at certain points we didnt want to leave the guest house. A wide selection for the breakfast was offered in the morning. The only thing that could possibly be improved is the shower drainage system. It was a bit slow and water piled up at times but that didn’t affect us too much. Still, we would recommend this bnb to our family and friends.

The rooms are comfortable and spacious with good beds ensuring a good night's sleep. Breakfasts are filling and well cooked. The additional little comfort are the cakes that guests are invited to help themselves to plusa sweet on the way out of the door. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions as it is ideally located between Bowness and Windermere. There are so many nice small touches at the Grenville . They also provide the best breakfast I have had in 30 years of working away from home

What a lovely gem. We arrived early and absolutely no problem checking in - our room was ready and had a genuinely warm welcome. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable and all the little extras were greatly appreciated with a great eye to detail, everything you expect and more. Breakfast was superb, it will not disappoint, and again the choice and service were brilliant, the menu has ample to pick from as well as the buffet of cereals, pastries, fruits, yoghurts, continental meats and cheeses, and the cooked breakfast was spot on.. There is plenty of information in reception to help you pick a lovely day out. Complimentary cakes and biscuits in reception were beautiful and a cheeky treat. many thanks for a fantastic weekend, if we are ever back in the lakes we will most definitely stay again.

Room was clean, fresh and spacious, with added extras likes homemade biscuits and cake. Breakfast was outstanding and nothing was to much trouble. We loved it here and will definitely go back

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my partners 30th Birthday, we received a lovely warm welcome and were very impressed with our room (room 3) Breakfast was fantastic and the location was 5 min walk to Windermere and 10 min walk to Bowness. Free on site parking and even free umbrellas and treats left out for if your peckish. I would 100% recommend this Guest house and will hopefully return next year.

Peter and Jane are lovely hosts, and contributed to our interesting stay in Windermere. The breakfast is particularly fabulous, and Jane’s cooking is a highlight.

Great hosts always willing to provide help and guidance. Nice home made cookies and cakes were always available. Excellent Scottish breakfast was served. Even vegetarian option was available for the two members of our group. Peaceful location quite close to Bowness and Windermere.

Stay here for a fun time both around the lakes and when you return. The hosts are beautiful and make you feel so welcome. When you return little treats are always on offer and you never go without anything. All the home cooking is just beautiful and you will truly enjoy your lovely breakfast each day

Location , comfortable bed, nice ambiance, lovley decor, great breakfast choices , suited myself and husband as we usually go to hotels ,we had a restfull sleep no noise. Will be back .
