I needed to stay in the area for one night ahead of a meeting. I only needed a room to sleep in and the cost was really reasonable. Having read other reviews I was a little unsure what to expect but the room was very clean, the bed comfy, the location ideal for me and best of all the shower was super hot and water pressure was great. Only downside was the room really needs proper curtains not the blinds they have which just do not cut out light nor stop people being able to see right in. The reception were great they called me to check what time I was arriving and even upgrade me to a double bed on arrival rather than two singles (I was travelling alone) so was appreciated. The hotel is obviously undergoing some renovations and should be better once complete but for my needs it was ideal and superb value for money.

Arrived was told by a young child i had not got a room. Then his sister arrived to inform me that my room had been cancelled. I said i would not drive 4hrs to a room that had been cancelled. What are you going to do about it. Said nothing no room. I was so upset by this point. I had to drive all the way home and not able to attend my function the following day. Which i had paid for as well. Now you know why i was so disgusted. I am an old lady on my own. With no other accommodation.

6 year old on reception, 12 year old in pyjamas cleaning rooms, The hotels roaming dangerous growling / barking dog, The taxi driver who collected me said the hotels got a contract with Birmingham city council, to rent rooms to homeless smack heads and ladies of the night and he doesn’t pick up from there normally

“CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN”
Got there and was given a room with no blinds so anyone who want to walk outside our room can see me and my wife naked, the toilet had poo and wee in it and there was no hot water in the entire hotel. This is the dirtiest most disgusting place I have seen. When complained to reception they bring me the owner of the hotel with gold teeth in a tracksuit who thinks he is some gangster running a brothel. I want a refund. I left from there and never stayed the night how can you sleep in a room that anyone can watch you in bed because there are public balconies outside your window, piss and poo in the bathroom and no hot water. Disgrace this place needs to be forced closed by the council it's filthy what if I took my children is vile.
