Asked for an extra 20 mins before checking out to be told I would have to pay the late check out fee. Jeeze it was an extra 20 mins not gonna hurt. Disappointed. Room was very basic and old and molde around d shower.

Disgusting, drab hotel that looks as though its not had any maintenance work done in over 10 years. We had no hot water during our 2 night stay so couldn't shower or bath our baby. We were only offered a 10% refund. Disgraceful.

Needs refurbishment but was spotless and very good value for money so wouldn't complain ,we paid £53 which included breakfast, brilliant.

A huge disappointment. Do not believe the pictures and 4 star rating. This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It is tired, old, dirty and tatty. It's hard to know where to begin but even before you get to your room you will see threadbare and torn carpets and filthy lifts. In my room I arrived to find blood on the wall, a filthy fabric chair which was dirty and stained, a bathroom that smelled of vomit, holes in the wall, lampshades that were stained and cock-eyed, just one thin pillow....I could go on and on. I got a coffee in the 'Java Lounge' which was given to me on a dirty tray with ring marks from previous drinks. Whilst sat there trying to drink it the cleaner complained about where I was sat and asked me to move....3 times no less in a rude manner. I cancelled my stay and got a refund. It's a fraud that this hotel is allowed to advertise itself the way it does and as a 4 star. I noticed that they were advertising for new staff and describing the hotel as being prestige and boasting of modern rooms - what a joke and either purely delusional or an outright lie. The rooms and decor are on a level with a cheap hotel in Blackpool unchanged for the last 30 years. In short do not stay

We stayed at the Daresbury Park after Creamfields the hotel was well equipped for the festival goers with mini buses running back a d forth to the festival. They provide bags for your muddy boots which was good. The room was a bit of a let down and I'm glad I got it discounted. The bed was a super king and clean. But the bathroom was dated, and there was black mold round the tiles on the bath and shower screen. I cut my foot on the carpet rod between the bathroom and main room and the lights could only be turned on and off by the front door so we had to walk round the room in the dark after switching the lights off to go to sleep. The hotel just needs a bit of renovation, a rewire and it would be fine. On checking out, I wasn't asked if everything was OK so I'm guessing the staff weren't interested. Shame really. However for a 25min walk from creamfields it suited us for the night, but when we lookto stay in the area for none festival reasons I'll maybe put more effort in my selection

Good value for money, negative would be room was very hot all the time and shower was very hot and water would go everywhere, bit good place and wish had more time to try out the gym and steam room

The hotel rooms are very dated. Ripped wallpaper , worn dirty carpet, bathwaste didn’t drain as required even when showering. No way is this a 4 star hotel . On a plus staff are friendly its close to the motorway and breakfast is decent. Seem’s the public areas look good but the rooms lack it

Terrific value for a bolthole when going to a function locally, only issue was no a/c in the room, but the hotel did provide a fan. Crazy British summer conditions! All good.

I have stayed at the Daresbury several times over the last 2/3 years. It is large and used for Conferences. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I do not use any of their facilities - Spa or Restaurant - I only need somewhere to sleep. However, the Restaurant - is similar to a large Company Restaurant. Not relaxing. The Hotel always has Tour Groups staying. It is value for money. You can visit Cheshire Oaks, Chester and if you wish to go further you can visit Liverpool. All lovely places.

Took more than half hour to check in even we have had booked online and paid in advance Key card stopped working twice in three days stay and the reception was nearly five minutes walk from our room. Wi-FI was crap you could hardly use it in your room. Only allowed to use for 20 mins free then surcharge applies. No information about the number to dial reception had to walk down to the reception to ask for it. TV remote didn’t work at all had to stand or sit next to telly to change channels or control the volume. Spoke to the reception three times during our stay despite the remote been replaced still didn’t work I gave up in the end. Only four as heats of tea and coffee do two people staying three nights. No Shower gel in the dispenser had to go down to reception to get it filled in. Mound on the bathroom ceiling. Two broken socket in the room holes in the face plate very sangres if a child or an adult accidentally put their fingers through. Staff were unpleasant.

Stayed here for 3 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend. Room was perfect. Staff always very helpful. Loved the Hotel Swimming pool & Spa. There was a free Disco in one of the Functions rooms near the Hotel Bar, for all paying guests on Friday & Saturday evening. To did not have to go out anywhere for entertainment. Bar prices very reasonable. Had a lovely All you could eat buffet breakfast for £10. Worth the money. Will definitely visit again.

It was quiet and peaceful giving us a much needed break. However, a little out of the was and no good if you don't have a car. The housekeepers defiantly need to go on a bed making course the standar of housekeeping was appalling

We arrived on easter sunday at about 22.00. No food available, only a sweets dispenser, nearly empty. We drove around the area for over 20 miles, no open restaurant, not even a fish and ships shop.
