This is the place to stay if you’re tired of the clinical hotel chains with zero character. Firstly, the decor is individual to each room. Secondly, the owners put their own stamp on things like towels, sowing decorative, thematic material on each one as an added flourish. Third, the bed was comfy and the shower clean. Fourth, it’s reasonably priced for a fairly central location. But the best things about this place were the breakfast in the morning and the effort Marina and David put into making you feel welcome and looked after. Would definitely stay again.

Marina & David have been great host! Well prepared & delicious breakfast and their attention to details in making our stay memorable and the Paris room is gorgeous! Will stay again to relax & unwind... thank you 🙏🏻

Very good breakfast and good location, walking distance to the restaurants and shopping area. Car park was an issue as you can't park on the street in the morning

The most kitsch guesthouse ever - so much attention to décor obviously created with love and flair! Very clean, shower wasn’t the most powerful. Great hospitality, very welcoming. Interesting choice of breakfast’s. Location very convenient for the centre, shops and eateries. Would recommend if you are looking for something unique.

“8th - 10th Nov 2025”
Lovely hotel, very quirky decor, currently owned by a lovely friendly couple (though they are selling it). City centre is an easy 10 min stroll, literally accross the road there is: 24hr shop, other shop, quiet pub, diffrent food outlets. Roadside parking is expensive, however the hotel has a few parking spaces (book in advance) We stayed in "Cairo" room, very comfy bed, tea/coffee, shampoo, soap, shower gel, iron, TV all provided. Very nice enjoyable weekend away in a lovely place - I'd happily stay again.
