Room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Staff was excellent, no complaints. Didn't have much choice of eggs for breakfast, just scrambled eggs? Those too didn't seem to be feom fresh eggs, but the factory premix. It would have been nice to have fresh eggs. Also, thermal spa was additional cost even for hotel guests. Most hotels offer to free to resident guests. Lovely location. We will.come again when we visit our family.

Swan hotel is in a convenient location for Bedford town, close to the high street, and parking adjacent (at extra cost). Just be careful when checking in that you understand the terms and conditions. We asked if breakfast was included, and were told we could get breakfast, and that they would print something out , and we could come back later. the cost of 10GBP per room for breakfast is reasonable, but only my wife had breakfast except day, I only had 2 breakfasts, but we got charged for all 6 days. On the other hand we got to check in early at 11am when arrived, which was great. Overall its probably the nicest hotel in Bedford town, and I would definitely stay there again.

Great location near the river, stunning architecture. Room was small but neat. Could do with a gym and / or pool. There is a spa to book thermal spa for a cost but it was fully booked. Beware that there is no 12pm checkout as advertised - it’s 11am. The receptionist was quite rude when I requested the advertised time as I had planned my day. Overall good though.

I would definitely stay again. Lovely decor. Unfortunately I didn't have time to use the facilities but I will be back. The only issue I had was the car park was full by the time I got there so had to park along the embankment and was late at night on my own.
