街から結構離れていますが、その分、部屋からの見晴らしが綺麗です。ホテルに到着してオーナーさん夫婦の笑顔にほっとしました。お部屋は綺麗に清掃されています。朝夕の食事を頂きましたが、どれも心がこもっていて美味しかった。翌朝、体調の悪い私を知り合いのドライバーさんの手配をしてくれました。ドライバーさんは診察が終わるまで、ずっと付きそってくれました。本当に優しい方々です。またキャンディを訪れる時には必ずここに宿泊します。ありがとうございました！

We had stayed for three days. Room was cleaned very well and comfortable to stay. You can see the great view of nature forest from your room.We could spend peaceful and calm time. In addition, the owner and his wife was so friendly and they have good hospitality. But the hotel location was about 5km away from central city, you need to take a bus or cycle taxi. 3日間滞在しました。部屋はよく掃除されており、すごしやすいです。部屋からは自然のすばらしい景色を見ることができます。穏やかで静かな時間を過ごすことができました。さらに、オーナーと奥さんは非常に友好的でおもてなしをしてくれます。しかし、ホテルの位置は中心街から5Kmほど離れており、バスやトゥクトゥクを使用しないといけません。

Very nice people, breakfast is humble but tasty. Rooms are old and the mattress is not comfy and the bedsheet wasn't clean or maybe clean but has a lot of stains. Expect a lot of bees and bumblebees around and in the room. The view is spectacular though

What a beautiful view and drive up the hill to the villa! We totally loved our stay here. Hosts were an amazing couple who made us feel comfortable and helped us in every way possible with our stay. Breakfast spread was amazing with options for vegetarian and otherwise. I would recommend anyone to stay here without a doubt. It’s a bit if drive from Kandy city center but then you see the city and have the most breathtaking views you’d not see from other touristy places in Kandy.

We booked the place looking at the Agoda reviews. The only fact in the reviews is that the couple who runs this 4 room shack in a 1000 sq ft plot is friendly, rather over friendly to cover for the rest of the short comings. The approach from the main road is a bit isolate and scary and there is no proper lobby or reception. Rooms are of 100 sq ft size with 20 sq ft bath room, that means you have to squeeze in. We haven't opened the baggages for want of space. Balconies are there, but you might fall off if you sit in there. M Might be good if you are a single backpacker, but no space or facilities if you're going as a family. We checked out a day ahead, foregoing one day room charges. Am sure many were doing the same. Breakfast was good if you're looking for bread toast and omlett. Only thing that stood out was the couple used good quality crockery to serve the breakfast. But beware of cow dung smell from the next door cattle shed if you are having breakfast in the dining area.

Villa Anarula is a 15-minute drive from Kandy town, so it is not a convenient location. It is also vastly overpriced for what it is at $62/night. You can find much better deals and nicer places closer to Kandy. The only reason I had booked here was for the view and the bathtub, so I had booked a Deluxe Suite Room. We were put in a small and dingy room with no view and no bathtub. After I complained, we were moved into a marginally better room. Overall, I definitely do not recommend this place.

Lovely guest house, run by a lovely couple. Breakfast was beautifully done with fruit, omelettes, toast and fresh fruit juice. We also had dinner during our stay, which was great value for money with a lovely variety of home cooked curries, and rice. Highly recommended to book a 'river view' room, although the communal area has a great river view too. It is slightly outside of Kandy, with limited cafes/restaurants nearby. Tuk Tuks can be arranged. But as a restful spot to relax and unwind, it's hard to be beaten.

We stayed 4 nights at Villa Arunalu and we felt like home away from home. We were overwelmed by very warm hospitality of Suranjee and Aruna (owner's wife and him). Their breakfast and other dinners we had were delicious and well presented. Both Aruna and his wife were very kind, attentive, helpful and wonderful hosts.
