My friend and I had booked 2 rooms. We arrived about 5pm but could not find anybody around to help us or check in despite ringing the bell at the desk and calling our “Merhaba and hello” several times including around in the adjacent cafe hall. Eventually an older woman came around and yelled for the receptionist and banging on a room door within the reception area. Finally, a young lady came out seemingly not happy as if she had been pulled away from a party. I spoke to her in the basic Turkish I know informing her about our reservations and offering her my local ID while my friend offered her passport. I requested if we could be assigned rooms on the same floor or at least the same wing. She said she would assign me in the rear wing. I inquired if I could have a room with a double bed instead of 2 twins. It was hard for me to understand the heavy accent in which she spoke English, so I tried to explain what I was requesting. At this she became very irritated with me and handed the keys to me and walked away. I walked to the rear wing which was an older wing of the hotel with spacious stairs and rooms. My friend who had been checked into the newer upgraded wing, got a fairly tiny room. My friend is tall and could barely move around the bed to the other side or in the bathroom without banging into the TV credenza, closet and the bed. I was comfortable with the space and the overall layout of the room, bathroom and hallways of my wing however, the minute one stepped into the older wing you were greeted with a strong smell of cat pee everywhere. For both nights that we were at the hotel I didn’t get any sleep as a house male cat and dog howled all night in the courtyard separating the 2 wings. The second night, a couple on the floor above me were in a constant fight and endless yelling bout after 1am in the morning for over 10 minutes. And because there was no carpeting in the hallways or rooms of the wing I was in, I could hear the shoe heels of all guests on the cement flooring of other guests throughout the night, up and down the stairs and hallways including the room right above me. Upon check-out I was presented with two 300TL bills for the 2 fried eggs each one of us had the previous morning. Upon inquiring I was told only the omelet and boiled eggs were included in the buffet breakfast we had paid for. I informed the gentleman who was checking me out that we had not been informed when we asked if we could get some, and also that on both days the coffee and juice machines had not operated, leaving us with a choice of tea. When I mentioned the all-night howling of the dog and cat that roamed up and down all the hallways, he acknowledged and apologized because he said those were house pets. He did offer to take off one 300TL if I would just pay the other 300TL for the eggs. I did that because I realized it was not worth ruining my day. Bodrum is a beautiful get away, but we were certainly disappointed with the lack of common maintenance, service and courtesy expected when staying at a hotel.

Honestly, it was a wonderful experience in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room to a sea view one. Which was really appreciated. One min to beach. It very convenient whether you prefer swimming during daylight or at night. You gonna like it

It was a very bad experience with respect to cleanliness The bed sheets and towels were not clean . There was dust and spots on them. There was no lock to the door , opening in the balcony. I understand that it was off season , but atleast staff should have bothered to clean the room.
