部屋は広く、天井も高かったのですが、一階の部屋ということで窓を開けたら壁でした。また、通用口の真横の部屋なので人がよく通り夜中でも声が聞こえる場所でした。シャワーを使ったら、排水溝から水が抜けるのが遅く、体を洗い切る前に外に溢れそうになり、途中で出る羽目になりました。その後時間が経ったら水は排水溝から流れましたが、詰まり気味だったのだと思います。３月の半ばでしたので、布団が一枚では寒く、暖房だけでは夜中寒さで目が覚めました。スタッフの人たちはとても感じが良かったです。

Very old hotel. Many rooms ( including ours) are not on lift level and we had to carry our luggages across few staircases. Floor slanted ( not level), very tiny toilet and the door can’t close properly. We booked 2 standard rooms but was given basement rooms. The hotel refused to honor Agoda ‘s booking and we have to top up to upgrade to the standard room we booked, not before carrying the luggage’s across at lease 5-6 staircases. DO NOT take the basement rooms! They are terrible. Agoda refunded us the additional charges for upgrading after we provided them with document proof

We stayed 3 nights. Very friendly and efficient staff. Rooms are dated and fairly basic but the beds were comfortable and we had a view of the sea. Good choice for breakfast, happy there was a couple of vegetarian options to choose from , can help yourself to toast and cereals. Only real negative was the wifi signal in our room- it was almost non existent. Other than that an enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Booked a full sea view room, but offered me a side sea view room and no room to arrange. The staff even dont feel sorry about that and thought it was a matter of course.

My room was filthy, staff completely useless and had no interest in fixing things. I honestly would have been happier in a hostel.

I stayed in a nice sea-view double room with a bargain price from Agoda. The hotel is under renovation with scaffolding covering the entire building including the partial view from the room. The room itself is clean and spacious. However, the building is very old, the elevator is tiny and scary. The worst part was when I was sleeping, I heard all the thudding and squeaking noise all over, especially from the ceiling. I heard all the steps made upstairs all night and made my stay very unpleasant as I couldn't sleep. Also, I kept hearing the shower and flushing from the room next door which is just right behind my head. I can see the good attention of the hotel in making improvement but this would not lead to any better turn if they keep letting people stay in this kind of room which is supposed to be the best room of the hotel. I paid for a room and expected for a full-service, at least the most important point of the hotel which is to let me sleep but sadly I couldn't even do that.

Lovely room 212 I book a sea view but when I go there the window Dirty and Scaffolding outside our window so not much of a view would of been nice to have been told prior to booking the hotel.

After arriving at the hotel which was very unattractive from the outside with scaffolding and a crumbling front, I was then further disappointed that our sea view room was surrounded by the scaffolding and complained as it had not warned of this at time of booking, it looked like a building site. The room was clean and tidy and pleasant also had a fridge which was a bonus in the hot weather conditions but no glasses were provided in the room as you would normally find in a hotel. Staff in the evening at the bar were very friendly. Breakfast was poor in comparison to other 3 star hotels I’ve stayed in Brighton through the years. It looked like the cheapest ingredients had been sourced and you had to ask for juice, when that should have been free to get yourself. Overall I was not impressed as nothing came of my complaint and I have still had no response to the email I sent on my return home. A shame as a few tweaks and this hotel could be a lot better.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and polite. Breakfast was reasonable. We were surprised to know it was a basement room. No WIFI downstairs. No air-conditioning and the carpet was old and stained.

Room was small and pokey. Hot and stuffy. No AC but small fan provided. Breakfast was nice but I could have cooked breakfast or fruit. If I wanted both I had to pay extra.

Comfortable room in great location. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Clean hotel with good views - pity about the scaffolding at present covering front of hotel.

My family and I had a really good experience at The Brighton Hotel. The staff were friendly and nice. The room was clean and a little bigger than expected. We were there in March, where the weather was very cold, and when we notify the staff that the room was still a bit chilly even with the heating in the room, the staff immediately informed us that they will bring up a spare heating into our room. We really appreciate it as it was really cold outside. The set breakfast was also nice with toast available. We will stay here again if we come to Brighton again.

“あり得ないホテル”
最悪なホテルです。 1月中旬に宿泊しました。真冬で夜間の気温は0-1度にもかかわらず、窓から外気がガンガン入ってくる。それに対してヒーターはラジエター１つしかない。あまりの寒さに妻が入浴していたところ、フロントから突然電話があり、バスタブからお湯を流すと下階のフロント天井からお湯が漏れてくるから、バスタブは使用するなとのこと。夫婦でブルブル震えて布団に包まっていました。本当にあり得ないホテルでした。
