Love this hotel for its atmosphere, large grounds and good plentiful food. Staff are really helpful too. It is a very old building with the usual country house hotel quirks, like windows that don’t fit perfectly, so if you like slick and modern it might not suit. More than makes up for it in charm.

Used this hotel before and for what we wanted, ie location and general convenience, it works well. The hotel is clean and staff ok. The beds are exceptionally comfy. We would use again.

This was just an overnight stay. Very comfortable rooms and fabulous helpful staff. Bar meals are great too, very generous portions.

Single room 24 next to road is small and bathroom is small. Good bed and slept well. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Good Hotel in good location for golf course. Great breakfast buffet. Lovely view out of rm 121. Morecombe bay and golf course. But is dated now.

the staff were friendly enough, though being a wheelchair guest i required some assistance at breakfast, there was not many staff around, when they did assist the cooked breakfast contained no bacon and sausage, it wa addressed then the staff offered it after breakfast was done, it was refused as breakfast was ruined, they should get it right first. despite this the room was clean. the cleaner attended daily, the only problem i had was the grounds all had steps not raamp access to the woodland walk, not wheelchair friendly outside.

Rooms could be better… but it’s old. Location and views are great. Breakfast was good. No complaints. You are not expecting 5 star and it’s not. But does the job and we enjoyed our stay.

I had a lovely stay at the Cumbria Grand Hotel, it’s an old hotel with lots of character. I arrived later than planned in the evening so had to put my 1 year old and 3 year old straight to bed leaving no time to eat. The lovely staff working at the time took my things to my room for me, came and took an order for some food and drinks and brought them to the room for me so I was able to eat, even though they don’t offer room service. I was so grateful and they made sure I had everything I needed evening bringing condiments for the children. What exceptional service and made my stay for a mum with two young children as stress free as possible. Even at breakfast the lady put me on a table where I had plenty of room and got me a high chair and everything I needed, what thoughtful staff. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful building in lovely location with a woodland walk, ideal for taking your dog. Room had great views over the estuary and golf course but does require some updating. Very good value for money.

All in all...its fine. Value for money...the room we had was tired . But clean.. and we were incredibly nice and warm ...yes we would stay there again ..nice facilities..location super...and great parking ..and safe .so get booking....thank you.

Very disappointed with our stay. Hotel needs a complete refurbishment and millions spending on it. Room had wall paper peeling from ceiling not sure why it was on ceiling but never mind. Duvet cover ripped. Mattress had springs coming through. Room not clean. Old mattresses just dumped at end of car park. Plus paid £107 for a twin room! Should have been £140 but got discount because we used this website. Not impressed. Would have changed hotels ifcould have done.
