We are a family of 4 and recently stayed at Orchard Scotts Residences for 2 weeks. The property is in a great location, a short walk from the MRT station and not far from Orchard Street. The pool area is great, a relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. When we arrived the staff took the time to show us how everything worked and even recommended an online supermarket that delivered - we were out when the delivery was sheduled and the staff asked for our permission to enter the unit so they could put everything away for us! Once the staff found out it was our daughters birthdays, during the visit, they printed out individual cards and delivered them to our room with a family movie pass and a stuffed toy for both of them - they could not have been more lovely we were very touched by their kindness! Nothing was to much trouble for them. We were even upgraded to a bigger appartment. We had a fantastic stay - infact I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Singapore!

Great location, very central and walking distance to Newton Food Market and the Newton MRT however there is no lifts at the Newton MRT so it makes it difficult when you have a sleeping child in the pram. The hotel and facilities were exceptional and so well maintained. We really enjoyed the swimming pools, there are so many to choose from and extremely clean. Staff are so lovely and accommodating!! Breakfast is standard however there is plenty to eat!! Lovely spacious rooms and living area with washing machine and dryer which is so handy when you are on holidays and traveling light. Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back!

Facilites were good and the continental breakfast better than expected, but inadequate seating on a couple of days with more than a dozen people waiting for seats in the small area. We asked to take food to our room, which is not normally permitted, and the lovely breakfast ladies allowed us to do so. With 4 of us staying, we were told upon check in to ask our room attendant for towels for swimming. She gave us 2, so I asked for 2 more as there were 4 of us. The next time, she said she could only give us 2 as she got into trouble for giving us 4 towels, and asked us to call management to get authorisation for the additional towels. Does management expect people to share swimming towels?? This was a very reasonable request at a 5 star establishment and an unnecessary annoyance during our stay. Other than that, its quiet, spacious and well maintained.

What I did not like was all the windows have this transparent plastic on the glass and we could not see outside , no view at all we could not see whether it was raining or not or lots of wind . Sometimes Had a feeling of being imprisoned especially when we are used to outdoor living in Mauritius
