Heating only came on at certain times so room was freezing. So bad I couldn't sleep. Continental breakfast was lacking.

The hotel itself was in a lovely location close to restaurants, shops, the zoo and a short bus journey into the centre. The hotel in itself was dirty, there was dust all over the room and the walls were filthy. The ‘continental’ breakfast was disappointing with burger cheese and slices of ham. Was expecting more of a variety. The staff were lovely and were very open. Just wish it was a bit cleaner.

In the booking it says only 37£, thats 75% Discount. Ive it would be 100% = 148£ !!!!!! Thats a big overestimation!!! Not very nice to get on this way costumers

if u have young children, better look for else where as the parking s not convenience. u will need to park by the busy main road and u will need to climb on stair case to be able to reach your room. if u have huge luggages u need to avoid this hotel

Please note that we never advertised that we have parking on site, however you can park your car on a quiet side road for free. I would like to assure you that if you noted us at time of your booking regarding the ground floor room we would have been more than happy to accommodate your request. We checked in relatively late were still greeted with smiles! The room was very spacious, clean, and cozy. After our stay, we also had a very early check out and were shown where we could grab some quick fruit and breakfast items on our way out. Excellent hospitality all around!

Stayed there this past Saturday night. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely although old-fashioned but this is due to the type of building. Breakfast was super. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Stayed here for the night with a friend after flying back from a holiday. The owner was lovely and gave us a bigger room than the one we originally booked so we could each have a bed.

This hotel seems to make no effort because they know that they can sell their rooms, at whatever price, when there is a big event on in Edinburgh. In our case it was the Rolling Stones playing at Murrayfield, I tried all the hotel search sites but found everywhere full or charging £200 - £300 for one night. This hotel was priced at £160, this for a room which hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. The whole place is tired and in need of a major refurbishment, it screams 1980's with its carpets, bedcovers and decor. The bed was hard and lumpy, the windows ill-fitting and doing nothing to reduce the noise from the busy A8 outside. The bathroom radiator had no valve and was therefore on full-blast constantly. Little sleep was had. Breakfast was passable. There is no car parking available; I was told to park in the side streets nearby - I'm sure the local residents love them for that.

We stayed two nights for a gig at Murrayfield. Yes, the decor is a bit dated but can’t fault their facilities and friendliness of staff. No issues during our stay.

“Slightly disappointing”
Good location for what we needed but room was really showing signs of age. Bed was very uncomfortable. A lot of noise late at night from guests being shown to their rooms. Breakfast was quite good.
