We stayed here for a week - probably too long - but had a very enjoyable stay. Beautiful setting. Staff friendly and helpful. Hiking possibilities and close to Doi Tung and Golden Triangle, both of which are highly recommended. Would recommend staying here if you have your own transport, as there is not much closeby and staff not as well informed about what is possible. Generally they cater to short stay groups. Food doesn't have a wide selection, but we were all able to eat well. Accommodations clean. Evening meals excellent. Swimming pool hadn't been cleaned so kids were reluctant to use it. Excellent value and we very much felt at home.
Sorry about the swimming pool, our filtration system broke down last week. Sorry we couldn't get that fixed during your stay, it's difficult to find competent technicians at short notice around here, but it has now been repaired.

You will get your own house., a very large house. It is clean. It has good scenery. But that is all. There are fitness, pool, restaurant. But they are exists just because they have to be. But since you visit Chiang Rai, you should go eating somewhere else outside.
Thanks for your nice review. . . I'm a bit confused however by your comment about our fitness, pool and restaurant. That's like saying we provide you with a bed just because we have to.

This was an excellent value for money hotel. The feeling there was very warm, and welcoming. This place is perfect for a simple get away, although you WILL need transport as it is not close to anything. Only small gripe is that the restaurant closes a little early.

Very helpful manager, came to bring us flash-light when there was power cut. Nice view from the swimming pool, ok breakfast, food from rom service was also good. Nice quiet location not too far from main road between Chiang Rai and Myanmar.

Really friendly and helpful staff, if you enjoy an escape from the hustle and bustle this is the place to stay...i loved every minute of my 3 day stay here...woke to the sounds of nature...beautiful property the chalets were super clean with everything you need...do it you wont regret it...i will return one day thats for sure !!!

Perfectly located amidst nature. This is the right location to relax in Chiang Mai. The hospitality from Mr Patrick and his staff takes good care f his guests They even prepared vegan food for us in dinner and breakfast If you are morning person, walking on grass sipping a cup of tea and just staring at he mountains can be so relaxing Suggestion for Resort : Try to include a few recreational activity for e.g so board games, pool table, badminton etc . Specially to spend sometime in late evening Thank you

When we arrived we were perhaps the first guests after renovation. The buildings/bungalows are just perfectly organized. The owner is a very kind person and I was able to meet his cat as well (or at least one of the cats). Details: House/bungalow: You find the basic TV channels (if you want more, have a USB with you) and you have a bathroom with shower only. No bath tub, but if you are on a tour around, you will not have time to sit in a bath tub anyway. Water/tea/coffee and creamer are served for free. The others (can of beer and chips) are at a very competitive price available. The bed sheets are so fresh that you can feel the cleanliness. Besides, the beds are extremely comfortable. Around the bungalow you find plenty of green areas. Breakfast: is quickly prepared and the staff assists you with everything. If you have a special wish and you explain, they prepare how you want. Just perfect! 100% highly recommended for travelers with cars!

Patrick,Sophie,staff couldnt do enough for you .nice to chill by the pool walk around the grounds or just sit on the balcony of your room and listen to the birds and have a beer from the mini bar .breakfast excellent the restaurant is set in beautiful peaceful surrounds loved it thanks again lovely people lovely place

If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. When the only thing you can hear is the room A/C unit, you know it's quiet. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is nice too.

If you plan to visit north Thailand for few days, (the golden triangle, tea plant garden, etc), there is a good place to stay. Staff are friendly and willing to help, management seems good and willing to improve, and as a family trip this place provide what i expected. Comments provided by other travelers said about this place is not easy to find, the water heater and water supply is not very strong, this is true but most of the hotel i stayed in Thailand (this trip i stayed two hotels in Chiang Rai, the other one is twice the price of here.) compare with here, they are good enough, at least my 5 and 7 years old boys can bath happily without problem. I think most of the travelers come here drive by themselves, and trust the google navigation you will find the place without trouble. The highway out is dark at night, with little or no street light, but is same as i travel in Phuket, Pattaya and Hua Hin, so you travel in Thailand you need to accept it.
It's refreshing to read a realistic comment about the issues that come with travelling in Thailand. Personally I find it deeply irritating when a customer gives a hotel a low score for the poor infrastructure surrounding the hotel. I can only control what happens in this hotel. If you want bright streets and safe roads when you holiday, go to Switzerland. Thailand is Thailand and you appear to have realised that. Thank you.

Words cannot express our happiness, and our pleasure to have chosen Kaeo Fa Sai Resort to stay during our visit to Chiang Rai. A huge thanks to Patrick and his wife to make our trip a memorable one. When we booked we received an email from the Resort that there may be a delay in the check in, but were pleasantly surprised to have our room ready when we arrived. Initially we were assigned 2 adjoining rooms, but as it did not serve our purpose, we requested for a bigger room. The reception was very kind to take us around the other types of available rooms for us to check and decided to take the family room and to our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to the family room. The chef at the Resort was a fine lady who took Thai cooking to a different level altogether that was not only delectable but also awesome in taste. Till we visit Chiang Rai again and stay at the Kaeo Fa Sai Resort.
If the cook gets any more compliments, we'll have to give her another pay rise! I'll be sure to pass on your kind words. Many thanks. Patrick

A little way away from the bustle of the town but lovely quiet location and great, very helpful hosts. The accomodation is clean and has all you need and the pool looks out onto the mountains. Patrick, the host, is extremely helpful and helps you make the most of the stay - elephant rides, hot spa, waterfalls etc etc. Highly recommended.

Great location for visiting sites around the northern most points of Thailand. Staff very friendly and rooms nice and clean. Meals at restaurant where excellent as well. 😊

After spending time in Bangkok we were looking for a place out in the country where we could relax. The resort is perfect for sitting in peace and unwinding, or taking a relaxing swim in the pool. We were booked to stay at the resort for 2nights but after spending a day there we decided to extend our stay. It is 25km north of Chiang Rai and isolated in its own spot of beauty. Upon arrival we were met and welcomed by Patrick, his wife and young son. We were shown to our bungalow which was very clean, spacious and has an excellent wifi connection. Breakfast is in the form of a buffet and the chef cannot do enough for you. In fact all the staff are extremely friendly and customer service is evidently paramount here. The restaurant is very good value and has an extensive menu. I highly recommend the phanang curry. The festival of Loi Krathong fell on one of the nights during our stay and we were kindly invited to attend the local village celebrations with Patrick and his family. We had a great night joining in. If we're ever in the area again we would definitely make this our first stop.

First to be honest, you will need a car. And Google or apple maps. It's not super easy to find. But once there everything is great. The rooms are vast and comfortable, the pool is great, with some shade and a shallow part for the kids. The staff was great, friendly, sympathetic, we were upgraded because the resort was empty (raise season is giving us plenty of quiet time). The breakfast was delicious and sufficient. The restaurant was closed for other meals but only because we told them we'd find something by ourselves. There are a couple of small shops close by, and some restaurants on both sides of the highway if you have a car. This is the perfect place for relaxing, but not so much if you do not have a car, or if you are in Chiang Rai for shopping.
I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Indeed, we're far enough from the city to make our location quiet and natural, yet close enough to hop into a taxi for a trip into town. Being situated north of the city also makes us an ideal springboard for exploring the northern border and Golden Triangle. Note that our restaurant is actually open from breakfast until 21:00 HRS. “コテージかバンガローか？”
翌朝に予定したドイメーサロンへのアクセスに便利かなと思ってチョイス。 泊まった部屋は２ベットルームだが、入口は横に並んでいて別部屋になっていた。 当然、ダブルベットやシャワールーム、テレビなんかも別々。 部屋内は加齢臭？以外に不満はなく綺麗で清潔。 電気温水シャワーは3000Ｗと思しき電力の弱いタイプなので、冬場は最高出力で蛇口60％捻りという出し方でないと寒い思いをするだろう。 シャンプーと石鹸とシャワーキャップは用意されていたが、歯ブラシは無かった。 テレビはケーブルタイプなのでリモコンが二つ置いてあり、間違って本体のリモコンを触ったりすると映らなくなるのでご注意。 チェンライ市内からは遠くて、入口を探すのに困難な立地。 Googleナビと睨めっこ運転で、曲がり角を間違えずに済んだが（金ぴかの寺門をくぐる）、もし行き過ぎるとＵターンで面倒な事になりそうな国道の交通量。 ちょっとコンビニでもと外出したりすると、かなりの距離を走ることになるし、夜の国道一号線には街灯もなく暴走トラックやバスがガンガン走っていのでホテルへ戻るのに集中力を必要とした。 部屋内には電話が設置されてなく、晩御飯は自前の携帯で注文するルームサービスを利用した方がよさそうだ。 朝ご飯は本館の右端にある建物で、7時半にスタート。 タイご飯はそこそこ食せるが、パンはペラペラ、ジュースはオレンジだけ、果物はスイカだけ。珈琲はドロドロの黒いやつだったが値段相応だとはいえるだろう。
